Description : This is about the complexity of the feelings of attraction - how there's a sense of doom and dread mixed in with the wild joy of surrender. Now don't cringe at the idea of the 'spoken word' - I think this piece rocks. The structure is a basic call and response, or question/answer, with most of the piece being an answer to the question posed in the first part. All the loops came from this site. I almost just posted a music video for this piece under Citizen Mofo on youtube; I'd be honored if you'd check it out and let me know what you think.

Aw ... despite the rather dim atmosphere, I think you were successful in expressing this feeling of attraction . The tension is here, almost palpable, as the longing we feel for the other one .
I usually like when things are said frankly, 'cause life's an emergency, and your track goes right to the point, as sincere sensations should always be spoken .
Thanks a lot CM for this intense listening .
Glad to have met u,
Carole
Dear Carole, thanks for listening and commenting. Yeah with this one I was going for the combination and conflict of a sense of dread and delight that desire and longing can bring into one's heart. I wrote a bleak song once that attempted to express the same dichotomy of attraction (it's gonna be good) and repulsion (my heart will inevitably be broken). I wrote it when my marriage was ending a few years ago - along with a lot of other bleak tunes about the impossibility of love lasting. Here are some of the lyrics:
All living things
Contain a room
Where darkness grows
From the seed of doom
And this is true
Of love as well
Inside of heaven lies
The seed of hell
I like the rhythmic aspirations embedded with the vocal exercises. And then an awesome synth guitar.and back to analogue synths. Worthy of a download!.
Thanks, man. I like rhythmic aspirations embedded with vocal exercises too. And killer guitar makes me weep. The thing I've found with guitar licks, by the way and for what it's worth, is they usually sound great reversed as well, and so I do that a lot and then mix them together with unreversed for variation and build.
Description : Paul Dimestop told me to not care about my voice and rap.
So I made a little rap and this is just for fun only.
Everything made by me hope you like it :P
Description : We've reached the limit of LM. Some songs will have to be removed but there are things left yet. I have to complete my "album" and I'd like very much to show to you a nice idea which includes poetry. I've had a conversation with chat GPT about a poem of mine and it gave me a suggestion of a musical presentation of such poems. There are more so I dared to try the idea. Great help in rendering the poem to English (not a translation word by word) and cool ideas about the setup of the audio file.

Description : Shades of HipnoSis is Sexy! Shades of HipnoSis is romantic, soulful, hip hop & R&B. It's also very poetical. He's talking about how this sensual female put him in a trance. After the initial lyrics,
Kamal let's the groove ride so you can ride with it. Enjoy the female neo soul voice on the hook as well.

Main beat is a drum loop, with a kick added and one sample - all manipulated
Other versions had more percussion but not needed I think
Description : Spoken Word with Rhythm. It's a song about dedication and being there for the one you love. People can easily say what they are going to do but not really mean any of the words. I learned a hard lesson in that today.
Description : I was writing another type of track and this "Spoken Word" I ran across kinda hi-jacked the track. At least I'll have the Genre right this time.

Description : Something a bit different (is it?) based on a poetry piece from Arthur Rimbaud. It's a bit difficult to translate this text but this is pure genius IMHO: I put the french poem in the Lyrics... ok some french characters are not supported so sorry no Lyrics and you'll have to look it up :)
VOYELLES, Arthur Rimbaud, Poesies.
"Helloveden" as Stef would say ...
Dunno, but want to keep on believing .
Take good care as well, Sir .
