I'll have to agree 100% about the guitar being overly compressed.

I am still learning as I go, and a person can work only just so long on a song.....so you then upload it and hear others comments to see how your doing, and what can be done better.

That is why the review feature of leaving feedback is important....to help out others like me who are just starting out with music software.

So you have done a song as well with just loops. Great....I am looking forward to listening to it.

I have been around a long time, and probably 10 years from now, I may not even be able to do much, so I am making the best of my music abilities now before I get 'too old'. :-)

My quest is to make quality sounding music, and having done some sound reinforcement in the past, I like making the lead part stand out so you can hear it and not hidden in the background.

Thanks for your review of this short tune. As I mentioned to Bill, I loved this song a lot and now wished I made it longer.

Arranging already made loops is fun to do...like a giant puzzle. Find the pieces that will fit together just right.

I am not sure about the Avril licks as I have only played a couple of her songs. She is an amazing talent tho for sure....and from Canada!

Any likeness of this song to her songs is purely a coincidence.

Funny, I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader and Flash, and now I can't review anyones songs, even my own.
However, on my laptop, I can. So I best not mess with upgrading Adobe on that one for a time. :-)

I am gonna upload one called 'Canadian Pride' in a few min. which is an Altern-Rock type tune you may also like. It is short tho.

Thanks again for reviewing this song. This was my first creation with using software as mentioned in the heading. I found later that my master volume wasn't up to red book code, so I have since fixed that and some other minor levels, but I didn't repost the song is all.

Am glad you liked it as I enjoyed making it. I don't sing so I am afraid all my songs will be instrumentals. Most complain that it was too short, so I try and make subsequent songs near the 3 min. length at least.

Since it takes me about a month or 2 to create a song and mix it properly, I am afraid I don't have many songs posted as I just started music creation with Pro Tools last Nov.

7 to date in fact. I believe in quality rather than quanity, plus I work a lot, so time is limited. I like a variety of music from Blues to Country and rock.
I play 6 different instruments and what I can't play, I get off royality free loop disk.

I am glad you liked this Alternate type Rock song. I had fun putting it together.

I will review more of your songs over this weekend!

I appreciate your kind words, putting me up against ACDC! I haven't listened to any ACDC in a long time myself.

In fact, I haven't boughten any CD's in several years.
Usually if I hear a song I like, I will download it off itunes for .99 cents, that way I don't have to pay big bucks for the whole album.
Music videos are $1.99 is all, no matter the length.

Last couple songs I ordered, were Edgar Winter's 'Frankenstein', and Steve Vai's 'Horsie'

That is where I got part of the idea for my intro. Great videos as you can see them play the song and learn a lot that way too.

Thanks for reviewing this tune. As you know, it took me nearly 2 months to do this one as well as the Swamp one. I try and be a well rounded musician, but my heart lies with Country, Bluegrass, Rock and Blues.

I haven't done any Bluegrass lately, but am thinking about it as well as another country song.
I haven't played my Banjo in a long time, so I better get it out of the closet. :-))))

I am glad you liked the song and it inspires you to think of feeling like your actually in a swamp with the alligators, mosquitos, etc.

Thanks for your comments on this song. Been working on it abut 2 months. So far, not many reviews, but this site has had a few problems, so maybe things will pick up.

Songs come in so fast on here, that your song is usually knocked off the first page in a matter of hours, and no one will hear it unless it is marked as a featured track...which all of mine are originally.

Hey...thanks for listening to this latest blues tune. It was done in 'C' tuning. Only 3 chords, but I think they make Harmonica's in most all the different keys?

That movie 'They live' you mentioned, I found it on the web last week and watched the whole thing while I was away. I remember watching it before a long time ago. I see what you mean about the music in the movie.

Very close and cool sounding. But I didn't copy it.
I try to make most of my songs lately to about the 3 minute mark these days.
