Farid, first let me say thank you for introducing all of us to this marvelous instrument. It has a beautiful sound, especially in the hands of an expert :). Like Ed said, it is amazing that this was recorded on a webcam microphone....but also shows that you don't need a bunch of fancy equipment to make a great recording.

Really well done!!! Keep making beautiful music. I hope all is well.

Hi Farid....It is a pleasure to hear a different instrument performed with feeling and skill...I think emotions of the heart and talent always produce the finest music...The setar is new to western ears but I know it has been around a very long time...it`s sound is a bit like an instrument we call a dulcimer (used often in traditional north american acoustic music...country, bluegrass, etc)...It surprises me that this was recorded with a webcam microphone as it sounds nice and clear....Well done my friend...I am sure your lady will be happy with you...Ed

Thanks for sharing this with us: the "setar" is an instrument that we don't happen to hear often.
I find this instruments has a very "sad" sound.

It's really refreshing to hear a track sounding absolutely live, which is real rarity here and more so when it features a less known instrument. It was a pleasure to listen! Thx!

Hi Farid, my dear friend .
I "jumped" on this when I saw its name ;)
Though I'm not used to listen to / and don't know much about setar, I can figure out how difficult it is to play this beautiful instrument . I love these harmonies I'm discovering through your track which "breathes" a lot through pauses and more impetuous moments . My spirit travelled far away while listening and I thank you for that trip .
    Hope you're doing well,
Mibousamat to you and your closest ones,
    Take care, my friend .

    Hi dear Carole.
"Jumped" such a kindness from you ;)
Happy to see you like it.
I believe all of instrumentals are difficult to play, u know? we play "Setar" just by one finger's nail.
It is full of pauses and impetuous moments as you said, actually I was too depressed when I played it and just wanna to record and don't care anything at those moment.

Description : I'm from Denmark/Copenhagen, and I traveled all the way to Sweden/Helsingborg just to experience the ultimate Swedish nightlife.

I have been to the hottest VIP clubs in Copenhagen and Milano. Nothing come even close to the Swedish nightlife.

I went to a bar called "Benzin Bar" and they put the bardisk on fire(with Benzin) and danced on the tables. The bartender toke some of his cloths off and sprayed champaign around and the music-mix was insane!

If you want the ultimate party experience, then Sweden is it!

I just got emailed the music director of a big Swedish radiostation. The music director agrees with me that Benzin bar was amazing! He puts this track on the music rotation!

I freaking love Sweden!
