I downloaded this tonight, I'm gonna share it on my profile as well. It's still a GREAT piece of art. Everyone can't write muzic in reverse, but you nailed this!!!!! Thanks again. :-)
Great track, I love this kind of music. It has a Lucky Dube feel to it meaning it has a very positive upbeat Caribbean feel to it. Get work producing this around the awesome pella, Patricia is so talented. Sounds awesome, gonna dl this so thanks!
This is such a great track - well done. Love the sound of the kit. Sounds like a real drummer. Bass line is lovely. The horns are so good. The middle eight really kicks off too - brilliant. I'm knocked out with the arrangement and of course you give the amazing vocal talent that is Patricia Edwards a chance to shine through. Top job all round. Excellent. Love it.
Thank you Richie for your kind review... Drums have been played on a Roland electronic kit, using the sounds of the Toontrack Superior Custom and Vintage Expansion Series. Unfortunately, I noticed after the recording was done that I didn't play enough fills so I had to edit the drums take to add more fills and it has lost a bit of "human touch" in the process in some parts...
Thank you very much for this kind review... I'm so glad people like this song... I worked real hard on the horn section to make it sound "real". I hope the goal is reached.... I had to record individual lines. There are 3 trombones, 2 trumpets, 1 alto sax line, one tenor line, one barython line... Then I applied brillance effects and nothing quantized. Maybe I could improve the realistic touch, and I'm always looking forward to some advice for a better sound...
Again thx for taking a bit of your time to listen to this song and leaving this very kind review.
You had me, all the way up to the end haha. You gotta do one last chord with the band after I say "with you", you just gotta, three times I've listened to it and my brain goes crazy with Adrian Monk anxiety LOLOL.
This is REALLY REALLY fun, great, I never think of Reggae for my vocals, you have outdone yourself Mister! And that bass, especially on the bridge, mwahhhhhhhhh! Gon' wichoo bad self!
Well Patricia, I don't know why but when I heard your acapella I immediately thought of reggae for this one... So, here's the result... :)
I'll try to place that chord in the end and I'll send you an update :)
I'm so glad you liked it :)
Maybe I would have liked to play a variation around a second verse, even short.... :)
I'm just curious... For the bridge, was that the harmony you were hearing while writing your bridge ? I had so much fun with this chord progression....
I'm glad I have found this site, with so many people who share their talent... I'd never have had the opportunity to find such a good voice here in my little France...
oh
my
GAWD!
it sounds like a studio recording, where she is singing as the band plays. friggin awesome job on the horns and the sax, and the mix is so on point. enjoyed, wish the fav button was still around...
Hi Stereo.... Thank you for your kind review... I'm glad you like it. There's only one loop in this song ( the cabasa/maracas shakin' during the break )... Horns have been created with Vir2 Mojo Horns Library, except the solo tenor sax, which I have played...
I use EQ / Exciter / Verb to fatten the horn section...
That's it for the recipe :)
Thanks for listening.
Peace.

Description : If you ever wondered if my crazy drum machines can do also Reggae, yes they can. A totally human produced song with human made samples and loops, with no AI and "unprocessed" voices to fight the stormy Dartmoor winter mood. Just KayOS in Reggae style. Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : This track contains only free loops from several Looperman artists. I think one of my best works lately... but wonder if it's ok with headphones too - there a lot of very rough cuts. Enjoy!
Applied loops (fully or partially):
Description : Richard Shekari and I worked on this project earlier this year. I play bass, guitar, banjo, dobro and also sing on this. Richard added a cool harmonica sound and has an amazing voice. I have learned a lot from him, Richard produced this track.
Description : Took the rundown acapella from ThaSuspect, chopped'it and made a Reggae Instrumental.
Please use it to add Verses and a Chorus.
Hope you like it.
Description : A quick idea I did in one day, 2 mixes, more an exercise for myself than anything serious. Inspirations were a Peter Tosh docu for the reggae feel, a surfing vid on what a point break was for the vox, the Ace of Bass vid The Sign for the drums and Jaco Pastorius song Crisis for a bit of inspirational bass thrown in. 2 drum loops used and a vocal effect loop for the heck of it in the middle, he. Live percussion, cabasa, guiro and double maraca. Me on git, bass, vox. Here comes Summer!

Description : NEW - 2014 - I used a few samples from sterixx called riddim.
And one from seanmccuaig called vocal beat.
I used some lyrics from an older song by myself. It was more a dark wave song befor but i realy enjoyed it to sing and produce it in reggae style.
Hope you enjoy this version also.
Amazing songwriting man, this is radio material!!!
Gotta download this.
Nelson
So this could be my first ever radio material track then... :D
Working with Patricia's voice is so easy, you have so much field to play harmonies... It was a great pleasure to work that track...
