Want more punk into it?...I can probably deliver, but what I won't play/record is very loud trash type metal. That is not my style.
To my ears it is just loud screaming so you can't hear the vocals, and its no fun for me to listen to.
But I can and will make some more 'tame' punk rock tunes shortly. :-)
Glad you liked it and thanks again,

Hey Boson,
Thanks for checking out my lastest tune. Glad you enjoyed it. I have a lot of fun with loops. Like putting a puzzle together.
I'll check out some of your tunes tomorrow and give a review back.
Thanks again,
Randy
This is true blues, man. My feet are practically sticking to the dirty bar room floor in some blues bar in the French Quarter after listening to this track. You should be proud of your effort. Excellent!
This is the first I have heard of you and so thanks for reviewing my tune. Actually since there are almost 115,000 members and over 11,000 tracks from day 1, no wonder.
Just impossible to listen to everyones songs and so you pick and choose the genre you like to listen to.
I am glad you liked it. I had fun making it.
I enjoy making music in the 3 genre that I like the most.
Country, Blues and Rock. So most all my tunes will be one of those types.
I will listen to one of your songs and comment on it soon as I am at work now.
Hi there Acrylic,
Thanks for the review!
Actually, no I just was learning my Pro Tools software, and wanted to try a loop based tune and put it together to see how it would come out. You can try it if you want to. :-)))
Randy
I feel like im square dancing. this is definitly reminding me of the country toons you listen to a country fair. Really cool and upbeat. i like it keep making these awesome songs
Hello there!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out this tune. I played one of your tunes and left a review....so it is good that you didn't mind playing a tune that you don't normally make yourself.
I mean it looks like your into more hip hop style and that is cool!
I make/play several styles of music, but mostly Country, Blues, and Rock right now is a favorite.
Thanks again for your review and am glad you felt as tho you were at the county fair. Sparking an emotion or conjuring up a past memory is good,
Randy
Hi there Blake,
Thanks for stopping by and listening to my tunes,
I appreciate the comments very much. Sometimes it is good to check out another genre to see what is going on.
I do that and am suprised many times at what I hear.
I will check out some of your tunes as well and give you feedback.
Thanks again,
Randy
Hi there Brent,
Thanks for listening to my 'Canadian Pride' tune. The other tune I mentioned to you, you'll like even more :-).
Not that I am trying to get you to play it, just that it is pretty good from what I am hearing from all the other reviews, and near your type of music.
Occassionly I just do some loop based material to give my fingers a rest from playing guitar.
Putting loops together is like a puzzle before you, and you decide on how to construct it.
In fact, there are actual constructions kits you can buy that have all the instruments in it including drums. So then you have all the tools at your disposal and you can make something out of many loop segments.
Once you have all the loops in order you want to have in your tune, then you have to do 'micro surgery' and place the loop into the track so that it fits seemlesly, or someone will notice the ins and outs, clicks and pops, etc.
Clicks and pops can be smoothed out by using the pencil tool from the software, and the track zoomed in all the way.
So that is the trick actually.
Thanks again for stopping by and your review,
Randy
Hi Butcher...,
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my tune. I don't believe you have reviewed any of my stuff before that I can recall, so I apprecaite you giving me a review.
I will check out one for your tunes here before I sign off.
I am glad you liked it. I enjoy working with loops sometimes as it gives your fingers a break from playing all the instruments on your own song.
I'll recommend another for you.....try 'Canadian Pride', you'll like that one too probably as it has that 'big sound' and an great guitar ending It is just a little over a minute, so not a long tune.
Randy
I like this song a lot. It has great breakdowns and transitions from chorus parts and guitar solos. You did a great job of putting this together. I might put some lyrics together for it and record a bit over it and post it. I'll let you know if I do
Hi Paul,
Thanks for dropping by. It was strange for a moment as we have a fellow at work with the same name and spelling, and I thought it was him. :)
Anyways, this was the only tune I put together of this style music (punk style). I intend to make a few more though.
I love working with loops and rearranging them, putting them together like a puzzle and hearing the results.
For instance, that piano part, I decided to place at the beginning of the tune as I felt it would set the song off.
I made note of your myspace page and will check it out, and will also review some of your tracks here and give you feedback.
You can put some lyrics to it if you want to. That would be cool.
Thanks again for your comments.
You might want to check out a couple of my later tunes. 'Canadian Pride' and 'Guitar Heros', these have a nice beat and a full sound that everyone strives for in recordings.
Hi there Mr. Looperman!
I don't believe we've met! :-)))
Your right, this is really two different types of music, but no Cajun genre exist here.
'The Dukes of Hazzard' was a great weekly TV series. I loved that orange car and all the antics that went on throughout the show. And that cute Daisy Duke.....oh my, what else can I say....!
A silly weekly TV program, and later a movie, but once you started watching it, you usually got hooked.
