Hey pretty sweet house mix here! I like the basslines much! It's a bit mainstream for my ears still, but I can enjoy the vibes for sure. Reading the comments on the song, I saw you write "Old school was my generation"... I found it really interesting and funny... I'm assuming it wasn't meant as a joke right? Man, I better not drink today or I'll have to send more apologetic messages out tomorrow! Any way, very cool arrangement on the track, and the mixing sounds nice as well! Keep at it!
Hi FR,
A travel back in time it is (heck Yoda is alive and well!) albeit of the 21st century variety, Prodigy eat your heart out! love the intro and change at 0.30, great bridge at 3.37. for me the male and vocals fit perfectly to together and give a great retro sounding track a bang up to date feel. just thought vocals could have been slightly more clear and crisp, and a few female/male ohhs and ahhhs as a chorus may have added!....but a great track as always FR and what do I know! going to be a fav anyway!
my best wishes as always,
Mark
Hi Mark, sorry for the late reply. I've not logged on for a while so i have plenty of catching up to do. I shall take your suggestions on board and see if i can improve the track.
Thanks as always for stopping by and listening.
FR
I like this track very much. The one thing I think I dislike the most is the male vocal . The thing I liked most about this track were the female vocal towards the end of the first half of the song. They sounded perfect. Overall nice oldschool feel and a great mix.
Thanks. I wasn't sure of that male vocal either but i got p***ed off trying to find something else that fit. Perhaps i'll go back and look at it again for a fresh idea.
Cheers for stopping by and commenting.

FR, this is exactly what I needed to get my azz moving this morning, haha. Got a bunch of leaves to rake up and I needed something more than coffee for inspiration. Really solid work as usual. Not sure why you have 40+ plays and only one review...where in the hell is the love people. Anyway, another great track from one of the Loops most creative people. Well done man. I hope all is well.
Make that 40 plays and two reviews. I wasn't expecting much of a response on this really as it's just a bunch of loops really. My new years resolution is to get some better VST's and start making my own stuff again. Glad you could stop by and i hope all is cool with you as well.
FR
Thanks. I love all the old early 90's rave stuff so i thought i'd have a try at recreating the vibe.
I'm honored that a musician of your talent can find the time to stop by and leave your thoughts. Personally i think it could be a lot better if i invested in some decent synths. One day i'll get round to it.
FR
Hi MrRadical,
Good track! I know that we must credit a lot to the bass loop from MrF... this is soooooo funky.
But we cannot ignore the wonderful job you have done here: everything works very well and the resulting track is really a mixture of the genius of two good musicians.
Very well done!
Ciao, Domenico
PS: I really like the "moving synth" phrases you build (e.g. 4:02)
Any time I hear that MrFunktastic style I`m totally in the groove...The man is a big talent and a most generous friend with sharing the sound....I have to think Joe would like this one FR...its good ...some of those transitions are more like your own style (as it should be) but you def got the funk going on here...you just can`t sit still when this is going on...great job...and a fine tribute to one of our finest friends....Ed
That is cool you gave this a go and tried Joe's funk style mixed with an element of your influences. Some cool changes and breaks. Sound like some retro/disco funk-alicious dance music from the 80's. I would have to say your mission was accomplished, sounds like Free Funktastic music to me!
Thanks, I figured that sample was too good for me to be the only one using it. I'd be interested to hear your take on it.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts.
FR
Wow, man. This IS funky! It's definitely not your style, and it's a good tribute to MrFunktastic. The whole time I listened I wondered if you were going to toss in some full on FreeRadical style. But you didn't. Just elements of your own style. I really liked this one, and the way you did it.
It's good to see that at least someone's already got a track in the game. Hopefully more will, too. This is exactly what that "game" is supposed to be.
Thanks V.
I just took one of MR F's loops and built around it. I would have liked to have put some sort of funky solo over the top of it but alas i don't have any of those funky VST's that joe uses so it is what it is. I might try another one as it's fun to try and make stuff a little different. I just hope a few more people hop on "the game" (and i don't mean turn to prostitution)
Thanks for dropping by, listening and sharing your thoughts.

Alright :D Mr.FunkRadical :p I picture inside saucer all done up with flashing lights and like saturday night fever happening, aliens with their afros, white tight fitting bell botoms studded with diamonds :p
hi FR. bass groove is really cool here - it's something like a combination of a bass guitar and a clavinet. It makes my body moving which is great. Tasteful usage of loops as always!
Best, Alex
Still working your magic i see Radical. Great Track bro i feel the Funk and i love how you mixed it into a break beat so that way people can dance to track so smoothly like there on water great work bro keep it up :) and stay funky :P
It was all down to Mr F's bassline really. I just threw some stuff around it and looped the f**k out of it really.
It was a fun piece to make though so i might do another one.
FR
Well it only took a few hours to make so i don't think i'll be getting any nominations at this years brit awards but Mr F's bassline was just too cool not to mess about with.
Cheers for dropping by and checking it out.
FR
Nice work, I like the change of pace for you that this one brings. I like how you added in some of your dance floor circa 1990's vibe to this as well. great work
cru
Cool one for sure.
I realy start loving it when the funky spaceship starts (2:31)and all gets a trippy feeling of a flight to mars or elsewhere in universe. Maybe Shaft himself is on the way, with some of the cool brown sugar girls.
Thanks, It only took a few hours to throw together so i'm not expecting any prizes but i'm glad you could find the time to drop by and give it a listen.
Cheers!!!!

Yo My Funky Musical Brother, You kick the Funk in the ass here my Bro. Joe will be proud to know that you got the Funk and it's alive and well in you. Keep the Funk Alive.
Thanks. Mr F made the bass loop and all i did was work round it so he set the scene for the track. All credit to Joe for uploading such a great loop.
FR
Hey FreeRadical,
I think that you and Joe should collab! You are quite the funky musician! If you both made a funk track and worked harmoniously, it would be great!
I guess it already is sort of a collab as the bassline was written by Mr F. I just had the job of "painting" round it and it was fun to do.
Cheers for dropping by Rico.

Solid piece of work, nasty bass groove cool mix...
This has the makings of a good song, now find a good voice
with something to say...
And this will be on it's way...I....LIKE IT...
If only i could find a vocal to fit. I used to use the acapellas all the time but these days i can't seem to find anything that fits my style. Even purchased vocals are a bit shite so i guess i'm stuck with another instrumental.
Cheers for dropping by and commenting TG.
