Thanks for reviewing my track. I appreciate your comments. In this tune, I made partly from loops, added in some synth sounds.
I also have a CD of Nylon guitar loops.
mate, i dono but i think your an absolute genius when mixing and arranging loops with your own touch as well! you are a master at it! it just goes to show how musically 'tight' you are, this is just awesome!
love it, Spanish music has a great feel to it! a delicious flavor of it's own.
Thanks for the nice review man. Not sure I am a genius, but I suppose Einstein didn't have a label on his shirt that said that either. lol
I appreciate the nice comments and am glad you liked the tune.
Latin/Spanish/Mexican music all sound simular to me, but I am sure there are dfferences. Just I don't listen to that much of it, but I wanted to try something different than Rock.
Hey thanks for stopping by and giving my tune a listen....and thanks for suggesting others listen to it as well.
This is a tune I always thought I'd like to make, but never got around to it before. Being on vacation all week helps.
It was fun putting it together and adding in synth parts.
I am glad you liked it. I feel it is a little short...about 2 min. but I couldn't think of anything else to put into it.
Hello IDude,
Don't believe I have ever checked out your tunes before, but I will shortly.
Thanks for your comments and am glad you enjoyed the tune. I'll make more. :-)
Randy
man, this riff is awesome ...
love the way you chopped it up along with the double bassdrum figure ... great arrangement!!!
a little short, but on the point ... a real banger!

Hello there Alkie,
Glad you stopped by and am glad you weren't disappointed. :-)
I will review one of your tunes tomorrow in kind.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

great tune mate, very enjoyable
Hello again Butcha,
Hey, am glad you got to check this tune out as well. Not that I need anymore reviews really.
I posted this link with the other one as somedays on Looperman, you post a song and with so many others uploading theirs too, your tune disappears in several back pages in a matter of hours!
The only way then is usually to catch it by watching the Featured section.
So this tune was a fun one to make as well as 'Rock With Me'. These are the tunes I always wanted to play live, but our band at the time was more into country-rock.
Still will check out your tunes...tomorrow for sure, and give you feedback. Thanks again Butcha!!
Randy
Hi there Butcher,
Glad to have you stop by again and listen to my latest. Putting loops together takes a lot of time to make them seamless....So I appreciate your comments about arranging, Etc. :-)
I'll check out your latest tunes shortly.

Wow.. In one way.. I am like hell yah! LOVING THIS.

I really like the cajun part. I guess I do think of fairs and county music, but I think about my first love.... She loved this kind of music.
Hi Abe,
Nice to have you back. I appreciate you giving me a review back on this country/cajun mix. This is the real deal! Doesn't get much better as far as original sounds, but I can agree with you on the minor stuff.
Smoother changes from one part to another, harmonica breathing. (Totally all loops for this part) That whooooo type sound is a guy yelling something like Aaaaahhhhhiiiieeee. Typical cajun yell. :-)
Thanks for the review and again nice to hear from you.
It you wanna a rock tune to play along with, check out 'Rock my World' when you get a chance.
I left the lead guitar volume lower in the first part for that purpose.
Randy
Welcome to Looperman and thank you for reviewing my Christmas tune. I appreciate your kind comments and will gladly review one of your tunes when you upload one.
Just remind me when you do. :-)
Thanks again,
Randy
This is absolutely brilliant....I am a closet country fan.."NO" Really I am...have been all my life, and this rocks man!! Love the harp playing...waz that you?? Great track, and like Bilb said, not enough country on here at looper!! Brilliant!
Oh and that Cajun bit...."Love it" Reminded me of that movie...what is it again..the one where the national guard are stuck in the swamp land...?? Shit!! Cant remember..but anyway..yeah, great song man...and the cajun bit blew me away!!!
Hello there djsalkizar,
Hey man, thanks for checking out my country/Cajun mix. I enjoyed doing that one a lot and put about 12 different instruments in it including triangle and washboard on the first Cajun one.
The harmonica part in the Cajun part was made by the fellow in Louisiana as he did that part.
The harmonmica parts I assembled from many loops from a new disk I bought, so they'd fit all together nicely.
Tried to make a sort of chicken clucking sound in one part..haha
Not sure of the song your talking about either.
Cajun music is just so cool I had to add it onto my tune.
