Lol thanks. Yeah i love grime too, its so different to any other genre. If you look hard enough you can download a full pack of grime songs, with a few dubstep ones thrown in, they are pretty amazing. Glad you liked the song :) thanks for the review!

I know I've reviewed this before, but this time it's to ask a question...can I remix this? Could you send me a bunch of the samples, some midi, a couple of the drum samples and maybe even tell me which synths you used and send me the presets? Pukka mate. Still an awesome track btw, was one of the tracks I listened to tonnes when I first got into dubstep, (Y). ;).

Chud37 replied Unknown
Lol you can; but...Well I dunno. I've thought about redo-ing thing myself, seeing as it got so much appreciation, I'd quite like to redo it and just make it a bit clearer sound really, the production isnt up to much. As for the presets, you can find them on my website:

http://www.chud37.com/index.php?page=presets

Under the same name. I dont mind sending you the drum beat if you like, send me a message via looperman (under the contact me bit) and then I can reply and email you back.

Im a bit weary though as I cant see much further to go with it. And Im a bit scared if I wont like the results :S Lol, But if you think your up to the challenge go for it!

:D

UPDATE: only thing i would try is maybe makin the first drop a lil softer or makin the second drop a lil bit harder. theres a slight difference already. that 1st drop gets my head movin, but i want that second drop to fry my brain cells!! haha
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
Hehe thank you! I love it too. Im still not sure about the two drops in between though, I might just get rid of them, I couldnt get them to work right, but i needed something to break up the song with...So I might update it with better drops or them taken out all together. What do you think?

Sweet man, I'm loving it. The intro is epic, (Y). What synth did you use to make the bass? It it one with Reason? What happened to using the Cubase me ol' fruit???
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
Theres two thor synths in there and a subtractor being manipulated by a malstrom for the LFO (because as far as I can see Subtractor's LFO doesnt retrigger so I have to map malstroms LFO into it to get it working).

Im still using cubase, But i wanted to learn reason because quite a few of my favorite artists use it and, I knew the synths were good so I gave it a go. I've pretty much got it down now I think, but thers so much about the synths that I havent quite figured out.

Anyway I suddenly realised that i've never used the original synths that came with Cubase5, (prologue etc) And they are actually quite good, So i might be making something with them soon.

Hows it going anyway? Havent heard from you in a while! you fruit!

I'm loving the production on this one, it sounds great! The bass line is super cool. Definitely not the usual dubstep track, you seem to be getting your signature sound tuned in. I really like how the drums are programmed on this one, it sounds kind of difficult. Very cool track man!
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
Heh thanks. Yeah im really pleased with the production on this one. Im looking forward to using reason alot more. And the drums arnt that complicated at all, theres another layer on top of the usual drum sounds which is just like misc crap to fill it up a bit, maybe thats what your hearing.

But thanks mate :)

Damn, cool. I rly wanna throw a 4/4 on that one and sidechain it haha. But awesome bass work dude. I was just thinking LP those synths a bit and do some mellow stuff on top? Like dub sirens as an example. or some organ chords dunno. Makes it trippier :)

Yay first review! I've been checking for your new track ever since you mentioned it and its hard man, grimey and sort of metalic. At first i thought it was an epic build up but then i got it. When the one synth dropped in i thought a massive rotty with a chain saw was behind me. Love that sound. Its like Stenchman and Widdler had dubstep sex, this was born and you're the stepdad.
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
:) thanks mate! i was hoping you'd hear it today. Yeah im really pleased with it. I used the same production as the widdler did in his little demo thing we got. Its quite clever how he does it, Although i dont see the need for two stereo imagers and two maximizers. But anyway it seems to work well. And yeah I love that synth, I made it so quickly too, it just kinda popped into existence. well, they both did. But yeah i see what you mean. The whole song seems like one massive build up. Im not amazingly happy with the two drops, but I cant figure out a better way to get them in there. But either way, Its a goodun. I love reason now :)

Lol thanks mate, I made it in Cubase, but the mastering/production is terrible. Its just a load of distorted bass drums actually, As far as i can remember there arnt any synths in there at all. :P

Cool track it had some sounds made by Oizo mainly,, as this track is more another tribute, listened to flatbeat yesterday, so I know what that this track is way away from flatbeat but yea this is a real oool track, some basslines may be to low frequency as they do pump around a frequency that makes them a bit bad to listen to, but anyway a cool track for listening purposes ;) Peace Dealazer

some grimey dubstep!!!
haha.

nice man.
i LOVE dubstep, as well as make it.
well im getting serious into makin dubstep beats.

so you use cubase 5 for everything?
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
Yeah, I love cubase. Although im trying to get some sounds together from reason, but all in good time. Thanks man, Im glad you liked my song. If you thought this was grimey you should really check out the newest one, 'Coz im Tuff', its alot dirtier.

Good tribute, Oizo is one of the best out there without a doubt. Big chunky bass comes as standard and i like the melody and synth work. Love it when it kicks in around 3.20, sounds PHAT. Personally im not a fan of the vocal sample but thats jmust my tastes. Good work man!!
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
Aaah, thats cool. I appreciatte your honesty mate. Thanks for the review. And the sample is more of a joke in my friends so. But yes i much prefere the second half, it really picks up. Im quite addicted to it actually lol.

i like the bass so much, and of course i like that dark atmospheric vibe that im feeling to it, and the drum pattern is sick, as a matter fact i think i downloading a drum pattern from you. i cant make the drum beat for some odd reason. but good track my man :)

That bass patch is really cool!!! The drums on this track are a bit quiet for my tastes, which is to bad cuz they sound cool. Nice groove man!
Chud37
Chud37 replied Unknown
yeah i get what your saying. Im gonna sort that out cuz they are some of the nicest drums i've made for a while. Also i wanna put some quiet melody in there somewhere, just to give it a bit more edge. Thanks for the review tho! I'll get it sorted out.

Wicked bass coupled with wicked breaks. I dig the way you've used vocals in those breaks, too - it creates a call and response thing that really works here. What happens around and after 2:00 keeps it from being repetitive, imo - but theres a lot to be said for repetition, too! Nice one.
