Description : Well, this is my best track to date, with an insane hardcore beat, and vocal samples from the movie "300", about soilders in an aincent battle incase you havent heard about it. Made all myself in protools, made drum loop myself, used a snare loop thats about it, recorded the rest!! well tell me what you think folks!
Listen all the way through, for the change at the end!
Oh, and one more thing. TURN IT UP!!

good track, i only have to say that the vocal samples are in a very poor quality so that kind of ruins the fun, but its kool anyway

DjSomnium replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

Thanks for the comment, i know what you mean i just randomly decided to use that vocal sample for some reason. ill try and change the vocals in the future. thanks!

definatly liking the 300 theme, this is definatly hardcore, i like the in and outs from slow vocal samples back to the beats and accapelas, one of the sounds sounds like my alarm clock kinda short but to the point, good stuffim not saying ill download it, its not my pot of beans exactly, but if it came on a station i was listening to i definatly would not change it!

DjSomnium replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

woot! thanks for the review matey! hardcore is not everyones cup of tea, and takes a while untill you can really get into it. thanks for the review!

woooow!! partyyyyy!!! really good song great melody nice pumping beat i'll be listening this song e few more times i think.

But is it legal to use those vocal samples? rule on this site is don't use anything that's not yours you dont have permission for and i'm pretty sure mark canton didnt give you his permission

DjSomnium replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

lol, the rules on this site do not specifically co-incide with copyright laws, they are just simple precaustion. seeing as this track is not offically published, and it is a short vocal sample too, it is ok, just as long as its not released!

Dj_DARKSTEPZ 13th May 2009 11:28 - 17 years ago

easy bro, ur production is tight!!!
u must have been doing this for a while, im feeling the way you incorporated those vocal samples..
what programme are u using?

DjSomnium replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

lol nope not long at all! just been doing it on and off, for about a year. But i use Protools, which not many people on this site use, which could be the diffrence im not sure. But its an AWESOME program, and it has so many features. Also i guess im a quick learner and i can pick up on many features that make a track more professional, and better quality!

I love hardstyle

the drums are perfect
all that is missing is the classic
ride and little
scratch pattern that somehow finds its way
somewhere in it haha

But it sounds great without it because
you have awesome samples

And the synths could be just a bit harder
to sound alot more beefy but you got the melody
and everything right as well as the bass

you win
XD

DjSomnium replied Unknown - 2028 years ago

woo hoo thanks toxic!! i loved the vocal samples as well, inspired me really! you are right about the ride, but i mean whatever i guess the beat is still fine. and I definatly agree about the scratch pattern but i really have no idea where i can go about getting or making one! And yeah the synth could be a bit harder, but its a little hard given the limited resources i have but i could still try! thanks heaps for your advice!!
