Wow - really is as good or better than the original. Shades of the other Janis(Joplin). I think you could have milked the last part a little more (a la Joplin) but that is a very minor quibble for a masterful production.

The second time I like a Prince cover...It`s true that "nothing compares to.." him but this (purple rain )one is...wow so gentle and bluesy and ...I love it

Dm this is just so good girl....I don`t have the original in my music file....but I`ve got this one now...the way you do it adds some subtle bluesy elements that I just love....the accompaniment is excellent..and your vocal rendition is even better than that....I was a fan before./...now I`m just a bigger one...great job....Ed

To take on such an iconic song and cover it so well is a real credit to your talent. Your voice is a pleasure to the ears, great tone, control and clarity. I would love to hear you cover U2's "One". Listening to this made me think of Mary J Blidge's duet. You have the same strength in voice. Thanks again for brining this site such tremendous talent.

There are covers, and then there are covers that actually are as good as, or even better than the original. This one borders on the latter. This is one of my wife's favorite Prince songs of all time. She's heard many covers of it, and was never really impressed. HOWEVER, your cover had her standing and applauding. She said she would PAY for your version!!! That means she was hugely impressed.

But since you put it up for download, I grabbed a copy and she will have it at the top of her favorite song playlist on her IPod. She thanks you for that :)

Absolutely one of the best renditions I have ever heard of this song (the backing track is awesome). You are one hugely talented young lady. Prince would be proud of this version, that's how good it is.
