Description : Featuring fragments from Marinella Mastrosimone singing Ophelia's Song on the album Mice to Meet You! by Musetta. The voice-samples are from CC Mixter. There was also a fragment used from Looperman-member PlanetJazzBass' excellent, moody piece The Death Of Gagarin. The whole point of this mix was to combine deep house/melodic trance with rockguitar, an unusual combination. The idea to try this emerged when the rockband (Bastardi Di Blues) I play in did a gig at the Solar Dance Festival in Holland last summer. During soundcheck a housebeat was played on the PA system and the drummer and I played some loose licks with the beat that were picked up by members in the audience (they started dancing). Eventually this emerged as a new idea: rockhouse. This is the first mix in that subgenre.

Description : UPDATE 26/01/2014: Improved loads of things in what is probably my greatest chillout alternative blues piece. Ambient, ethereal, groove-based delta slide blues. Contemplative and melodic. Multiple, layered , sometimes shimmering resonator guitar parts with solid, warm synth bass, an ethereal bed of pads (which are actually guitars) and second electronic drumkit to contrast the acoustic kits. I thought this was perfect a few years ago but it wasn't (and still isn't). Now has clearer drums and lots of small awkward bits of guitar have been trimmed. Quite a minimalistic and short piece for me - I don't just keep bringing in new instruments, as I usually do. This should really chill you out...

Description : Hi all, came up with a little melodic pattern the other day which I very quickly abandoned but after having a very dull weekend of music production I decided to revisit it.Finished this one in about an hour, it's not 100% there yet but you get the idea :)

Description : I was in a creative heavy mood and I wanted to compose a cool mix of metal and symphonic classical music in a melodic manner. So I pulled out all the stops, lots of keyboard padding, choir voices, classical loops and of course some meaty guitar with lot harmonies and melody solos with some very interesting breaks. Description : This song is an homage to a forgotten time - it's dark, medieval, melodic and epic. The theme is a crusade... the templars, the East... warriors, poets and thieves.I used an array of instruments : cello, timpani, xylophone, dulcimer, steel guitar, piano.
