Nice to bump into a fellow guitarist here.
The middle section reminds me of Santana. you have a nice guitar tone on this one with tasty leads.

thanks for listening and reviewing. I was tweaking the tone of the lead guitar part as I played it, I think I got it right towards the end

I really enjoyed listening to this track; thanks for posting it. I enjoy the bright sound you coax out of your guitars. I have a friend with a Koa wood guitar that produces a similar sound, and I love nothing more than sitting back, listening to him jam, and occasionally trying to fit something in on the keys or bass. What sort of guitars are you recording with?
DanielGtrman
DanielGtrman replied Unknown
Thanks for listening to this track and giving it a review. The guitar I use the most is a Vantage electro-acoustic but also a Wesley Bowlback which is an Ovation copy.

I can't play any instrument worth a flying fig, so it always impresses me when someone can create something out of practically thin air. Great work, I enjoyed it, and downloaded to my growing collection of Looperman artists.

on Dis be da Chillin by DanielGtrman
Hi Daniel,

Strange, this is a nice tune with lots of plays, but no reviews. Oh well, I'll be the first.
This tune has a nice flow to it and the guitars ring out nicely.

The addition of the strings fill out the song very well, and the phasing effect gives it a nice pleasant sweeping sound.
The bass guitar would be nice(r) if it stood out more. But then, it's a little hard to tell on these tiny computer speakers here at work.

Well, I like the tune and I think you did a great job of piecing it all together. You have lots of natural talent!

Thanks Randy for reviewing this one. Sorry I did not get back sooner with a reply. I got some new serious speakers and the base can be heard better on them, having said that, the EQ on the base here could be a bit more "basier". thanks again

on GO FOR IT !! by DanielGtrman
Hello Daniel,

Wanted to stop by and see what you had up as you also just checked out a tune of mine.

Overall, the sound is nice and the guitar playing is very good.
As for the drums, they come out the right speakers on my system.

I usually get my drums from www.betamonkeymusic.com
These are live recorded drums and they come in either 16 or 24 bit files. I always choose 24 bit as the quality is higher. They have samples for free as well and various types of music.

Of course when you use them at 24 bit, you have to final mixdown to 16 bit. It is the suggested way to go for quality.
I have several big drum programs in my software as well, but since I am not a drummer either, I am not always sure what goes where.

Anyways, I liked this tune a lot.

Thanks for listening and reviewing Randy. Drums are not my thing and I was convinced you had a session drummer in for your "made in Japan". Thanks for the good advice about www.betamonkeymusic.com I shall be giving this site a look.

i loved the guitar but the drums felt out of sync and only on the left side very distracting to listen to.
DanielGtrman
DanielGtrman replied Unknown
That's a good point about the drums. I just got a new laptop so hopefully my stereo image and other glitches will be sorted out. Thing is..I'm no drummer. I ought to get somebody to lay down some proper drum tracks. Thanks for listening and reviewing.

sorry folks this is blues, yes it feels chill out but this is blues, nice guitar work, Eric Clapton style, nice progression of the melody line, nice chill out moment listening to blues, I hate all the tags!
DanielGtrman
DanielGtrman replied Unknown
Blues it is ! I chose chill out because of the slower chord progression, didn't think it would quite make it into blues. Either that or fusion but the sad feel pushes into blues. Thanks for taking the time to listen and review. appreciated

I prefer Daniel although I get called other things some of which are not repeatable here ! thanks again for taking the time to give this a listen and review

Thanks for listening and reviewing on this one. the rhythm track is "dry" but the lead has a slight delay which I thought added to the sad blues feel of the track. I'll be looking out for more of your stuff. thanks again.
