Classic, and classy, awesome playing. I too would count my self in as one who would love to see you playing this live. Thick and juicy sound. Loved every second of that.
Hi Jeff,
Hey, I appreciate you checking out some more of my tunes. Voodoo Swamp Blues has been out for quite awhile. I entered it into the John Lennon song contest, but didn't win.
Slide guitar is fun and takes time to learn it.
Anyways, glad you liked it....I'll do another sometime soon.
great to hear the blues, I love the blues and try to do it justice when I try my hand at it using only loops, this is the real thing, great guitar work and arragements sound very clean. Please as a real blues man check out my blues on my profile (easy to find there is always blues in the title I have 4) and tell me if I did an ok job trying to recreate a sound I love.
Thanks a lot for checking out one of my blues tunes. I do somewhat of a variety of music as you may have seen in my profile.
I appreciate your comments very much and will certainly check out your tunes as well. I am at work now, so can't easily. I will later today.
I use a combo of my various guitars including a Dobro I bought last year. Since I also play pedal steel, Dobro slide is easy and natural for me.
Sometimes I use harmonia loops too.
So later then and thanks again for dropping by.
Randy
Far-out!...Hell man this music speaks to me on so many levels...not only is the 'Western' one of my favourite movie genre's but I love that Spanish march electric guitar style..it's the foundation and influence to so much music that I grew up with and still listen to today.....a great sounding production that's too good for a Spaghetti Western...we're talking 'One Eyed Jack's' and "The Law and Jack Weight" here...super work Randy..cheers Dave :)
Happy to see you check out my western tune. I don't do many of these types, but I enjoyed making this one. Not really complicated, but effective I think. I had to close it out with 'gunshots' as I felt there had to be an ending. Who dies? I don't know, but could be both guys. Whichever way you want it to come out in your own mind. haha
Thanks for the nice review, I'll check out some more of your tunes as well.
Randy
Hi Dvibe,
Thanks alot for reviewing my western tune.
It was a fun one to put together. I figured the gunshots at the end would put a nice finishing touch to it.
I used my Keyboard to make them.
I will check out another one of your tunes here.
Thanks again.
Randy
From one Telecaster player to another - you really make them sing! I like the production work. Hopefully I can get used to the software I'm working with and get them as polished as your tracks. I'm from the old school and worked with analog equipment and 1/4" tape machines many moons ago. (I took a sound engineering course at Fredonia State college in the late 70's)
Howard
Thanks for your kind comments about this rock song.
I didn't use my Tele on this tune. I have other guitars here as you may have seen in my profile gallery.
I play 6 different instruments including 5-string Banjo and Pedal Steel.
I do a mix of loops and my own playing in my tunes as I don't have any drums as I mentioned when I reviewed one of your tunes.
Long ago, back in 1980, I did analog mixing as well for a several bands and I owned my own PA system. This was after I stopped playing in a band myself.
Getting into digtal just happened about in Nov. 2007.
So it's an ongoing learning process and fun to do. My Pro Tools manual was 960 pages for ver. 7.4. But version 8.0 has come out and I am sure the new manual would top 1,000 pages.
They didn't offer hard copy manual this year. It is all in a .PDF file these days.
I know about where Fredonia as that's where the Buffalo Bills practice..near there. I live in Lockport...about 15 miles from Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
So good luck with your software, and it's not just the software that will make it for you...it is you yourself that will make the sound come to 'life'. The engineer is the man!
Thanks again for the review, I appreciate it.
Randy
Top job Randy!!! Great atmophere created, and man the sounds are superb. The mix, arrangement & production are of the highest standard, the scene is set perfectly... Draw! lol...
Hey....thanks for stopping by and taking a listen to the western shootout. :-)
It was a fairly easy song to make overall.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I'll 'shoot' over to your profile now and see what's new there as it's been a while that I've heard one of your great tunes!
Thanks for the nice comment on my western tune. It wasn't a hard one to make as it had rather slow leads, etc.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I will take a listen to your songs and give you a review back.
Randy
Man I'm really feeling good now!! Heart a pumping!! THis was a great tune def ZZ Top (My Favorite) without the leggs!!!lol Luved the break at 1:30 and that Guitar of yours at 2:25 was SMOKIN!! You take care of that baby for me!! I enjoyed all your songs today!! I will be back!! Excellent work!!
I believe this is the last tune you reviewed today. Probably wore you out with all that rock!
I am working on more of a Techno one now. We'll see how that turns out. It'll be somewhat half keyboard based. I just bought new Korg M3 so that is fun to play with.
Take care friend and thanks again for your comments. I'll try and do better.
Randy
Man you had that guitar speaking speaking japanese!! Great tune> I liked at 1:20 the break and guitar and the Pick up at 2:13 and what a great ending!! Luv it man Luv it!! On to another one!!!
I'm over hear I ran out of bullets!! LOL Man this is one ass kickin western going on here!! Excellent from start to Finish!! The bells put this one over the top!!!
Nice to hear from you. Thanks a lot for reviewing my 3 tunes. I will reply in each of them.
I am glad you enjoyed this western type tune I did. It was a fun one to do. Not too complicated as far as the guitar parts.
