Description : UPDATED better reverb and warmer studio sound
hi guys, my vocal again on another of Morash' tracks, R&B Hip-Hop. its very delicate, it is a protest song of sort
lyric sheet is available.
i understood ya bro, i only provided the vocal Morash provided the beat, im ok but as long as its non commercial, im sure he'll be fine too just gives us both credit, its more exposure, not that we wanna steal the limelight, we would be pleased to part of YOUR story, good luck
thanks dub hope your bless bro, ive never ever done loops or acapellas really as they can be a nightmare if someone uses your stuff, you may have a use for it somewhere else in your work and sometimes you get hit with copyright strikes for your own work, yeah you can sort it but its still hassle i dont want so i dont really bother. but the truth is i never thought my vocals were good enough to be fair :)) maybe i judge myself to critically at times and forget the best engineers can make anyone sound good even me :))
This is awesome Paul!... I like the short punchy bars.
Really it is nice work lyrically. This is not rushed at all, really valuing the time you have on the record. I've learned that just slamming the song like you are here is a great habit. Especially if you can get your ideas out and on a rhythm, it makes you feel cool. Thats what its all about!
thanks Johnnie appreciate your time and kind words, trying to get your words heard is always a challenge to any writer in any genre, thats were i put most of my effort and its so rewarding when you here a track that you you think can help spread the message, the last 15 years the so called leaders have destroyed a generation of youth and left lots of us older ones feeling more uncomfortable too, war and destruction everywhere i go after these two faced f#ckers with all my heart
Hello Paul, there is really nothing better than finding a task in life that captivates you and constantly presents you with new challenges, as is the case with music. Music is so versatile, fulfilling and heartwarming! It is impressive how you have developed, how you constantly reach new dimensions without losing your true self. Keep it up! I will continue to strengthen and encourage you and everyone else here to continue and set new standards. It's also great that you're considering incorporating your own instruments into your songs. Because what you achieve with your own composition is always uplifting and cannot be compared to anything else. Just ask my sister!
Last week I was in Croatia and met with a painter and author. A very intelligent and cosmopolitan woman who lives alone with her dogs on the Croatian coast near Zadar. This woman, now of mature age, has such an infectious, life-affirming attitude that rubs off and is attractive. She shares her experiences with young people in schools, which makes her even more likeable. I hope to find this peace and balance at some point!
Kind regards, Manuela
thats what music done to me Manuela it captivated me, it has improved my mental health too. it challenges me everyday it never questions me, and lets me discover in my time. i question myself instead these days, i love to see a messy cutting room floor, i only put things in that have a place and not just to fill, whether it be a one shot or a perc, the structure and the transitions are more important than the words, if you dont get that right whatever you sing wont sound right. i always write more than i need and lots get dropped, i can use them on other tracks anyway, i will never be the best musician too but i play a few keys and drums, i can loop, i can write in midi so i can compose a full piece, to sit and listen to my piano with strings and woodwind gives me goose bumps i can write music like this, ive always felt music first when i was 10-11 i went to see an orchestra play in the theatre with school, we all moaned boring, that afternoon that feeling of pure ecstasy is maybe why i took drugs, ive never ever felt that feeling of high again, the power of music eh!
Hello Paul,
It's truly amazing to hear your voice humming in my head. *smiles* It's almost an acoustic challenge. But still, well done!
Kind regards, Manuela
hi Manuela, its a challenge alright :)) i keep persevering and im happy to try to stretch myself further, im trying to find an identity that i feel more comfortable with
im considering picking up the guitar again, i gave up to soon when i was younger, and now i understand chords, progressions and key scales far better and understand when people say things like 251 progression using 3rd 5th 7th inversions, semi-tones octaves, whole step whole step half step triads etc how to make both major and minor chords and now knowing what chords go with what root note, i really only ever play by ear but music theory is far clearer to me now but i had to do a lot of research and its opened up another dimension that i never understood, im working on orchestral pieces at the minute with hip- hop drums and me playing all the keys or the sythns
I like it dimestop, if I had any criticism it would be to make the vocals a smidge louder. Other than that the flow is good and melody is there. You’ve always had your own style of doing things and I think it could work in any genre. Keep killing it broham
folk? I don't know, I think more rnb than folk, but the idea is good even if your voice is not always perfect, you are more of a creator than a singer! nice words!
Michael
thanks Michael i'll take that all day long creator :)) yeah i was unsure on the genre, as i explained to Wayne i wanted to put commercial but its not an option so i have changed it to R&B that was Morash' genre and you suggest it too :)
I personally wouldn't call this folk. Drums would be real acoustic drums and real acoustic guitar, no loops. This is pop or one of the electronic genres. Not that it's any big deal, just saying.
It has a laid back approach and to me it has a summer vibe to it. Vocal panning throws me off a bit, that might be your style of mixing tho. Sometimes it's nice to do a more peaceful sounding track with impactful lyrics, it can come across to listeners as more powerful a track. Well done Paul!
hi Wayne, i get you on the genre thing, it was the only thing i wasn't sure about. it is a protest sort of thing but as it was soft and delicate, i googled it and the 3 options were as i put in description just went with folk cos it was first but possibly more commercial than folk. and thanks for the nod on the panning. after mixing it yesterday, i had three vocal layers routed to the vocal buss all different, i sang it 3 times and didn't use panning, just stereo separation and volume levels, so i thought, until i checked this morning after reading your comment. i had vocal on track 3, 6, 7, the latter 2 had stereo separation 3 had panning instead of separation, ive corrected that now, 7 was the main vox and i did try panning 3 to the left and 6 to the right, i didnt like it at all so went for separation so big thanks on that, minor errors can make or break a track. is it just me but i put so much in to writing and layout structure, full concentration, yet become sloppy and rush the finishing touches which should be the most important, i just find it incredibly boring:))
Nice one brother, I can send you the complete version. message me privately so can get your email. Keep it coming, thanks for using my beats, appreciated.
ive dm'd you bro, thanks for your kind words. as long as you keep providing great beats, i'll continue to write something worthy for them, your a great talent to have in our community your tracks inspire me and together we dont do bad for comments and listens, long may it continue

Description : R&B track inspired by Brody Brown's work on Bruno Mars' new album. Brown would be entirely unimpressed by this track, of course. He's a really fine musician. I've left the electric piano lines that are meant for vocal parts in the track. If ever I found a lyricist and and singer that could do something with this track, I'd produce a backing track version without those parts. Lots of room for a good singer to build on the melody ideas and make it their own.
well done paul.
ps i went to add to favs and realised i had already added it haha...