Thanks for your review and am glad you enjoyed it. The 1st. country song I made is also listed, but that was the fisrt song I ever made with software and my playing together. I did it while I was learning Pro Tools.
Randy
Hello majucarma,
Received 3 e-mails from you regarding this tune saying about the same thing. :)
Thanks for reviewing this tune and am happy that you liked it.
I made it 'quieter' in the first half so you could download it and play along if you wanted to.
I'll checkout one for your tunes now and give you a review.
Thanks for listening and the review....I appreciate it very much.
Randy
Hello there Acrylic!
Thanks a lot for stopping by and giving a listen to my first country tune which was pretty short.
I had a lot of enjoyment doing that tune while I was learning my Pro Tools software. I am glad you liked it as well, even tho it may not be your cup of tea.
The last country tune I made has much more of the same, but more instruments, plus Cajun music you may or may not enjoy listening to.
I'll take a listen to one of your tunes while I am on line and give you a review back as well.
Thanks again,
Randy
Hi Daniel,
I appreciate you dropping by as well and listening to my work. I don't try and copy anyone, but there are thousands of tunes out there and you almost can't make an original today without sounding like part of someone elses song.
I am glad you got to play along with it as that is why the lower lead volume level in the 1 st half, as I mentioned in the title area.
I'll try and make more, but I need a rest! lol
Thanks again..I will review one of your tunes in return.
Randy
Randy, this one cries for vocals!!!
I wouldn't compare it with the Black Crowes, it's too straight and too less bluesy, but The Cult springs into my mind ...
awesome work buddy ...
Nice to wake up in the morning and get another nice review from you and others,
Thanks for stopping by, it is much appreciated.
If you'd like to put some vocals with it, your certainly welcome....or anyone else here for that matter.
I was trying to capture what was in my head for the uultimate rock tune. I think I got it. Maybe a little Hammond B3 organ sound, which I have access to, would have rounded it out?
Rockin' juggernaut!.....I dig this one Randy!..Nothing beats the equation of...Heavy rockin' riffs, powerhouse skin playing, screeching lead work, solid bottom end boogieing, forked beards..and heaps and heaps of volume!...man you are one versatile critter!..a lot of players stick to one or two styles..all the different genres you have played display a great degree of control and insight into their inner workings, and an understanding of probably a more difficult aspect..their subtle influence from the music they grew out of...exceptional work!...have a great Christmas mate and I look forward to hearing more great work from you in 2009..cheers Dave :)
Hi there Dave,
Now...what did you say? lol
Thanks for the great review in describing my tune.
I appreciate all you said and can only say, I play 6 different instruments and thus I love music, and thus again, I will play different genre of Country, Blues and Rock type of music.
I suppose it is my old age and long experience that has helped me cross bridges from one style to another. I put myself into the soul of that type of music I am playing at the time and go for it, thinking like a Blues player or whatever.
I am playing what I want to hear in my heart and soul...Solid drums, solid bass, quiet or loud guitar. I feel this stuff inside and know when I have it and can release for others to enjoy.
That's how I do it.
Plus having quality equipment helps too.
Thanks Dave and have a Merry Christmas there.
Hey great lead work on this one. I can feel the soul. That makes it a success, not the number of notes. Id like to try out a rig like yours, Im lovin the tone and expression you have there. Nice jingle youve made.
Hello there AudioFiend,
Thanks a lot for your review. I will check out one of your tunes today for sure.
I like this tune a lot plus the last one I just put up, Rock My World. To me, that is what rock should sound like.
Your right, you don't need blazing notes to make a tune. Just the right placement I think counts and expression as you say.
I've always wondered if a person using FL's could make a tune like this? Not sure what you use, but I'd say any top end software package should be able to create a sound like this tune.
Just playing the rhythm twice into 2 separate channels makes a big difference...one panned hard left, and one panned hard right.
Plus effects, compression, etc.
Thanks again for the review, I appreciate it very much,
Randy
Damn right its a rocker! I know its rock n roll man, but I think the levels are a bit high. The backing track drowns your lead work. Other than that, the track is a sizzler. Nicely done and I love your chops! A+
Don't believe I have seen you review one of my tunes before...so thanks a lot. I appreciate it very much. I will return the favor shortly.
The lead volume levels in much of the song are lower on purpose as I mentioned in the heading/title...I wanted others to play along with it and have fun with it too.
