Listen To Hall Monitor Weird Song By ScottBurright At Looperman.com

Description : Some samples put together in Acid. Main backing track is a couple of Sonic Foundry FX guitars cut together to make a repeating figure in A with some atonal filigree. Very standard chord progs. Mostly acoustic instrument loops. Maybe some elves. Please, someone tell me what genre this is.

Hey, this is really cool! I did a search for "microtonal" and no tracks came up, so I decided to search for "atonal" and found this gem! You should be proud of this! I regret being quite a bit higher in 2009 than I am now, and thus not finding it til now. Groovy stuff for sure! I'm going to play this on loopradio.net tomorrow! Faved for sure! Thanks for the DL!

What the fudge!? Beautiful man, a trip through mismatched colors that match up after all and make a painting that makes you feel like you are sober on drugs. The only genre I can think of for this is "Thoroughly Enjoyable". Splendidly mixed and alligned. Did you play the acoustic bits yourself? I like the vocal thing at the end and almost wish that it came twice in the song, but having it once at the end makes it sort of a hiddn track within the track itself, a treat for those who listen straight through. I give it three and a half thumbs up, because i am genetically mutated.

Sounds like you're receiving on the channel I'm sending on. The hoop-diddle choir may not match the main body of the song, and it isn't what's expected with that scratchy old country blues guitar (although both are 2/4), but all of it goes with that repeating FX figure, which somehow glues it all together. I didn't figure it out until after it was done.

I could play those acoustic parts, but I doubt I could mic it up and make it sound as good as the folks at Sony Pictures, so I used their loops. :)

I spent actual dollars on those.

Thanks so much for the use of your mutated thumbs and ears.

This is the lovechild of Weird and Fusion.
Very catchy combination of loops. Gives a nice upbeat smiling feeling. I'm sure I don't have the audio system to do this justice, but from what I could hear, I liked.

Thanks! Myself, I work with a variety of cheap speakers and headphones, except for some nice old Klipsches in my living room, which are set up all wrong for audiophile-kinda monitoring anyway. So you are probably hearing pretty much what I'm hearing. :)

I LOVE the title.. How did you think of that.

The weird little synths and the creepy sounds etched over the entire song give it flavor.

Description : A song I wrote over a guitar track that I found on YouTube. Link to the original track can be found below.

Have been attempting to write 2-3 songs over the past couple of months with little success, when this one just appeared out of nowhere.

It's a bit odd I guess (which is why I tagged it as weird) but I enjoyed creating and listening back to it, so here it is.

Thank you!

Well, about lyrics, I explain the story on description of the instrumental version. Description : So i did a bit of sound design on an interview i watched (its not a film or anything with reserved rights so Looper Admin finna chill out, lol)
its of a lady who committed a crime of passion, tortured her BF for 3 days before killing him because he had "snitched" and put many people in Jail.she shows no remorse at all and is presentably a very highly intelligent individual..this is a project i did.
basically some cinematic ambiance to accompany the tone of the convo and at the end i just put some simple loops of strings, arps and a nice killer guitar...didnt work hard on the drums tho..i dont know what genre this is so i will put it under "weird" then sit in a corner and cry coz no one listens to weird stuff lol

Description : Again not sure of genre but it is kinda weird. Very much an experiment and Im not sure if it works but someone will let me know no doubt. If you can cope at all probably better with headphones. Pad sound is guitar treated with reverbs, crazy drums constructed from Akai kits and free jazz SFZ kit, sax samples and minimal synth line from arturia minifreak

Description : I found an old recording of me playing guitar on 8-track and decided to use it in a new track. All parts have been recorded using analogue equipment. I've then slowed down, sped up or reversed as I recorded them digitally. Then came the difficult part, attempting to piece it all together in ableton without everything being too out of time (there's no way to make it perfect).
Once I'd EQ'd out some of the loudest hiss, I started applying effects and eventually mastering it all.
What you get as a final product is a simple song executed in a very weird way. I'm quite happy with the disorienting effect. I hope you like it too :)
