Funny how genre labels create certain expectations, and I really was quite surprised by this track labeled as D&B. Says more about my own biases and expectations than anything. I really like this track specifically in how it distorts generic expectations. The piano and pad work gives it a certain "ambient" quality that accentuates the percussion is a very surprising way. Works for me.

well the thing is that most people are looking for something more "jump up" kind of D&B. Thats what most people think D&B is all about. Its a pitty really, not for my tracks, but there is so much in D&b music that its a waste to limit it to just a single type of music.
