The Calm Before - Mindway

Name: The Calm Before
Duration: 252 s
Channel: Mindway
Description: Been wanting to do a big 80s inspired synthwave electro style track this year, and i finally got around to it. I tried to do the vocals with a 80s radio vibe, as opposed to my usual more aggressive rock style. Hope you all enjoy.

Those retro arp sequences and crisp drum dynamics give it such a nostalgic yet punchy feel. Top-tier versatility, bro!

Incredible track with excellent vocals and a vibrant sound that definitely reminded me of the 80s. Great job. Congrats!

I listened earlier but my phone froze so I couldn't comment. Superb work, as always man. You have more range and ability than you might think, I find it easy to work with you whether its with your vocals or your beats. We've been waiting to hear back from you about "Battle Tested", btw.

Mindway replied 14th Apr 2026 - 6 months ago

Thank you Aaron. I sent a reply email, and really liked what you did with Battle Tested. I also got the two tracks you sent, and will be taking a stab at one of those in a short time.

The first thing that caught my attention was the sound quality...clean and punchy. The music itself is exquisite, with arps and robotic sequences adding depth in the background. The vocals tie it all together like icing on a cake. I wasnt born in the 80s, but I can see why that era was so great. Overall, an excellent soundtrack. Much respect!

Thanks TrippleN97, I appreciate it.

Brilliant - gave me some Duran Duran vibes - I think this track is outstanding. I particularly noticed the softness of the very last part you sang - showed a whole new side to your wonderful voice, Chad

Mindway replied 13th Apr 2026 - 6 months ago

Thank you Kay. I have to try something different sometimes to keep things fresh, plus I just love 80s synth rock.

Description : One by One is a song of praise, gratitude and surrender to the Most High. It celebrates God's goodness, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the freedom and new identity we receive through Him. With every blessing counted and every heart bowed in worship, we offer our sacrifice of praise and give all glory to the Lord.
