Description : "Funk"? I dunno, why not. Anyway, hey all, it's been a few months since I've posted anything. A few twists and turns in life and time goes by. I've been doing a lot of new music but first I have some unfinished business with the 55 tracks I made with Sunny War last year. As time has gone by, my faves have emerged from the pack, and this is one of them. Sunny's vocals are perfect, as usual, and I love the subtlety of her guitar work throughout. The song itself ain't so bad either.

I made a video for this song (I think it's my best video so far) which you can watch at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4vJfNmh1IE&t=20s

All of the songs from the Sunny sessions are available at thesunnysessions.com. Please enjoy - thanks!

Hey! Very nice track. I love the mix and mad props to Sunny for the guitar work. Had to give this one more than one listen.

CitizenMofo replied 17th Feb 2018 - 8 years ago

Thank you! Yeah, Sunny is mad good. 26, and she's been playing blues for 20 years. Real deal kinda stuff. Such an inspiration to work with her. Glad you like it!

Thank goodness for online language translators, since my French is a little...nonexistent. Yes, perspiration, dust, it's all in there, some dance moves, a giggle or two, and some spit and snot. Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it!

It sounds like you guys were in the middle of a creative storm here. Everything sounds organic and cool. And what a great voice. It's still pleasantly simmering around my brain after the song ends. Definitely a fav

CitizenMofo replied 15th Feb 2018 - 8 years ago

Yeah, we went a bit crazy. I wrote the songs as fast as I could just to hear her sing and play them. Way fun. Now long gone, the experience, but still a bunch of songs left to make videos for, which I also enjoy. Thanks for your kind comment. So appreciated!

Description : A blend of heavy bass, melodic piano vibes, and atmospheric synth textures. I wanted to create a sound that balances powerful low-end energy with emotional melodies and subtle sonic layers.
I'm still learning and improving my production skills. I'd really appreciate your honest feedback on the overall sound, mixing, bass balance, melody, and arrangement.

This is one of my latest experiments in EDM production. Hope you enjoy listening!

Description : Hey everyone, I'm sharing my new track with you. The main motif comes from a sample by Mike Hayes titled "Lament." I added a few extra touches, some drums, and vocals from the phonk genre-I thought it would be an interesting fit. Let me know how it sounds!
