This has got to be the most mental dubstep track I've heard. Some interesting synths, really raw and powerful. Perhaps towards the middle it got a little repetetive, but near the end where everything starts getting really hectic, that was really enjoyable.
...you naughty boy...
this is straight dirt. love love love it! the background music in the sample you might have been worried about simply added to the build up to this stink stank beat. this hits so hard in all the right places...slidin right off my chair over here...
mega kudos!
thanks mate! yeah i like this one too, it confused me that more people hadnt reviewed it, but its lovely, the sample works really well i think. Im struggling to find decent samples these days so that was a good find :)
i'd like your permission to play 'Gorilla' on my radio show i'm setting up as long as your unsigned (no record deal) and the track is yours. Get in touch 'cos I loooooove the track and need it on the show,
I am setting up an online radio station we will do our first live broadcast on January 4th, busy times.
If you are an unsigned artist (with no record deal) then I would like your permission to play 'Grimeshot' on any of our shows,
If you have got a deal then sorry for wasting your time,
Nice track bro this is one of the better dubstep tracks i've heard in awhile very cool work with the lead on this one
keep up the good work!
dante
Def downloading this one!
Yes mate, this is pretty sick for a second track. Liking the wonky, kind of spinny sound? Also, Reason is the the dog's mate, I use it as well and absolutely love it - banging out 3 tracks a day!
nice work mate ! nice bassline :) have u got a sound cloud or myspace ? http://soundcloud.com/makten check out a couple of my tunes , would like to no wat u think ? peace
Love it. Not much more to say. Been trying to get a hard synth sound out of Massive, so far without much luck. This track makes me want to try much harder.
thank you, yeah there is a kinda melody in there after the first sample, but i didnt use it again, and its not very loud. Idunno im not the best at making melody's and harmonies so i stick to what im good at :) Thanks for the review!
oooy this is a fun track! I really like the bass line, it grooves really well! This has a bit of a disco feel to it, very fun stuff! That quiet portamento synth sounds very cool, and a bit hip hop. Nice one!
heh cheers! yeah tis a good track, i really like it towards the end when all the bits just come together. And your right, it is a bit hip hoppy! You might have an idea there .... :D
I love it, (Y). The samples are awesome, :). What synth do you use again? I think I asked before, but I forgot, aha.
I didn't actually realize you had a new track until someone on a forum thread I started posted a link to this saying it was a banger, props man, (Y)
cheers mate. and that was albino. It was with a preset called Monster, which is on me website so you can use it if you like. To get the two different sounds you just need to switch the filter fader twixt filter 1 and filter 2. Good fun.
But yeah you should keep up man! i posted that song ages ago. I actually dont like it that much, tis quite samey. But that synth is good fun to muck about with, I just havent been able to come up with anything decent since.
Go look through my song list! you might av missed one :~P ehehe
Lol thanks. Yeah i love grime too, its so different to any other genre. If you look hard enough you can download a full pack of grime songs, with a few dubstep ones thrown in, they are pretty amazing. Glad you liked the song :) thanks for the review!
I know I've reviewed this before, but this time it's to ask a question...can I remix this? Could you send me a bunch of the samples, some midi, a couple of the drum samples and maybe even tell me which synths you used and send me the presets? Pukka mate. Still an awesome track btw, was one of the tracks I listened to tonnes when I first got into dubstep, (Y). ;).
Lol you can; but...Well I dunno. I've thought about redo-ing thing myself, seeing as it got so much appreciation, I'd quite like to redo it and just make it a bit clearer sound really, the production isnt up to much. As for the presets, you can find them on my website:
Under the same name. I dont mind sending you the drum beat if you like, send me a message via looperman (under the contact me bit) and then I can reply and email you back.
Im a bit weary though as I cant see much further to go with it. And Im a bit scared if I wont like the results :S Lol, But if you think your up to the challenge go for it!

You keep that dubstep bass holler interesting too, not too repetitive, and quite controlled.
thanks for the review!