The music they played was mostly country songs of popular artist of the day.
Pedal Steel and Banjo songs....well, I can do that. The banjo as I mentioned earlier here is one instrument I haven't kept up on as often as the other instruments.
But it has the same open 'G' tuning as my new Dobro, so I could almost do both together.
I don't think I can get something together by this Christmas tho with the overtime coming up at work. Guys taking time off to go deer hunting and trying to use up their vacation time before the new year starts.
Anyways, thanks a lot for coming by and for your nice review. It is certainly appreciated,
Randy
Love it. A great combination of sounds all together. How can anyone not love cajun music? And sweet country slide. I'm an old hippy rocker but for some reason I've always loved this type of music. Never played it but love to listen to it. Great job.
Hi Blair,
Ahhh, great that you got to hear this tune. I was thinking of sending you a private E-mail as I knew you would like something like this...with harmonica and all.
I tried to get a cluck-cluck-cluck chicken sound using it in a couple places. :-)))
Cajun is one of my favortie types of music, but as I mentioned in another note here, it isn't around here where I live.
If by chance your interested in hearing some more, here is that fellows (Chris Miller) web site. http://www.bayouroots.com
Has some short samples to listen to. His CD is available really cheap too as he mentions on the web site. Available from C'D Baby' and others.
Let me be clear tho, I am not trying to push sales for him at all! We just had an agreement to use part of his tune into mine.
Thanks alot for your review, I appreciate it.
Randy
Hey Randy...one of my favourite listens!...what a great mix!..there's some excellent playing going on here make no mistake!....Two very appealing styles blended together in a twanging, reeling, sliding gumbo that's Oh so tasty...from singing pedal steel overtures to some hot flat pickin' turnarounds..this melange really heats up and delivers up a serve of great music that nobody will walk away from hungry....hehe sorry for the food puns but Ern's comment got me salivating...This sort of music is very thin on the ground here at Looperman and it's fantastic that your flying the flag for this style....One that relies on good old fashioned playing techniques and ability...and not what's the current flavour of the month......super work!..cheers Dave :)
Hi Dave,
So did get your boots on and dance the Clog maybe? :))))
I appreciate your long review and I feel good about the tune myself too. Making track after track of each instrument, so as to have its own style and sound and 'flavor', but yet fit in the whole picture without a stumble.
Not an easy task, but very rewarding when the whole project is done and you hear the results of your labours.
I think I need to retire just so I can keep up practicing my instruments.
I was really good on the 5-string Banjo once...able to keep up with Earl Scruggs and had the same detuners to get those dropped string sounds...like on his 'Flint Hill Special' song. So cool.
I am country at heart, but hearing me doing rock songs and blues, I just can't stop making any of them.
So anyways, Dave, thanks again for you nice comments. I've got a mean bass line coming to mind and I'll add that into my next rock tune.
I really appreciate what you do Randy. I love the sonic quality of every track that you have posted here and your knack with a hook and melody is top notch. I know this is an arranged track, but honestly it takes a great ear and experience to arrange something this great. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. Peace, Six
ADD ON: I am downloading this track, because I really want to play along with it. Also it is hitting the favorites. Thank you sir. Peace, Six
Hi ya Six,
So nice to hear from you. I also received your message on TT, so let's just say I am answering them both here.
I have to tell you, I go thru many songs before I buy one to make it into my own. Downloading samples and loops is one thing, but you gotta pay for the good stuff and put it together.
So between my own song making and assembling loops that I think will fit together, it makes me a happy camper.
What makes it even more fun is when a person like you, gives an honest praise of one of my tunes.
I'll do more loops, but I enjoy my own creating from scratch too. You know, sometimes the fingers just get a little sore and you need a break. :-)
Yes....download it, play it back on a big stereo system and you'll be in heaven, playing it many times over like I did, before I thought it was good enough to be posted.
Thanks Six, you and the others here are all my heroes.
Randy.
Slap....hey your really the man as far as I'm concerned.;-) You play the best sax going anywhere and your son is gonna be like you.
Glad you enjoyed the tune. Sometimes just a step back and do some arranging from loops is a good thing. I appreciate your comments very much.
Tomorrow (Nov 20) I should be showcased on Talenttrove.com if your interested. Over 9400 plays of my 9 songs in less than 2 months joining there.
Later friend,
Randy
Hi there Blair,
Ha Ha....geez, I hope your neck is okay now!
I got really excited myself when it all started coming together, and wondering if anyone will like it or not.
Sometimes when making a tune the regular way or from sample/loops, you get tired of it and have to put it aside. That is what I did with this one...working back and forth between the county/cajun one.. coming maybe tomorrow?
Still music is so much fun as there is no one telling you to work faster or be fired, or whatever! Your your own boss.
Thanks again Blair,
Randy

Thanks again friend from Facebook.

