hey whats up! its cure, been busy, lol... took me about 1 hour to do the whole track, a bit of a rush job still have to put it on the eq, also a bit of mind play on the vocal. by the way this track is awsome, so mutch i could do with it, european house and trance is where its at.

hey cure, im gonna stubbornly try to find the track you were talking about, btw thnx for the comment. Dunno much about european house differences, but trance often gives me inspiration to try out something new, probably cause most of the real mainstream trance is wickedly simple assembly line, take care m gonna search.

lol I was reading IGN's review on the new Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (which I defenitly wanna get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and this track totally got me in the right mood cuz it totally reminds me of the kind of music the play in the main menu of NFS games ;)
real nice

love the intro and the main drums :)

I fav'ed this one although I don't really know the connection between this track and my 'Acid Trance'?

this is really sick nice work. wanna collab?
NeonStrawberry
NeonStrawberry replied Unknown
Hey I totally dig all of your lyrics, I'd love to do a collab. There has been much going on in me life lately, so I've been a lot less active online, but i will start shaping something to see where we can orient the work on. Got loads of ideas and theme hooks we can use! can't wait to see if we can shape something. hit me up anytime on me email or on looperman, perhaps you got some ideas too? I say we exchange inspirations a bit to form a tight collab, I'll email you my late ones in a few days, just gotta compile a lot of writing into something workable. The themes have a lot in common what you talk about in your lyrics, so i think we'll make it fine and prime.

Play 2 now...

Nice blend of styles here mate. And I dunno why, but for some odd reason I am reminded of that rival gang in the movie Break-in 2: Electric Boogaloo and that one scene where they have the battle under that bridge. Anyways, moving on- I think ya did a pretty good job at pairing the two together. And for a second I was half-tempted to ask ya what kind of effects ya threw onto the vocals until I saw that you wrote that they were raw in the description (perhaps that question needs to be directed @ Sireone). The grittiness of this also reminds me of the UK underground scene (parts of it atleast). Taggers doing graffiti who turn out to be Freerunners fleein from the cops. Nicely done mate. Lates!

Hi, I'm very glad you commented because this is one of my own favorite tracks and I'm surprised to receive such little feedback. Anyhow, to answer the question about the vocal-It's fully uncut and unedited in it's structure, YET it Is in fact edited with effects in reason 4. The effects are multiple and vary through out the track in their gain/application method, but the base for all of the tiny tweaks, was to FIRST put the scream distortion (overdrive) on it, and THEN add some reverb -i can't recall the patch. This is my common setup, for working with vocals, of course varying in it's installment. It gives that metallic twitch to the vocal and makes it stand out, without totally desecrating the tone of the voice. he-he i hope this makes it clearer. I got fined for doing graffiti once (5000 euros), and that's how that scene ended for me :)-also I never seen the movie but now I got a reason to live another day, gonna look it up. thanks a lot for your comment,
Lev/Neon.

I always find it interesting where our inspiration comes from. Yours is a good example. Here's mine- a long, long time ago I was inspired to make a waltz-ish glitch tune after sitting outside n smoking a cig and hearing something banging around in a nearby dryer.
Getting back to this track, I'm really digging the fluctuating synth action you've got going on here. 'Specially when mixed with that jet take-off SFX. And the percs add a nice touch, me thinks. Though I'll be honest, it'd be nice to hear a bit more on the lower end of things (like some pumping bass action to come in and compliment the bass that's already there). Other than that this is a pretty interesting composition mate.

