Description : short preview of my work in co-repetition of Amelia June who did the lyrics and vocals.......only comping in ballad style i think i´ll upload the complete arrangement as soon as all details have been finished.......... i like her voice and of course she deserves more attention ......so here´s only a short preview of her excellent vocals..........enjoy Co 2008 Psychotropic Circle featuring Amelia June
damn the vocals are right on cue. She definitely has some amazing talent. I'm looking forward to more like this one. Great song! try some beats with it
Country- Perhaps not the direction you were thinking, but for a moment I could almost hear twangy Guitars playing along with her. Tic-toc...
Sarah Mclachlan- Towards the end of the first play I was taken back to a memory of hearing her one big album from a few years ago. I'm thinking that this would fit this the best because currently it has all of those elements working for it. Then again, that might be expected/predictable. So if not that then...
Alt-rock- In the stylings of Coldplay, The Fray, Sara Bareilles, etc because the way it's crafted now it could also easily go that way. To give it a twist I'll say...
Soft Industrial- To pick up and accentuate the mood of the lyrics. Placing a musical representation of what she might be feeling through heavier notes and dancier drums. Adding an electrical sharpness (through effected Guitars or synths) to contrast the soft and fluffy vibe it gives off now. I mean, if her soul is crying then why would the music be smiling? From there we have my last pitch...
Blues-Jazz fusion- Another route you could take since her vox are seemingly perfect for it. I'm at a loss as to what the mix ratio could be between the blues and the jazz, but I'm thinking with the lyrics again, it should slightly teeter-totter back n forth between the 2.
Or, I dunno. I'm just throwin out the first thing my mind's catcher puts up. So. I look forward to hearing the final product of this. Good luck, have fun, and later on!
hi Donnie
first of all thanks for plenty detailed critics and given inspirations.........you´re a special listener with lots ideas and advice for a musician.....this time i took the Blues-Jazz-Fusion Route.....as always.......but the Soft Industrial remark nevertheless sounds very interesting because it was the first impression associated by the vocals
cheers,PC
Beutiful piano work. She has excellent vocals. A great piece. When it switches from the piano to the elec. keys it almost goes from a ballad sound to a jazz sound. Great song.
Very mellow, I really enjoyed listening to it. Amelia has got an amazing voice... The rhodes sound just right.
Now you've got me wanting to listen to the finish piece...
Excellent work guys.
Cheers S.
Description : A track I did with a friend ages ago. I play the guitar and he sang and wrote the lyrics. The lyrics came mostly from headlines in the newspaper that sunday. Recorded using a crappy old microphone direct into cubase with a few overdubs

Description : There were two separate tracks in work, but who knows why I got tired with them and then decided to merge them (or at least what left from them) into one piece hence they originate out of same musical purpose. No worries...no world war was ment here, except my recent personal one...haha...and you don't want to know about it.:) It's not real etude by any means, yet it's quite alot about practicing...practicing...

Description : Remastered March 2023. Recorded live on two mics. For my wee daughter Tui; I wrote it sitting on the bathroom floor, keeping her company while she was in the bath....
Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
Description : A rhythm guitar track I made and sent to my cousin on the East Coast. Made with Tape-A-Talk app. from the Google Play Store. Download and collaborate with it.
Description : My very first acoustic piece in quite a while..
I hope someone grabs this and puts some vocals to it.
The software I used is Reaper, Addictive Drums and Gearbox.
Hardware is a Jackson RR3 plugged into a Line 6 Pod X3..
Description : Thats my newest Track all made out of free vst of the dsk series. Its a kind of chill out acoustic string thing that makes me thinking. Its very calm, inspirational and gives me power...
Mos' Request~
yes i´v added more instruments but the root track will rest for comparing.....same title (completed)
Reminds me of a movie but i can't remember it's name
Dam, cant wait for the final mix, its going to sound awesome :)
