Description : Cinematic Jazz Hop (or Funk), with a touch of Western Rock in the middle. Most samples came from an Acid Planet 8 Pack (Magic Boogie). A lot of the samples have been edited (discard what I didn't like). Also found a Buzz Congo loop that seemed to fit in there nicely. I have not done my best on this one. I was just playing around because I haven't done one in a while. Plus I wanted to see what I could mix up with some horns. I might revisit this one some day. Meanwhile... Enjoy "As Is".

Description : A fusion using Indian sounds and rhythms with western loops. This one has a pop feel and is more coherent than others posted here. I think it has a fun vibe. Uses futureanalysis, jamievega, proecliptix and several clips from various sources. Comments welcome.

Description : INSTRUMENTAL 80bpm

Description : Namaste!!

My Rendition of the original song by Romy from Finland. A Beautiful voice. Many versions like Rock, House, Acoustic have been made of this acapella. I thought of experimenting a little with the genre. Have blended her voice with some Indian ethnic instruments as well as western instruments. Orchestrated, Arranged & Mixed by me. Do let me know your feedback.

Cheers!!!

Hope you all like it.

Description : I recorded a kick and clap using my zoom H4 in my song Into The Sunset and I really liked how I used it and decided to use the kick and clap for a separate song. I had originally planned to rap over it and make a nice southern rock beat buuuuuut plans changed. Let me know what you think.
For the record, I punched and slammed my door to get the kick/stomp effect and I clapped a bunch of times and recorded them and layered them and fixed the timing. I think this track has plenty of room for improvement. If you have anything to say, please say it. AND recommend a genre. I put it in the country category because of the southern riffs and the western feel I was trying to accomplish. Not sure if I hit it off as well as I would've liked since my voice isn't deep enough.
AND if you use any of my music or samples or whatever, please let me hear/see how you used it. I won't press charges or get mad. I'll more than likely get excited. :D

Description : Here is a New Looping tune I just completed. Built this tune based on a Rhodes Organ Rotor Riff that had the Ole Western Feel to it. Used a Rhodes Wurly Loop as my main hook heard throughout along with Tenor Sax, Guitars and a tight Drum Track. I remember the Ole School days when every dance had a song to go along with it -i.e The Twist, Cha Cha Cha, The Jerk - Mabye someone can come up with one and we can call it the TomaHawk. Lol Enjoy! And thanks for listening. Filaofsoul

Description : For the Caveman 4-track thread. This was recorded in 2001 by my band the Babylon Crackers in Bellingham, WA. We spent a week using a Tascam 4-track tape deck recording a demo for the first Western Washington University International Music Festival, and burned a CD to submit as our audition.

"Roll and Tumble (pour la reunion de Abdou et Ayshatu)"

Sean Kilpatrick (n0mad23) - Balalaika **
Blake Hausman - Guitar and vocals **
Andy Buckman - Drums (ad hoc traps made from African drums) **
Andy Hoffman - Keyboard (playing bass line) **

The melody riff is mine, and something I came up with trying to do a W. African sounding piece for a song I wanted to do for my dear friend and his spouse back in Niger. Blake was the one who realized how seamlessly it would work with the traditional blues song "Roll and Tumble."

Recorded in Andy Buckman's living and dining rooms. Live recording, with no overdubs or post-recording revisions. Four mics used for 4 tracks.

This one probably won't stay up long, but it's one worth sharing.

Description : Collab with Salook and Avanaco. Salook sent me the stems and I was inspired to do something n0madish to it. Added bull roarers, rattles, and effected barimbau to the mix and tweaked and manipulated the stems to tease out the urban aboriginal sounds.

I've tried to turn this thing into a sonic ritual - and let the sounds effect the psyche in significant ways.

FINAL FINAL DRAFT2 - rerecorded with Live and the APC 40. Added an additional track (to create more bass) of an effected monochord attempting to emulate the sounds of a friction drum. Further revised the effects on the barimbau, and rattles, too. Addition of ululations for purposes of equilibrium. Pretty intense.

Salook and I have been discussing this project as a kind of sonic triptych, with each of the 3 collaborators having a version like a panel in a painting. The iconographic triptychs were portals between the mundane world and the spiritual one, and it really feels like the "base" of this piece connects to this function.

When I was a graduate student at Western Washington University, we had a visiting professor from the Northwest Province of Cameroon join the dept. for a year. Shortly after arriving, he went to visit the nearby Lummi Reservation and was surprised to find that their masks were very similar to his own. Additionally, the Lummi had wooden longhouses just like back home, and danced the same dances but in the opposite direction. The only real difference he could see (of significance) was how the rattle is a sacred object in America, but not back in Africa.

Much thanks to Salook and Avonaco for allowing me to do this one.

Avonaco's "Action Figures" should be listened to first.

Salook's "Ham Radio" should be listened to next.

Description : this is a track that has been lying around for like 2 months already or something, another of those tracks i was taking time to finish
it is a colab track between CWarren and I, he on the tablas and me on the rest.

The idea is to blend the eastern music with the western and bind them together with Technology, so the 16 bit sounds.
i know u will enjoy this. and don't forget to leave a comment.
ps: the female vocals in there is Chinese, saying Leila meaning Tired
