Dude that is FUCking COOL. And this is ORIGINAL and Art.
I have only heard two of your tracks but promise to hear some more.
My buddy worked for playstation in SF, and he hated it .. but they could use sound guys, but I heard it isn't fun work.. This is going back to school or music biz thing we were talking about earlier.
I seriously hear you mixing movies... I think you obviously do to. er.. yah. retarded comment...
This is the best reply to a response I have ever gotten, by far.
Yah, apparently the priest that said america is evil, his name was that name.. regardless.. lol.. fucking awesome bro!
But back to the track.
Well, I could normalize.. but.. dude, you know what you want. I think the mix is too quiet... can I mess with???
Your overdubs are hella cool. I am watching your movie.
How do you get these great fill-ins?
What program? I have always wished I could sample TV, or Movies, and I found a 60 dollar program but..
What is this crazy amount of commentary you have?
It is GREAT! Original.
I dig it a lot.
Seems a lil' quiet...
I googled Earl Houston and got Barock Obama... lol
hmmmmm.....
AWESOME SONG.
the fill ins come from three different places, i didnt know they had a program, that would make life way easier. but yeah, i get the wavs from youtube, jimmyrigg them myself, and moviewavs.com. if you go to listentoyoutube.com you can upload the url of any video and it will the mp3 from the video. and then when i jimmyrigg it i play the movie and put a speaker to a mic (or vice versa, haha) and record that, i found if you cover a mic with some sort of material you get a higher quality of sound. i have only used each system once, its alot of work. i like doing things like this because i want to do music for video games or movies and i imagine if i can capture the feel of lines in a game or movie i might be good at it, yeah its unoriginal but its so much fun.
the commentary has a random story to it. i beat silent hill origins a while back and one of the alternate endings is that you turn out to be the butcher, which is this games pyramid head, and youve been running around killing people in your own little world, i came out to tell my bro, and he was replaying fable and was fighting some balverines, then it hit me, a trucker who thinks hes killing werewolves while on his travels across the U.S.A, we thought of an awsome trucker name, Earl Houston was born, and bam.. the reason it was quiet in some parts was because i started recording early, and by the end of the night everybody was asleep i didn't want to take everyone up. i tried pumping the volume on the wav, but it became distorted.
most of my songs have a crazy story to it, like i imagine everbodys does.
but yeah dude thanks for the review, i imagine were kind of alike in the humor department, and barock obama, wow thats funny. holy shit i wrote alot

Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