My main leads come in during the middle part and at the 2:20 part mostly.
So I am glad you liked it and I can tell you, I enjoyed making it very much.
I think I have gotten this 'Pro Tools' software down enough so I can do what I want and get the sounds I want.
This tune was 'Mastered' as well so it is up to Red Book code.
Nice playing my friend! I really can't find anything to pick at with a track like this, and it's not even my usual listening pref. Puts me in mind of Black Crowes just a bit, which is cool, used to be one of my favs back in the day. Good work.
i was told to check out ur music and im so glad i did...this is brilliant! its got such an epic beautiful sound...i love the guitar...i checked out ur other tracks too and they are just as cool...keep making music plz!
Hello there mandarosa,
Hey...thanks for stopping by and checking out some of my tunes. With so many members on here, it is really hard to go thru them all.
I appreciate your comments very much and will check out one of your tunes right after I write this and give a review on it.
I've always liked the Bo Diddley type of beat, so I made one similar, but faster and added in various guitar parts that I liked. Thus the big variety of sounds and some effects like phasing.
The intro doesn't sound like it should be with this tune, but I liked it and put it in anyways. Was done with lots of delay and reverb.
So anyways, thanks again for giving me a review.
Randy
whoowhoo!!!!
Randy, you sound like you were not older than 20!!!
this is incredible, absolutely perfect, makes me want to grab the git and jump in ... this track freakin rocks ...
you're like red wine!!
Hello Rei,
Haven't heard from you in awhile. Am glad you came by and listened to another tune I arranged. These are the type of tunes I like, the sound, the chords, everything actually. Makes me feel good inside when I am done....I guess like the red wine your speaking of?
I had fun putting this together and hearing all the reviews thus far, just makes it all the more worthwhile to me in the end. So I am happy that it makes you also want to grab your guitar and jump in and play along. Means I have done my part.
I check out a ton of loops before I decide on which ones have the potential to fit together for an idea I have in my head, if I am not making a tune of my own from scratch.
Of course on all of mine, I use a drum set from Betamonkeymusic.com. This isn't a plug for them, but all their drums are recorded live and sound so real.
I never did get around to buying a drum machine like others have once I got those.
I have another tune simular to this I am working on and it will have more a rhythm section in it so people can play along easier and add in their own lead. I know poeople like to do that including myself, so we'll see what happens.
But that won't be for a couple weeks...or before the end of this year. I am not the type that can do a song overnight! I take my time and try to do it right so I can be proud of showing it off to the world. Afterall, my name is on it!
Thanks again Rei,
Randy
Nice of you to stop by and give my latest tune a listen to. I appreciate your comments and like it that you and some others can't find anything meaningfully wrong with the tune.
I am not perfect and make numerous mistakes making songs. But with software, that is its beauty, you can edit them out, or do re-takes.
Most songs I ever hear on the radio seem to be flawless. That is what I shoot for, and I believe all it takes is a frame of mind and an ongoing developing skill. I learn more with each song I do.
If my tunes inspire others to do as well or better than a 64+ year old guy, than that's a plus.
Thanks again,
Randy
Hey Randy this is Excellent!...in fact the only thing slightly wrong with it...is that the playing's just a little too tight for punk!...and there's too many chord progressions!...haha the Pistol's couldn't keep up..but Johnny R's vocals over this would be very interesting......it's great to see the diversity in your music Randy....you rock!..I'd really like to see the faces on a young drunk crowd after they discovered the music they've been rockin' to was created by a guy old enough to be their father(and then some!)...Brilliant work...cheers Dave :)
Hi Dave.
My favorite bass player on here! Glad you liked it and I appreciate your comments. I know your a discriminating player that can tell good from bad. :-)
I basically like Country, Blues and Rock. I consider Punk a slight diversion from rock and thus as long as it isn't screaming unitelligible vocals, I'll play it.
My step daughter is 15 and she can't believe a nearly 65 year old man can still rock with the rest.
Just look at the 'Rolling Stones', they look really old, but man do they still put on a show!!
I am trying to get one of my older dsughters that DJ's at a 'Goth' type bar on weekends, to play some of my rock songs, she is still a little afraid to as they might not like that type.
Thanks Dave for you review...always like hearing from you. Will review another of your songs and the others who left reviews here, as that is the fair way to do things.
