Candles - Toastedavalanche
5th Jan 2016 22:19 - 10 years ago
Description : A kinda chill out, hip hop track that I created a year ago and didn't finish mixing for some reason. Thought it was a shame to waste so I thought I'd finish it up and share with you guys. Let me know what you think.
Note: I think I got the beat from LM originally. I've chopped it up a lot and changed the tempo. But if you recognize it, let me know.

Description : I'm gonna file this under Drum and Bass due to the beats I used. Though it's probably not DnB in the strictest sense of the word, as it starts off with a Cinematic vibe till the beats kick in (apologies for that, as I don't have a vast knowledge of DnB!). Apart from the beats and a couple of other loops, all synth/bass parts are played by me using ThornCM, Poly Max and Z3ta+ vst's. Let me know what you think? All feedback is always appreciated. Thanks.

Description : Technology is a great thing. But I'm glad to know that if it ever fails ... or simply isn't there ... I can always play my guitar or drums, or just sing. In any case, the power didn't go out during this production ... so it's electric. And eclectic.

Description : Atmospheric, late-night UK garage and liquid drum & bass blending deep rolling basslines, shuffled breakbeats, intimate breathy female vocals and rhythmic DJ turntablism. Chopped vocal samples and hypnotic hooks.

And keep practicing with your voice. Mine is never as good as I want it to be. But just hum along to whatever you're writing and you might surprise yourself; you may have a style of voice that fits the song :)
