Holy crap Jonathan, I'm so sorry :(
I actually had to stop and sit down for a moment. That hit me like a hammer, and obviously nothing like it must have hit you.

I read a poem the other day that moved me to tears (I also wrote a song for it). It's also comforting though, through the pain. I hope it might give you a sliver of comfort.

The poem is by Donna Ashworth:

They say my friend will be ok, but I think 2023 will be a very tough year... surgery and radiation is not a lot of fun. But medical science is amazing in how much we can do these days and how much is considered treatable, so I hope for the best.
