Description : A little country ditty I started workin' on a couple of days ago - just wanted to see if I could do country instead of metal and industrial for a change. It started with the intro guitar loop, then I added a second guitar with Spicy Guitar VSTi, threw in straight country rock drums and vocals with my crappy desktop condenser mic.

Hey Spyder :)
At first, I gotta say that country aint my style at all, but this track got me at the first note. It was really something funky about this - loved the simplicity of the groove. And a question.. Why dont you invest in a real mic? It seems you have some talent when it comes to adding vocals.
Looking forward to hear more from you buddy.
Have a great day..!
Glad you enjoyed the track, bro. Country ain't really my thing either, but I try to sharpen my skills by composing in various genres.
Yeah, I need a mic badly, but I live way out in the country, and there isn't any place out here that sells mics (believe me, I've looked). So, until I have an opportunity to go into the city (St. Louis), I'll just have to work with what I've got.
I like all forms of guitar style music and this country track you have come up with gets the feet tapping and had me jamming along. A real Gutsy feel to this track with the vocal effect/style, I can "see" this in a western movie; could have put it in Country-Cinematic but no such genre. One thing for sure it's definately your style and gets my vote. Keep 'em coming..great stuff.
Thank you very much, Daniel. I appreciate the listen and review. This song was actually sort of a dare. A friend told me that for any musician from Texas, it was mandatory to write at least one country song, so I did. I actually kinda got into it though, so I'm workin' on a few more acoustic, country-flavored tunes for the heck of it.
yet another one for the looperman book of music.. cant wait to see what you do when you go pick up a good mic! its over all s cool track.. thanks for sharing!
Thank you, my friend. You know, this song actually started out as a bit of a joke. A friend told me that any musician/songwriter from Texas had a legal obligation to write at least one country song, so I did. I really didn't expect it to be very good, but once I started working on it, well, I just kinda got into it. Glad you like it.
Nice job, I'd buy the 45 if they still made 'em. I'd play the groooves off it. It sounds kind of "humpish" like something our friend theHumps would do, b-b-b-b-b-baby. Floats like a bee, stings like a hornet. Stupendous vocals.
Thanks for the listen and encouragement, bro. Being from west Texas originally, I knew I'd have to write a country tune eventually - hell, it's in my blood. ;-)
Thanks for listening, Improve. I'm more of a headbanger than anything else, but I do enjoy a bit of "heavy" country now and then, so I though I'd try my hand at a country flavored tune for the heck of it. Glad you like it.
Thanks for listening, Michael. The intro guitar is part of an anonymous loop I picked up from another site. The other guitar is Spicy Guitar VSTi and the drums are an acoustic SF2 kit. I'm not really into country music much, so when I decided to make a country tune I thought I'd try to keep it fairly traditional.
Thanks, Wayne - I appreciate the review. As I said before, I'm pretty new at this DAW thing, so it gives me a lot of encouragement when someone with more experience tells me I'm doin' a few things right. I seriously doubt that I'll ever be up to par with the rest of you guys though. But it's fun, so....
Thank you very much, Don. I've actually only been working with DAWs for a few months (yeah, I'm a newbie), so it really blows my mind when people like my tunes. I appreciate you taking the time to give it a listen, bro, I really do....

Description : It was a long winter here, at Dartmoor. 4 Month of continued rain and damp. And suddenly (Drummroll), the sun came back. That did remind me of a collaboration with Silver Bella and her Acapella "Keep the Faith" from last year. A positive song which could have the potential to make a difference to the day. Thanks SB :-)
Description : I was actually just trying to mix up some new and old rhythms a while ago and come up with a track that just drew me in. Found it and thought I would put it out there for you guys to chew on. Let me know what you think. Send me some comments.
Description : This is my first serious attempt at a country song.
I am playing all instruments except for the drums....they are MIDI.
The song allowed me the opportunity to try my son-in-laws 1981 Gibson J40 acoustic, my new Dean Resonator Guitar and my new harmonica.
I hope you enjoy.

Thanx for the listen and review.
Peace,

I have to wonder if this is your real voice or some sort of effects added to it?
Either way its not helping the song at all.
