O Domine Jesu Christe Feat DJAerith - Rhythmboy

6th Feb 2011 10:38 - 15 years ago
Description : This is my first track on Looperman, hi from a newbie :)

The pads are an arrangement of "O Domine Jesu Christe", a Renaissance motet by Josquin Des Pres. c. 1500, and the vocal melodies are courtesy of DJAreith, using acapellas found here at looperman (used with permission). Percussion by yours truly.

Personally I was amazed at how Aerith's vocals fit so perfectly under Josquin's counterpoint - the tempo and key were the same, and the phrasing just magically fit over the changes. All I had to do was put them together ;-)

Intentionally ambient and atmospheric, hope you enjoy the beauty of these two great artists jammin :)

This is great,beautiful!
I think that this could go instead of the ambient genre into cinematic genre! This is like some great intro / outro for the movie!
Here on looperman, there are a lot of good ambient/cinematic producers, you'll certainly fit well with other producers!DL

Welcome to the Looperman!

Final Fantasy - one of my favourite movies...

The 'orchestral' layers are basically a mix of tweaked patches from Reason's Thor, Subtractor and Maelstrom, with added layering from Digidesign Xpand and NI FM8.

Description : A blend of heavy bass, melodic piano vibes, and atmospheric synth textures. I wanted to create a sound that balances powerful low-end energy with emotional melodies and subtle sonic layers.
I'm still learning and improving my production skills. I'd really appreciate your honest feedback on the overall sound, mixing, bass balance, melody, and arrangement.

This is one of my latest experiments in EDM production. Hope you enjoy listening!