thnx for the comment D, you're most probably right about the track being on the shallow side, thats how it was intended, as a quite empty route to expand a new theme from, which to be honest didnt get very far yet, except for utilizing a few noises from here. as for inspiration, i'd really like to point out for everyone that it's a myth, of course depending on your beliefs, but I say everyone already has everything of his/her complete package at birth and so inspiration doesn't play any role in creation, sorry if you find it disappointing, its merely my point of view. I prefer a fairly hedonistic approach, but while denying it's existence, i do have moments of inspiration myself, its just that they feel to come from the deeper self, rather than anything in our, -illusion? hehe- philosophy I find great, existentialism can get you far but Im at the point where existentialism is where I end up when i feel empty, mhm, picking up my little sister from school, casual use of drugs when alone, mastering mind over matter techniques is mostly what sets off the drive to create in me, as for a few things, while things like trying to create a model of sustainable, resource based existence on this planet and study of most random subjects within the fields of psychology, science and mysticism provide me with ideas often. Remove this comment if you don't like its size or content, but im always open to speak about such interesting subjects and find discussions upon these, healthy. Another great part of what one might call my inspiration would be life experience, with me it's quite impactful at my relatively young age i guess, experiences which i wont get into on this page. Write me an email or something I'll be really glad to talk about this and curious to know more about what you think your inspiration consists of, if you still think such thing exists. Been traveling lately, gonna check out ye page now, traveling by the way is something i enjoy more than making music. peace out, perhaps we'll clutch in the forums in the near future on some interesting discussion! peace,
Lev.

well my comment well be more about your beat.. dude it is phat. has a dark kinda vibe and very deep feel. i the kicks are placed perfectly.. i loved it man.. fav'd man. the hard bass with high reverd is just awesome made my speakers bounce man and the wired break down in the middle of the song sounds out placed, but still sounds very cool.. and the vocal tracks were sick to. a master pice

Wow, great intro, it sets this song up nicely! This has a really intense mix to it, I love that! Great groovy bass work! Those synth leads are awesome too, kind of rockin! Very good drum work, especially those fills! This is a really good fusion of styles, making for a great electronic track! Excellent work!

to me this sounds massive and heavy, screeching sound but somehow all together it works really well. nice how you do your rhythm, also in your other track, could you upload a few drum loops that you used in this track and ones in caliber also, please? peace,

NeonStrawberry replied Unknown
Caliber drum punchline is not processed yet but uploaded, as for the rest I forgot where I left my drums, they don't sound challenging without the entire piece, and I only started on improving with them. Right now I'm practicing on merging kicks. Thnx for yer comment, glad you appreciate the extent of me doing drums so far, it'll only get better, peace bro

gets me flying, somewhere out there, in the trance atmospheres... nice view truly. sounds a few bpm too fast, but totally rocks the rhythm. the end parts sound a bit choppy. It all still fits the context, unusual style and a fave of mine. Good work!

very well mixed to start off. I like how I can hear everything the whole time. Very cool effects, percussion is great, i'm glad you focused on that. Super trippy track. Does this border Psy-Goa? I vote yes! At 2:50 I really like that kick line that comes in. farrrrr outtt!
NeonStrawberry
NeonStrawberry replied Unknown
ye and great that you can hear it, I started out with a slightly higher bpm, aiming for goa psytrance kinda thing, which also was my inspiration on this one, but then added too many weight. Glad you like it.

I like that atmos feel in this, youre dead on about that, the rhythm really creeps in! its also very different, not standard on 2 n 4 syncopated percussion. The tiny synth details really make this track stand out, great use of altering that X n Y LFO :P
When that distinct kick comes in it really moves the track along, and when that piano like sample with the Amen breaks kicks in it REALLY makes me feel like this track deserves an extension. either that or a part two? lol This is a favorite for me, and it deserves it.

This is a really unique style of trance! I like that main synth arpeggio type thing, it's got a very heavy sound! To be honest there seems to be some competing rhythms in the drum beats. Maybe it's just a delay that's out of time with the tempo or something. Either way, it doesn't ruin the track. It still sounds top notch! Cool stuff!
NeonStrawberry
NeonStrawberry replied Unknown
thnx man, speaking about heavy, I was just about to start on something that i want to make an ongoing heavy wall of bass, but yer comment throws me off a bit now, since I considered this one more into ambient - very interesting stuff to think about. Making music is the best thing on this planet, passion everybody.

Also reading and hearing this back- you are absolutely right about competing drum beats. I guess i should put more effort in custom drum lines, luckily i can fall back on a friend of mine who happens to be the ex drummer of Anouk (a dutch rock band that made it to big stages a while ago, Anouk being lead vocal) I'll try to contact him and see what we can mold together.. i better get to my phone
