Thanks, glad you like it. Those 350 samples was the easy part, grab them in Reapers media explorer and drop them on a track, select how to process, and done. Going over my previous projects gathering chops was far more work :)

It's all about "No Limits", Some of the steps are listed in the comment to KayOS2, but in general, I mostly start with a four on the floor kick then find sounds and try to create a melody or even a drop, then extend, extend, extend with sounds, melodies and effects. Keep in mind that 90% of the time I will not get what I started to create, so I gave up the goal and just create ;) But never stop trying, just like with my vocal attempts, I can't sing but that never stopped me trying ;) I can do a bit of spoken word but not rap, I'm far to slow ;) So never give up and just have fun creating music and when you can't do one thing at a moment, try something different, just keep having fun!

I have a big advantage, due to my age I do not have to prove myself to the music industry as I most likely being reduced to dust before getting famous, so I just create what I like and sometimes others like it too and that gives you some fulfilment ;) But I keep my feet firm on the ground, I'm a proud tinkerer :) As last word: This experience wouldn't be so much fun without Looperman and it's community members, so thank you all!

I can not tell the hours, but I started the project on the 19th for the drum base, trying to get near to a drum from Cosmic Gate and took +/- half a hour, on the 20th I started to play with 1 of the mentioned samples and added some vox I didn't use in the end, that day I ended up with 260 of the lib samples about 1 hour, the 21st I continued and was able to send a preview to my reviewer, my nephew, took about 3 hours, 22nd I extended the track from 9 to 12 minutes, used all 350 samples and started to collect the snippets from other tracks all in an evening hour, the 23rd 3 sessions in morning, afternoon and evening total about 7 hours working on the snippets and mix, 24th nothing as I broke my finger just before noon and returned from hospital short before midnight ;), 25th just a quick look at the snippets and mix, 26nd an hour work on the snippets and mix before upload. Most likely I missed an hour here and there as I collected this info based on the backups :) so best guess +/- 20 hours.
The import of a collection of 100 samples into a track (samples stuck front to back) in REAPER: 10 seconds ;) And as usual, only mixing, no mastering.
