Description : One of my musical heroes passed away last week. This reggae in swedish is an homage to Stig Vig, the front man of one of my favourite bands – Dag Vag. The song is a non roots rock reggae punk type of thing. Improvised swedish lyrics just to get the Stig Vig feel. Enjoy and skank a bit. /pmk

ps Lite till means a little more.

This sounds great and is such a catchy track. I like all the different variations of reggae that is around these days. Nice recording as well, sounds really nice and clean. Always a pleasure!

Thanks Wayne, I appreciate your kind words. Way back in the eighties I wrote this kind of music for my band – greatly influenced by Dag Vag's front man Stig Vig. And I still love this type of punkish non roots reggae so it was nice to do this hommage to the man that was my main inspiration back in the days.
Again, thank you for the kind review.

Nice guitars and vocals suggestive. A gentle pace, trapped in your listening. A great sound throughout the track. I've been heard in a few minutes two wonderful songs with your incombustible composition.

Thank you, Vicen, I'm glad that you enjoyed the track as much as I enjoyed playing. And I'm honored by your kind comments.

Very cool! Quite enjoyable listening. You play well. You would have done your hero proud.

Kikajon replied 29th Jan 2012 - 12 years ago
Thank you for the kind words Scott. The band Dag Vag was nationally huge in the eighties and were one of, those bands that influenced me tremendously. Good music with empathy and humour packed in a short danceable song. I ended up writing that kind reggae tunes for more than 20 years.

Again, thanks for the nice review – and check out Dag Vag on spotify.

Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : A quick idea I did in one day, 2 mixes, more an exercise for myself than anything serious. Inspirations were a Peter Tosh docu for the reggae feel, a surfing vid on what a point break was for the vox, the Ace of Bass vid The Sign for the drums and Jaco Pastorius song Crisis for a bit of inspirational bass thrown in. 2 drum loops used and a vocal effect loop for the heck of it in the middle, he. Live percussion, cabasa, guiro and double maraca. Me on git, bass, vox. Here comes Summer!
