I was inspired by those crazy guitar solo's fueled by intense feedback that you only get at live gigs. No guitars in this just synths.Let me know where you'd take it and if you don't mind any mixing tips would be appreciated.

Description : One of my greatest heavy tracks. What I find unusual is the amount of melodic and deep ambient guitar that sits on top of low, distorted riffs and fat, heavy drums. Very little synth work here apart from the sub bass, which plays almost throughout. Bass guitar in two sections and a couple of slide resonator guitar solos. Drums are a few programmed metal/rock kits, no drum loops. What I still have trouble believing and understanding is that all of the many vocal sounds in this are actually timestretched guitar parts (8x or 800% slower). I don't know why the timestretching adds such a clear vocal component to the sound. Gets darker and more intense in the middle (and towards the end) but this is otherwise quite melodic - perhaps in a way that might put off some metallers. Shitloads of guitar playing, some fairly badass, and lots of heavy, crashing drums so press play if you want to rock hard but also in a deep ambient, psychedelic way. Interesting thoughts and reflections are, as always, greatly appreciated. Detailed comments preferred...

Description : The results of one of my most intense recording sessions to date. I don't think I've explored a single key this deeply ever before. (G minor for those of you wondering) I pulled out my old Epiphone Les Paul, which I've rebuilt and customized over the years. Typed the original lyrics for the song on a couple text message drafts in my phone, then expanded upon them. Has some dubstep elements which are obvious, but it's at a higher tempo. Description : Truly one of my greatest tracks. An intense, constantly changing psychedelic deep groove journey through reggae, rock, metal, funk, blues, electronica, deep chillout and more. Slow, fast, funky, beautiful, weird, fun plus a few more adjectives. Big arpeggiated strings, slide resonator guitar, electric guitars, detuned guitar playing massive funky basslines, wicked wah, squelchy synth bass + other synths, acoustic metal and brush drumkits, hip hop drum hits and no loops. Very complex structure and mix so maybe I haven't got it right. Full track is 13 mins 55, link is in comments. Let me know if you don't think it's as good as I do. Or better. Description : Really... this is my piece of arkwork I am most proud of. High quality beats, (loops of a similar amen break [made from multiple different break'] to give it a little more energy), three different but similar basses to give a deeper and more full sound, appropriate effects to amp the song up and ambient like pads.
All made with Reason 5/Record 1.5 (beats made with Kong), intense amount sof eqing, compressing and mastering (though, I'm probably not done that yet) to help the sound come alive.
Hope you love this as much as I did enjoy making it.