Great track, really well put together.
A compilation song [or maybe a whole album] from the guitarists of looperman would sound amazing. And I'll be joining you soon when my UX2 arrives.
Hi ya Helix,
Thanks to you as well for your nice review. I am glad you liked it as I loved arranging it.
I have seen the UX2 in the magazines. Looks like a mean machine and somewhat complicated. But UREI stuff is excellent. I used to own an LA-4 compressor.
Good luck to you and will look forward to hearing your music making with it. (Let me know)
Randy
Hi Blair,
Thanks kindly for the review. I appreciate it very much. Just wanted to also let you know, later this week, I will be uploading a country/cajun tune that you might like. Quite a bit different instruments in it. Mostly in 'G' tuning...Has some harmonica in it too that I put together from loops.
Randy
Arranging has become such a part of how we produce music.
The artistry is in the details.
The feel, the motion, the emotion.
Though it now may indeed be possible for one to produce convincing music without previous music training, be it classical or via the trial and error of real world experience, I still feel there is a heart and soul spirit within a piece produced by a true musician that seems to be missing when loops are simply bunched together. You are the real deal Randy.
As a fellow musician who knows what it's like to make music on a live stage under the critical eyes and ears of an audience, you have my respect.
Voltage
Hi Voltage,
Thanks for your nice comments. I appreciate them very much. I believe your very correct in that playing live on stage, as I also did for a number of years, you get a feel of how you'll be 'judged' by the first tune you play live.
If it sucks, not many people will stick around to hear the rest of your songs. First impressions count so much in everything in life.
Whether I make songs from loops or record 'live' from here at home, I have to have my own input into every song I do. Otherwise, I am just duplicating someone elses thoughts.
With all the great keyboards out there today, etc, it is so easy just to use 1 finger and create an 'amazing rhythm section' that would take 10+ musicians on stage to duplicate.
I have one of those (Korg Karma) and haven't used it.. yet..on here.
Thanks for the comments Voltage, I appreciate your work very much as well.
Randy
Hi ya SEROKSATY,
I happened to be online when your review came in. I am glad you liked the song. I like it very much. I love the full sound it has. I want all my songs to sound 'full'.
Thanks agin...I will listen to one or more of your songs here tomorrow for sure and give a review back.
Randy
Hi there Acrylic,
Thanks for reviewing the 12 string song. I appreciate your comments. The drum set I decided to use was a double bass set. Made more for heavy metal, but I like the sound of them and wanted to try out a milder set of them that I had on a disk.
So I did and only a few complaints about the drums, and also not being loud enough in the mix as you also said. I am learning 'Pro Tools' and am making tunes as I flip the pages so to speak, and thus, didn't know a whole lot about how to do mastering, but I am still learning.
Thanks for your comments. I'll check out one of your songs here as well.
Randy
Hello there Mejdi,
Thanks for taking the time to review my latest tune. I appreciate it a lot.
I buy the drums loops from www.betamonkeymusic.com . However, they do have free samples that you can download usually from each set type.
Most sets cost about $29 and you pay by using Paypal, or some other means, and then you can download them right from there, or have them sent to you via postal mail.
However, I am not sure about oversees shipping via regular mail from them, so you have to read about it on that web site.....but I know Internet downloads are available, but most files sets are over 300 megabytes. So you would need a decent speed internet connection.
On Looperman here, there are many FREE short drum loops available too.
Thanks again for reviewing my song.
Randy
Hi there Mik,
Thanks for the kind review. This is one of my most favorite tunes I have done to date.
I'll agree that it was too short. I do have a longer version made up, but it is basically the same over and over..
I see where one fellow played this song 5 times.....but never left a review. Strange eh?
Why not just download it instead?
So I guess they liked it an awful lot too. :-0)
loved it! being a blues man myself playing harmonica this is way cool hats off to you sir we should get together and work on something now that i,m back into the mix again!
Hi Johhny,
Yeah....I guess you were away for time...but glad to have you back now. Happy that you liked this slow blues tune.
Took me awhile to make it, but it was worth it. It seems the slower you go in this type of music, the more stuff you can squeeze in. lol
I don't believe that I have listened to any of your music in awhile, so I will have to check out your tracks and see what's new.
At the moment I am working on a country tune...and at the end, thowing in a Cajun part right from the Louisana bayou.
Yes, perhaps we can do something later on in a Blues song...that would be fun. I'll let you know when I start another one.
Thanks for reviewing my song and your nice comments.

Once again...great track...
Congrats...: =))

Again thanks for your review,
