How did you come up with the name? I think it's pretty dope. Good song overall.

BlancFroid replied 28th Sep 2019 - 7 years ago

I think I misheard something - maybe on TV, thinking someone said "hyena sunspot" when it was something else entirely. And I thought - decent song title.

Awesome pads. The breaks at 0:40, 1:20, and 2:00 are really cool. I like that the percussion isn't trying to fake real drums. The driving drum machine really sets the track.

Thanks for the listen!

Nice, almost a Vangelis vibe circa Blade Runner. cool work!

BlancFroid replied 13th Sep 2019 - 7 years ago

Love the Blade Runner soundtrack - thanks!

I love this. It's got a bit of an old school vibe. Something like a less minimal Kraftwerk thing. The percussion on this is far more complex than anything kraftwerk did. It's the synths that remind me of them. Great job.

BlancFroid replied 13th Sep 2019 - 7 years ago

I'm always thinking Kraftwerk - cheers!

EXANofficial 11th Sep 2019 14:42 - 7 years ago

The lead chords of the track are absolutely mesmerizing, and sets the mood perfectly. I'm actually glad you didn't emphasize the drums more, and instead focused on the melody of the track, making it wider as it gets along. Perfect for a movie soundtrack :D

Description : I'm gonna file this under Drum and Bass due to the beats I used. Though it's probably not DnB in the strictest sense of the word, as it starts off with a Cinematic vibe till the beats kick in (apologies for that, as I don't have a vast knowledge of DnB!). Apart from the beats and a couple of other loops, all synth/bass parts are played by me using ThornCM, Poly Max and Z3ta+ vst's. Let me know what you think? All feedback is always appreciated. Thanks.

Description : Technology is a great thing. But I'm glad to know that if it ever fails ... or simply isn't there ... I can always play my guitar or drums, or just sing. In any case, the power didn't go out during this production ... so it's electric. And eclectic.
