on Still Waters by DanielGtrman
well i think this song really sets the tone for a happy ending in a movie...or a the part where a lot of self realization happens..like i should'be but i didn't type of thing. personally i don't think you should change it. I would label it cinematic...but what the hell do i know... how do you get that awesome stereo seperation with your guitar. it almost sounds like you got two tracks and one pokes out here and there on the other channel. it's like chorus but more subtle and unique... any way great job.

thanks for listening and reviewing. the effect on the guitar is a delay called "ping-pong" and switches left to right. I shut the time down very small otherwise it continues pinging (or ponging !) into the next notes so you end up with harmonic clashes. the effect I used was a VST plug in but there are better ones out there. thanks again...

on Still Waters by DanielGtrman
man im all over this track, its real real nice. soothing like crazy, but even soothing tracks need to find a way to change up and stay interesting, so that being said this is missing that pusher, that keeps me listening to the very end. i couldnt help you with what tho. this is a tricky track.

cheers

thanks for listening and reviewing. You have a good point about missing the pusher.. I thought about adding a little piano towards the last 3rd of the track. that might just be what it needs. thanks again.

on Dry Blues Jam by DanielGtrman
Great Work! im licking this, it reminds me of that blind spot inbetween Folk and blues, the spot where you get the best of both worlds.

DanielGtrman replied Unknown

That Hit the SPOT!
Such a relaxing little number, for me it takes me from a little bistro sipping wine...to an evening of slow dancing....then waking up the next morning happy to have captured a moment of contentment and happiness in youth... excellent song! i especially like the way you introduced the second guitar....another great song.

there are some really crafty arrangements of a very complex structure and it just flow smoothly, great job, how many layers of guitars did you play?
DanielGtrman
DanielGtrman replied Unknown
Thanks for listening and reviewing this track. appreciated. I put the first track down "dry" using electric solid body for the main chord progression and then added a lead part using same guitar but with a tempo matched delay (as near as I could get it) so it's only the 2 guitars

I love how smooth your music sounds w/ the perfect amount of everything

All of your tracks are soo relaxing

I would love to one day collab and add a nice pad in the background

I wouldnt want to ruin your amazing ability to relax listeners w/ a drum track, no no no. I just think if you put a pad somewhere in there you will be even more off the charts with your music

Well done

I love the guitar harmonics on the acoustic
very clean

:-)

Thanks for listening and reviewing Bri. Collab sounds a great idea and I can "hear" what you mean about adding a the right sort of pad. Actually I wouldn't mind attempting a collab with drum track with the right song.

on 2 Guitar Folky Shuffle by DanielGtrman
Sounds much like John Renbourn and Stefan Grossman. Very nice. Good sound on the piezo pickup, although blending it with another transducer or mic would soften it without losing the definition. Really good work.
DanielGtrman
DanielGtrman replied Unknown
Thanks for listening and reviewing this track. That's good advice about blending with another transducer to soften but keep definition. Will do. cheers....

on T.R.A.N.S.I.T.I.O.N. by DanielGtrman
Hey man, been meaning to get back at yah, and a lot of others (busy work, and recording)

I really really like the dissonance. A LOT. I am really big on that.
(so much so.. that this is a favorite)
This is totally personal taste, but instead of the synth, i woulda preferred a Rhodes.... But REGARDLESS.

I feel the transition, and I am all for it.
Great stuff!

Someday in the distant future, we will collaborate hopefully lol.....
DanielGtrman
DanielGtrman replied Unknown
Great !! Collab is ON...when time allows...thanks for reviewing and listening. I agree, rhodes would have added a tonal edge...

Hello Daniel,

Thanks for your reply about my Telecasters. Both the Buck Owens Limited guitars I got off E-bay from Canada. The exchange rate made it cheaper for me. Both are like brand new and are for investment purposes.

As for Flicker, I don't go there often to upload anything eklse.
However, you should go to this site below and join up for free and be heard by up to 1.5 million visitors a month just in the music section alone.
The web site you may have heard about is:
www.talenttrove.com. I have all my tunes and pictures there.

My address there is: http://www.talenttrove.com/mystage/view/3222
There I have pics of all my 9 guitars, Pedal Steel and Banjo, etc.
Since I have joined last Oct., I now have over 51,000 plays on my 18 tunes now. You don't get a lot of feedback tho...but that is ok as I can't imagine answering all those letters!
Many of the artist on here, are on there now too.

As for this song here, it is really nice and pleasant to listen to. the "D" chord is my favorite chord. Whehn you play the bass guitar and hit a "D", it just seems to have the ring to it.

Very nicely done and a nice clear sound.

Thanks for sharing it.
Randy
