Description : My first attempt at recording rap vocals. My brother raps and I do everything else. There are some things I'm not entirely happy with, but this was an older mix I did on Pro Tools 6. Regardless, it was fun to record. Song was designed for radio play, hence the fat soundwave. :P Comments are welcome!

Great job on your first. It's almost spoken word in some places which is why I feel it works so well. With the the proper mix and mastering plus a little polish on the vocals I truely believe you have potential Hit Material. Keep up your great work and experimentation and be your self , not sounding like someone else but your God given self . *(Best Kept Secrete)* 5stars. Look foreword collaberating on some Amazing tracks/Songs.
I agree with the comments on the mix and mastering. Frankly, I'd have preferred to hear this with acoustic guitars backing I think. And perhaps some "interesting" additional instruments like a trombone, or accordion, or .. I don't know. I'd experiment to forge a new sound. I like the song. I thought the rap worked well. I wasn't crazy about the "wall of sound" on this one. Based on the other two tracks you've posted here, I'd say that you definitely have upped your production chops. If you still have the audio tracks from this one, I think you should consider tackling a re-make some time in the future. I'm currently reading the book by Ken Caillat, the audio engineer who produced the "Rumours" album by Fleetwood Mac. They worked and reworked their tracks many times over and some of them changed significantly from the original versions recorded in their initial sessions. I'm guilty of getting fixated on my first attempts at tracks and not making the hard decisions to just dump a drum track or bass line that really isn't working. Or, not dropping all the faders down to null and re-starting a mix from scratch. You and your brother have got something really good going on here. Keep on pushing yourself for excellence.
This sounds like stuff i hear on the radio all the time. What are you doing posting stuff on line when you could be selling this stuff and making a mint from it.
You've got some serious talent.

Very easy listening quality pop song...could be a loved one for nearly every radio station...superb guitar tone and chord progression through the whole track...made for 2015 expectations...:-)brilliant...
I like it. The song itself is solid, the vocals are great and apart from a few tweaks in the mastering, nothing else is needed. I'd gladly play this on Loop Radio.
yeah, this song was an older one I did before I knew how to master correctly. The issue when I did this was that it was too quiet at the final product and I didnt have the appropriate tools to raise it without losing the dynamic variation. I think my goal was I didnt want the listener to have to boost their volume control way up to hear the song, but I did overdo it I suppose.

Description : This one has been sitting on my computer for a bit now but didn't really like it. My friends say it can use some vocals and I think that is what this one needs. If there is anyone who wants to put some vocals on this, send me an email at .magic41151@yahoo.com. or post below. Thanks for tuning in and have a great day!

I worked on it with many pauses for a long period but i think its ready now!
Love and peace!
Description : Another old song I recorded over a year ago. Used an iPad for the drums and strings and I played my oldest brother's Gibson Les Paul Custom for the guitars. Enjoy! Not my best mix, but it was done over a year ago :P

Respect and shake hands, Danke
However, the mix is so very loud that I'm finding it uncomfortable to listen to. So, in that sense, it's definitely not chillout music.
Have a look at your waveform - it's a pretty thick tube of toothpaste so there's a real lack of dynamic variation.
Ask me if you're not quite sure what I mean by that. Maybe you just boosted the levels far too much at the end as you were finishing things off.
It's also much more like pop music than chillout (even if were not such a loud master).
Remix it and make it less loud and I'll give some more detail as there's some good work going on here.