Yeah, them darn church bells really set the mood don't they. You hear one western movie with them in it....and they are in everyone after that. What an 'icon' eh.
Thanks again for your nice words. I will get to review 3 of your tunes over the the next couple days.
I'm trying to pick up a slide again and learn how to use the damn thing! Apparently just buying more of them doesn't work. This is great playing, I love the amazing quality you have hear, and how clean your playing is. There is something that I find funny about the second part. I don't know what it is buy I like it.
Sweet job
Looks like your making the rounds of my tunes. Great...I am sure most of them will be quite different than you have heard before as I try not to copy anyone.
I am glad you enjoyed the Blues 101 tune. That was the 1st blues tune I made. The second and third ones are a lot different yet.
Not sure what your hearing in the second part of 101. It is in a 'C' tuning as whereas the first part was in "E" tuning.
I used my Strat on that one with a combo of slide, picking and overdubbing to fill it out more.
I'd love to give you more reviews of your songs, but you only have 1 up and I reviewed that one already. When are you gonna make more?? I like your music really.
Well I Listened to Western Showdown first, I thought that was cool, but I didn't expect this at all. Really cool, I like that super saturated tone! Rock on man, I'll really take those tone comments seriously after that!
Your welcome to download this tune if you want to. Most of my rock tunes will probably 'get your attention' if I may say so myself.
A lot of TLC went into making each one to get the best quality sound out. Many layers of guitars and stuff give it the bigger sound.
Recording the rhythm guitar in one channel panned hard left, and then played again in the other channel panned hard right is a start.
Some poeple use Line 6 equip. or Guitar rig to get a nice guitar fuzz or saturated sound.
I use 'Amplitude' and 'Eleven' (an amp simulator) I got with 'Pro Tools' to get the sounds I desire.
Thanks for reviewing this tune and the Rock-Jap one. I appreciate your comments. I understand that the fuzz sound in the song I reviewed of yours was your just getting use to things.
Certainly no harm in experimenting at all and then uploading a song to get another perspective from members here.
That's how we all get others opinions and learn from them to improve our music.
Glad you liked this tune as well. It was fun to make. Not a complicated song at all if you listen to it. Rhythmn guitar, some simple lead, drums, a synth bell sound, and synth generated gunshots. :-)
hahah that was great!
the country western feel was spot on! this needs to be in one of those western movies! very cool! the gun shots at the end were sweet, a good added touch, it perfectly ends the story!
I agree as to where this belongs...in a movie, but it is pretty simular to ones already out there years ago.
The gun shots...I felt I had to add them in to end the song.
Glad you liked it and I appreciate your comments.
Randy
Hi Randy, I really enjoyed listening to this track, I like this style of Western music, reminds me of watching old cowboy films on TV with my Dad. Very nostalgic, thanks for sharing.
Man you guys are fast! I no more than get it uploaded and already 5-6 reviews! I am glad you liked the tune. I wasn't sure how it would go over as it's so different from the regular music on here.
Anyways, thanks for you nice comments. Much appreciated.
Randy
Thanks for your kind review. I do Country, Blues and Rock as I like all 3 genre. Probably would be better if I stuck to one, but I grew up in the 60-70's era and I like all that music.
Anyways, thanks for your review of my latest rock venture. I enjoy these type of tunes that you don't hear anywhere else. Hard not to copy someone else.
So I appreciate all your kind words and taking the time to review mine. Now....I shall go directly to your page and see what you have since today is review day. Yours will be the 15th review today. :-)
Randy,
I just adore this style of rock.
As a career bass player, I can tell you that some of the very best moments in my life were on stage driving a band performing this style. Like the King said, "Rock-n-roll music, if you like it, you just can't help but move to it. That's what happens to me."

I thank you for reviewing this tune and I appreciate your comments very much.
I guess I am just going thru a rock phase now.
I love bass and drums as if they sound good, they can make the song.
If you'd like to hear my 'Guitar Heros' song remixed with vocals recently, please go to Warrior777 on here and play the only track available.
The gal is from Washington State and does a decent job...sounding some like Grace Slick.
The vocals were too loud the first time thru and then everything got panned to the left, so I think she got it straightened out pretty well. She does a nice job with it.
Your welcome to try and put vocals to my tunes as well.
Since a good share of my tunes in this genre are loop based, (As noted in different songs I do) I can't easily change anything from here.
I just put them togetrher like a puzzle.
Thanks again for listening...I will review some more of your material and give feedback......right now I am running behind. :)
Thanks for reviewing this tune as well. I appreciate your comments. Unfortunately, you only have 1 song loaded up so I can't review any others...so please make more.
Sorry I am a little slow in replying to your review. After I write this I will check out some of your tunes and give a review.
I appreciate your review, and yes....there are a lot of good musicians on here. Some are even teachers of music. Many have played in their own band for years as I used to. And so you will find quite a variety of musicianship here.
dam dog this is sick the riffs by the guitar and the bang of the drums just keeps goin hard like someone just threw a guitar at your face a definate fav for me
Haven't seen you review one of my tunes before, so I welcome you to my corner of the world. I see by your profile that you are a long ways from me in NY.
