Saltdog - MaxwellStud

Name: Saltdog
Duration: 367 s
Channel: MaxwellStud
Description: a track that kind of grew on it's own from the drum track. I remember wishing I could write something like "In the air Tonight' without copying it. I wrote this in a hotel room in chattanooga, tn., possibly in a fit of depression. All instruments and vocals are me or generic samples. Recorded with Session software on my laptop.

Definitely a little bit of Genesis influence here, but you've created something all your own! I really like the subtle atmospheres, and the minimal percussion, they create a nice ambiance. Great guitar riffs, you have a style all your own! Awesome track!

I don't think PC would touch lyrics like this - which border on making me hallucinate about things under the sink - that broken gtr that kicks off the second half makes it for me, as does the overall hotel room ambience. Safe journey, man.

Description : I wanted to create something dark and romantic with an RnB and retro wave touch. This song has a retro futurism feel to it. I was inspired by The Weeknd when I was writing this song, especially his first mixtape, House Of Balloons, hence the deep roamntic analogies in the songwriting. I have sung this song myself and produced it too. No AI used here. This is an old song.
