Amazing -- I really appreciate how tight the arrangement is. It's no small thing to manage 24 tracks, keep it tight and coherent. This all blends very well. It's a lot of fun!

Way to go!

Nothing but crazy amounts of respect for you man. Alright, maybe a teensy bit of jealousy too. I can't imagine being able to play the saxophone so well (the key change... how did you manage to keep such a high note so steady? Absolutely incredible), let alone improv something so magnificent.

Thank you for posting.

Smashing Good Slap. I have been gone for awhile but it is nice to hear some of the looper legends again. Sound quality is pro as usual, your sax work is damn tasty as is the whole track. Very nice work.

Nice! Sound quality is excellent! There is alot going on in this track, I love it. Sounds very top notch!I love that you play live instruments! not to many people do it and do it well. I'd have to say that you are one of them that do it and do it well. This is why you are a superstar here on Looperman.I will have to check out some more of your work!

I say again, what can't you do slap? The track is smokin!! Yeah, it does drift into the pop vain a bit, but it's very nice and your vocals shine on the track. Also the great thing is you can still detect the ska undertones, niccceee! And man do I love your horn arrangements on this track, (I'm a horn junkie to the bone) simply awesome!! Faved no doubt, I haven't forgotten you slap, still working on the track. What I'm trying to do is a old school "jazz fusion" track. (I only hope I can pull this off) I tapped "Bill" to see if he would be interested in laying some guitar and he said he's game. Just need to find a good keyboard player and it's all good. Loved the track slap great job, cheers. D

Man...how cool is this! I hope when you perform this gear your wearing one of those cool pork pie hats....and a tight black suit!...super rhythm construction,no one can do it like you...plus when you take a solo the whole track shimmies and shakes...Hell man I've seen a lot of bands in this country try and add a Horn section and get that "Cookin' sound"..none of them comes up to the top of your socks...Bloody marvellous work..and then you add in your superb post production skills...this all adds up to Sonic Mastery...cheers Dave :)

what more can i say other than.....you have 81 tracks. which is a great thing, but i just can't review all. this is by far my favorite though. you really have a lot of talent with brass....much respect, youre a great musician. i like how you always have an undertone of ska in everything though. its adds a much needed flavor to songs that you never thought it would work with. keep up the good work!

(and as im noticing around here a lot)
*cheers slap*

Hi Lato, I've noticed your back! I haven't listened to any of your stuff in ages, so as soon as I finish this I'm off to get some ear candy..
Thanks for liking what I'm up to. There's loads of stuff on this site that I normally wouldn't listen to if it was on the radio or something, but! I do admire talent and effort and let's not forget the passion everyone shows in Looperworld... Now that I can't ignore, and if anything listening to these styles gives inspiration.

It never ceases to amaze me that your doing all this by yourself!..I mean these Ska bands all had a minimum of six people in them and here you are pushing the bar by your lonesome...unreal stuff man!..not to put Mike Oldfield of "Tubular Bells" fame down..but his work was very repetitious and mundane compared to what you produce...you don't play music so much as you are music, or the closest incarnation of it...your going to need a press secretary soon..I'd apply for the job but I ain't pretty enough!...cheers mate ;)
SLAPJOHNSON
SLAPJOHNSON replied Unknown
Hi Planet, I could seriously do with a press secretary. I do the music, while somebody just cracks on with the whole promotion side. That is my idea of heaven I must admit. Having a team of people working to promote and organise press, shows, airtime, promos ect...Dream on!!! Anyway I got your track through today and it's super. I will get the soprano on it asap....
