Listen To Origin Ambient Song By ValveDriver | Looperman

29th Nov 2025 15:36 - 4 months ago
Description : What started out as an experiment in building soundscape patches in Serum2 became this. A dark ambient soundscape of a storm passing on the living planet, "Origin".
I used no other synths or sounds than the ones I created. (Aside from EQing and other effects chains.) A good pair of headphones/earbuds are highly suggested.
Please, feel free to leave opinions and feedback. I greatly appreciate it.
Thank you, and take care.
V.

always great work V, its got suspense, drama and an eerie vibe for sure, it also feels vacant and desserted, the wind is blowing a mist storm and you know there is danger you just can't see it, you got me waitin for the fright tho, a big scream at the end would have killed it, really good cinematics Aaron, thats a scary journey i felt like the grim reaper was prying. its also amazing how different the listeners feel it too, i found nothing spiritual in it like Kay i was just terrified i was gonna get eaten by a monster, fortunately i survived to write a review, top marks

What you said you felt, is exactly what I was going for! So, I was actually glad to see that you said, "the wind is blowing a mist storm and you know there is danger you just can't see it,".
That was one of the effects I was going for when I was designing the patches. I have two layered patches that were built using the Noise engine, and two oscillators set to high pitched sine/triangle waves (and a ton of filter effects, envelopes, and LFO's) for the "tension in the mist" feel. It's good to know that their intended purpose was a success.
Ambient is a new genre for me, and I'm really liking it. So, thank you for the great feedback. It lets me know I'm doing something right!
I'm glad you enjoyed, mister!
Thank you, and take care!
Aaron.

Hello ValveDriver, mysterious world type of sound....a lot of bad characters lurking just out of sight of the lead search team....this is very good cinematic sound, great effects and fills.

Thank you, Glenn. I was just playing in Serum2 when it all started. Then, everything kind of just...fell together. Thank you again.
Take care.

Great work, beautiful sounds. I imagined an ancient but still independently functioning factory on a distant planet, revered by a primitive people whose knowledge has been lost.

Wonderful, cinematic - takers you on a journey thru Icelandic terrain - has a v spiritual feel to it. This puts me in mind of some of the World music produced by Carolyn Hilliyer and Nigel Shaw, who make World Music - https://www.seventhwavemusic.co.uk/product/house-of-the-weavers/

Having never been to Iceland, I can't accurately agree with you. But being someone with a very active and vivid imagination, I can totally understand why you would pick up on that. I find it interesting that you said it has a very spiritual feel to it. It pleases me to know that my creation touched someone on that level. I will go check out Carolyn Hilliyer now. Thank you for the link!
Take care.

This is a realy good soundscape. There's a very cinematic feel to it, which conjured up a lot of different scenarios for me; dystopian wasteland, a battlefield (pre and post battle) or like you said, a passing storm. It's very dark, ominous and forboding. I like it.

Thank you, Bullitt for taking the time to listen and to comment. I know it's not a short track, so it means a lot.
Take care.

Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice

He was a simple man. A high school teacher; wife, kids. He never thought in all his life that he'd end up alone in the middle of the Apocalypse, his family dead, doing his best to survive against all odds. The zombies have grown hungrier. More agressive. They have him trapped. There's nothing he can do now.

This is my submission for phatkatz4's Halloween competition. https://www.looperman.com/forum/thread/183960/halloween-track-challenge

More heavy-breathing (shoutout to StaticNomad :P)! Enjoy this short piece.

Description : I intentionally made this song minimalistic. The drums I spliced together from some drum loops I had, there's one other loop in the mix, the rest of the instruments are played by me (bass and synths). I used the excellent (and free) Cakewalk z3ta+ vst and the BBC Symphony vst. My intention was to create a very simple and dream like ambient track. Feel free to download or comment. Feedback is always welcome. Thanks.

Description : Do the Gods like music?

What do they listen to when they are creating the fabrics of Space and Time?

Questions that can maybe never be answered but only imagined. More tones and drones from the outskirts of the universe and Neomorpheus.

Description : This is a slow mechanical ritual. Heavy, suspended, and inward-pressing. Tones breathe instead of progress, ancient intent filtered through cold circuitry. Prayer becomes signal, faith becomes vibration. Nothing resolves or rushes; it simply exists, patient and indifferent. Purified not by grace, but by repetition. Metallic, and quietly oppressive. Like deep silence.

All machinery sounds were created with Serum 2.
Enjoy.
