Description : This track was written around Hektor Thillet's "Ba-Boom" acapella. It's very spontaneous and unfiltered, Thanks to the wine he'd drank. I thought this would sound best as a "Faux Live" track, and Jazz always sounds best on vinyl.. So, Here is Hektor Thillet and the All-stars (not really) live at the Hollywood bowl on (a Fake) Vinyl 45.

Many of the backing loops, with the exception of two are from Mixcraft. I play three guitar tracks (out of five)
Chords are Amin, Dmin7 add9, Fmin7th and Emin7th. Tempo is 120. This is my first stab at jazz/swing/big band, so be brutally honest. I also have this without vocals if someone wants a piece or wants to collab.

Secial thanks to Webgab, PJB, frogiszcze, Momoracci and the "Full-nelson Riddle" orchestra.

I have been a fan of Big Band and Lounge since I was a kid. This sounds just like the music my Grandmother used to play while we baked on Saturdays. If I didn't know better, I'd swear I was sitting in a ballroom with ladies in elegant gowns, dudes in tuxedos, cigarette smoke filling the air while the younger girls swooned over the slicked back daddy swinging his groove.

I appreciate it. Those needle drop, sratch, and end scratch are from a effects loop pack. If you ever need something like that, just shout.

Now you have gone and done it....if there was a way to rank my favorites, this one would be in the top 3. I have always loved jazz, actually played trombone for years in a jazz group. This brings back so many great memories.

Man, you are a genius. And I think you need to dabble a bit more in this genre. There's not enough jazz on the loop. WONDERFUL!!!

One of the best tunes I've heard in a long, long time.

Along with all the other reviewers here - I love it! The opening chords reminded me of Van Morrisons "Moondance". This is great - top job!

    Thanks Much Jamie..

You hit it right on the head. My only real jazz experience is playing stuff like Steely Dan. My influences for this were Moondance, Ruby Ruby by Steely, and of course, the brilliant brian setzer.

it means a lot coming from you, for I was stealthily studying your page for some insight.

I really enjoy hearing jazz. and this piece is really good so i enjoyed much. :)
smooth fills, a great sound and arrangement, very good phrasing.
a bigger guitar solo would have been fine. but's a matter of taste.

Thanks, Glocke.. I plan on adding some more Setzer style riffs when I borrow my friend's Gretsch "Chet Atkin's guitar" with Bigsby trem. I'd also like to replace some of the Loops with some of our Loopers.
    all the best, The Goose.

Description : This song highlights a few different styles of jazz. First it starts with a kinda early 20s and 30s groove. Than it melds into a New Orleans style. Than into a sort of Maynard Ferguson big band jazz/rock groove, and finishing off with the 20s and 30s style again, all held together with some cool horns and bass. All n all, it's...Pretty Cool! Hope you like

Description : Do not freak out just because this is jazz! There's also blues, rock, funk and a little hip hop in it to break up the deep, chillout jazz sections - gets particularly rocking then funky at the end. Main bassline (the track's foundation) is recycled leftover slide resonator guitar parts detuned one octave to make a slide bass sound. Also features: piano, violin, hammered dulcimer, organ, ethereal pad guitar, bass guitar, jazz/blues/rock electric guitar and multiple programmed acoustic drumkits. This was difficult to make at times as I thought I needed more leads parts eg from sax or trumpet. But I'm happyish with the end result. I expect very little interest in this as it's both jazz and long jazz. But it's also an unusual type of genre-mixing jazz. So, leave your thoughts, good or bad, if you like...

Description : This track contains only free loops from Stayonbeat.com and several loops from Looperman artists (listed below). I "made a promise" that my next track will be use a lot of jazzy loops - well, i done with this track, for the great sadness of jazz lovers or experts i think - i fear they will never forgive me. :) While my ISP launches my internet out of the Earth system for a long time, i had to face the fact that i dont have too much downloaded jazz loops on my computer, so i think no wonder that this one is sounds like if i smoke some marihuana while making it. But hey, who cares, i like the result - it reminds me the (maybe only) really funny episode of "Breaking Bad", where Pinkman uses some heroin and flyes up with an idiotic smile on his face - that chapter is priceless. :D
I dont think this one needs a vocal, but ofcourse you can use it if you want, and as always, just write and i will give any support as i can. Any feedback welcomed too as always. Enjoy! UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!

Description : Music by Antonio Carlos Jobim. This particular piano arrangement is from one of jazz sheet piano books I found on scribd. The electric piano is MrRay22 plugin which I played on Casio CDP220 digital piano. This is also a new piece that I learned today so it was quite tricky to get a proper touch at places and overall make the entire thing sound anywhere realistic. I tried many times and this was probably the best take. Also I am relatively new to playing latin piano music. I didn't manipulate any notes after recording - instead I added few virtual vintage amps. I choose jazz but it is a bossa nova latin style. Enjoy and feel free to comment and download.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...
