Description : So I've been working a lot lately and haven't found much time for writing and recording. This is something I've been working on in little pieces where I can. When I started writing it, I decided that I wanted to make something that could be a closing track for a concept album. Let me know what you think, comments are very much appreciated :)
Like others have said, very cinematic piece and very well done! I read every comment and totally agree with them all.
I know what you mean about liking your own vocals, I am the same way but try to find a singing range or style you feel comfortable with and use it to your advantage. I had always sang backups so it took me several years to find my comfort zone for the lead. The singing is pretty good here. Ed mentioned David Gilmore and that's what I thought instantly when you started singing. It would work great on a concept album. I also think the length of it is good and getting all that you accomplished in 2:38 is a very good sign of some mighty fine songwriting.
I love your voice on this one. Smooth production. I could see this in a movie. The piano fade out is interesting to say the least, sort of how DJ's fade out a drum section so you can mix the next song, you have done this from a visual thought process. the fading piano allows the director to end a scene and bring in a new visual. Bravo.

Thank you very much. That's exactly what I had in mind. The staccato piano is meant to fade out on the characters growing sense of frustration as they fall into depression. It's very downbeat, but that's kinda what I do. Glad you enjoyed.
Definitely would work as a closing track. Sounds real good on my stereo too. I like the piano interlude at 1:31, I think the vocals (singing part) should come back one more time at 1:41 then back into piano then into that ending piano at 2:02, just my thought. Cool song :D When's your album going to be coming out? I've been meaning to put together a concept album with video, always sidetracked with something...
Thank you for your input Phatkatz4, it is always appreciated. A lot of people seem to feel the track should have a second round of vocals. I'm not adverse to this idea, except I have no idea what else to say. The lyrics are so simple that they summarize the songs concept as they stand. Maybe some inspiration will come and I'll expand it, I'll have to think on it.
As for the album. No deadline just yet. As you can see, I'm terrible at making commitments! :P
Vocal is really quite strong, in a laidback way. You can kind of sing along to it. Good chord changes. Simple lyrics that make sense.
0:48 it gets much deeper with those additional harmony vocals. A warm sound and the bass is also warm and comforting.
1:06 new synth instrument (organ?) that's kind of psychedelic as the harmony vocals come to the fore.
Droning bass is cool in the last 30 secs.
Odd structure to this and I see what you mean about it being a closing track. There's just the one section of vocal song and then it doesn't return when it feels as though it really should.
Overall: warm, pleasant and quite memorable stuff. Can't say I know quite who it sounds like. Really well produced such that I can barely fault it (and I always try).
Thank you for your in-depth analysis. It's always fascinating to learn how other's hear what you've personally created.
I agree that the structure is a little odd, I wanted the vocals to feel isolated, as if there is little else that can be said.
Your compliments on the production have really made my day (and it's only 2am here), so I'm all set for the next 22hrs). I hope you have yourself a fantastic day too!
Beautiful melancholy and sadness here...melodies are on the top, every instrument are on that right place in the right time...not much too say...gorgeous and brilliant track!!!
Thank you very much. I'm still not overly confident with leveling and EQing, so it's good to hear that the track worked for you. Can't wait to hear your next track :)
Sounds like you did this one the way I have done many in times past T.A...but even so its great therapy to be able to find a bit of music time out to replenish the mind & soul....Its a perfect album closer...makes me think..O.K.,,,just do a bit more...I really like it (seriously)..David Gilmour`s new album uses a similar approach...a short intro track called 5:00a.m....and a final track called "And Then"..that carries the same tune/theme forward...but, aside from all that..its just really well done....if you did the vocal (and I assume you did) take an extra bow...its really well done...Keep that whole album concept in mind and just do it...any what does it matter if it takes months...Its the kind of music that I can listen to for the rest of the night and its done with talent and feeling.....well done...Ed
Thank you for the kind compliments Tumbleweed. I did indeed do the vocals. I have actually been trying to get an album together. I have enough material, but I'm not sure on what direction to take it in. With this as a set ending I might be able to work it all out now. We shall see.
Description : Banda sonora de un videoclip que acabo de producir.Cuenta la experiencia de una pareja de astronautas y los recuerdos de ella al perder a su compañero. Espero que os guste. Animo y suerte para todos.
Description : Ok...here it is! Another colab with maestro Tumbleweed! Ed provided the unfinished, basic track...I composed and recorded the long intro using different synths and then added piano (well to the fore) and some brass arrangements along the rest of the track (no violin this time...hehe) and then did the final mixing to wrap it up as it is presented now. I hope you will enjoy it and we both appreciate your listening time and your valuable comments:) Otherwise all thanks to Ed!
Description : Just send me the link where you use that, please

Thank you.
Description : Dark, slow, ambient, cinematic jazz with funereal piano turning into something much funkier, psychedelic and beautiful in the second half. Out of the darkness and into the light, you could say. Instruments: electric guitar + bass, lots of synth sounds, including a horn, double bass, another big legato bass, pizzicato strings, two types of piano, a heavily delayed slide guitar instrument, zither, synth arp, one brushy drum loop, kettle drum rolls and 4 programmed acoustic drum kits. This is quite a special track for me and is only the second I've put in the cinematic genre. The more you listen, the more it changes (it even has key changes) and the last three minutes are really quite far out and should probably be longer. Best track I've made for a few months. Interesting thoughts and reflections appreciated. Free sex for the best reviews...
This track is an elaboration of dgalantic’s track “Starting Over 0172257.” It is almost entirely comprised of loops by other artists on looperman. The newsreel in the intro section is from public domain footage of the Vietnam War. Prince Fatty chimes later in with some words of wisdom. The track was sequenced with Mixtikl and edited in Audacity.
Loops from the following artists are included:
1. ThatJeffCarter’s guitar “feedback 197765”
2. three of Nightingale’s harmonica trills: “angels 0088377, inner light 0088361 and never and never 0088366”
3. Heavily fx’ed vocal excerpts from Eshar’s “7th Dimension 0002644”
4. Dcmack’s rhythm loops “2 bass drums 1- 0085449, 2- 0085446, and 4- 0085448.”
5. Steelyvibe’s choral wash “luno frunezo 0005719”
6. Nightingale’s guitar loop “diving deep 0043488”
7. Rasputin1963’s chorals “ soul ladies gospel riff 0088641 and reggae soul girls choir 0087693”

Description : So a new track for everyone. Im pretty impressed by this one, and would even place it higher than one of my best tracks, Angel And A Demon. However, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put vocals to it. I have some in mjnd, but idk if itd be better to leave as is and keep it instrumental or not. Take a listen and let me know! Also, let me know if anything is too loud, still working on my mastering.
