I have to apologise for not getting back and responding to your very kind words and comments on this track. I have relocated to UK and things have gone crazy for a while. Thanks for the review. Much appreciated and my sincere apologies for taking so long to get back to you.
Finally am getting here to listen what you have put up. I chose this tune of yours as I wanted to hear Pat's vocals on it. She has done a couple songs for me and they went over well. But this type of music fits her style like a glove.
So Kudos to you and her for putting this arrangement together. very well done.
Randy
Long time since I heard from you and apologies for taking so long to reply (just moved from Australia to UK). Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting - much appreciated.
Fabulous work here, absolutely top shelf material. You have this marvelous way of coaxing every last ounce out of Patricia's vocals.....amazing work from your instrumentation to your engineering. This one is truly a work of art and an absolute pleasure to listen to.
I'm excited for the CD release. Put me down for a copy as soon as it drops. Two of my favorite artists on the same CD....it doesn't get any better than that :)
It's always good to have you stop by and post some comments. Working with Patricia's vocals gives me a great platform to construct a song from. Great timbre, amazing inflexions, soulful, tasteful and intelligent lyrics. It puts enormous pressure on me trying to do justice to it all and I'm so happy to have such great compliments from you. I have to say I enjoy the challenge immensely!
Album release imminent - I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your support.
I think this track is the most inspirational of all our work. Listening to your vocal performance when it first arrived brought me to tears. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to make music with such an amazing talent as you. Patricia, every track is a voyage of discovery and I look forward to the next one. You are truly blessed.
Hey, why a so beutifull piece. I enjoy this, we don't often listen to such a music and I am obliged to extract my old vinyl records to do that.
Very good work, well balanced and pleasant , really !
Thank you very much for you comments. I'm really glad you enjoyed this track and it's always good to know fellow loopers are driven to listening to vinyl too! Thank you.
Hey Richie..thanks to you I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of this splendid track and I can tell since then you've done some fantastic (and very subtle)post production work...man,your like a gem cutter with Patricia's voice, nudging the highs and just rolling off the lows a fraction to present the pristine like jewel of her voice...While I don't subscribe to the notion that talent is given and heaven sent I do appreciate the focus required for delivering a performance of this standard......the real gift is in the listening....thanks man.

Yes I have done a little work on the track since you first heard it and I'm really pleased to have an educated ear notice. Thank you. The analogy of the "gem cutter" works well for me. Patricia's voice is so beautiful and it's such a responsibility when constructing a track and finally mixing and mastering it. I always want to protect and maintain that timbre she has while at the same time try to make it "shine". A challenge I will never get tired of.
Thank you for your support Dave and for the recent work you did on our behalf. A true Looper professional.
Great Gospel vibe to this guys! The production is really clean. Patricia - your long sustained notes are getting better as demonstrated on the ostinato towards the end. Super job from both of you.
What to say here?
Again, this is PERFECT. A concept very well mastered.
You have known how to render the voice of Patricia very captivating, and keep you very discreetly in the background, but with great efficiency.
You are all both, the "terrible" duo of this site.
Again, my hat well down to this beautiful melody.
Respect Patricia, Respect Richie .... Mere words here, but very sincere
It is such a great pleasure to work with Patricia and strive to get the best possible sound I can. I am truly grateful for your kind words. Yes, perhaps "les enfants terribles du site"!!!!
Je tire mon chapeau aussi et beaucoup de respect pour vous.
Thank you, your words speak volumes.

Description : I wrote this song about 25 years ago; a feel good Christmas song of my own.
Using 3 part harmonies during the verse and 5 part harmonies during the chorus; 2 and 3 part acoustic guitar harmonies during the "solo".
I am performing all except for Apple drum loops.
Done in the style of Country.
Description : Gospel track sung by Patricia Edwards.I had remixed this with a verse by Lacrae. I pulled the verse but thought to upload the track anyhow. Maybe some Looper will drop a verse in it. Feel free to use on the condition to drop me a link and respect Patricia's, no commercial use clause.
Description : This hymn, (also known as the Navy Hymn), was my wife’s grandmother’s favourite hymn. Wasn’t familiar with it. The Wikipedia article had an arrangement which I used for this track. Harmony is not my work, but the orchestration is. Made the track more as an exercise in exploring harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration. I realize this is not anything close to the norm of tracks here on Looperman, but it’s always good to stir things up a bit, right?
