If you have time take a listen and give pixieboots some feedback.
It's reggae with an acid twist. Digging your vocals in the track. When i read it was about ice cream i thought "Ok.....here we go"
But it actually works really well. You have a unique approach to the reggae style and we like people who dare to be different.
An origional piece pixie.
Wow, this song really took me places! All congrats to you for creating such a piece of art! Lovely singing and interesting instrumentation! Great stuff!
I really don't know why but the construction and delivery of the lyrics reminded me a little of Lily Allen. I'm the random one by the way. Chilled out and relaxing just what I needed as I feel quite rough at the moment. Glad I stopped by for a listen.
sounds like you had fun makin this one, quite catchy, college-eqsque music (at least similar to what I hear on the local college station) nice motis, not a riff over and over ; )
you have a cool voice, and I hear a Pink Floyd influence.
Hey there MsPixieB....There's a lot of different punters out there making music...there's the one's that try and fake it then there's the one's that plagiarize until they become clones..then there's the people that 'have it'....that amorphous something be it talent, truth, wackiness or whatever..you definitely have it!..takes me back to a time when music was there to be enjoyed without having to cross reference and hire an interpreter....I like!...cheers Planet :)
Tee hee, if you youtube "cheese on toast song" and see a blonde with a ukulele that's probably my most popular food-based track!! Thanks for your welcome :)
Ice cream and reggae – it can't be more summer than this! Love it.
What a wonderful way to present yourself and I can only say: Welcome to Looperman and keep your good music coming.
Description : If you ever wondered if my crazy drum machines can do also Reggae, yes they can. A totally human produced song with human made samples and loops, with no AI and "unprocessed" voices to fight the stormy Dartmoor winter mood. Just KayOS in Reggae style. If you like our music, please look us up on kayos2.bandcamp.com
Description : Music composed by Alex Richard and Laurent Wirz. With: Hanspeter Dubach Lead and rhythm guitars, Alex Richard Bass and rhythm guitars, Claude Barbotte Hammond organ, Joël Perrin Saxophone and me at the drums. The two grooves I used for this one are to find under Loops and Sample, member laurentwirz, reggae. Also an excellent loop from member ebae. I have to say that I asked Michael Mayo before publishing it but I received no answer yet. It was pretty difficult with his acapella because it's a pretty short loop with not a lot of words (for an almost 5 minutes track)! You can ear also some background vocals from Patricia Edwards and I hope it's okay for her.

Description : This track contains only free loops from several Looperman artists. I think one of my best works lately... but wonder if it's ok with headphones too - there a lot of very rough cuts. Enjoy!
Applied loops (fully or partially):
Description : Richard Shekari and I worked on this project earlier this year. I play bass, guitar, banjo, dobro and also sing on this. Richard added a cool harmonica sound and has an amazing voice. I have learned a lot from him, Richard produced this track.
Description : Took the rundown acapella from ThaSuspect, chopped'it and made a Reggae Instrumental.
Please use it to add Verses and a Chorus.
Hope you like it.
Description : A quick idea I did in one day, 2 mixes, more an exercise for myself than anything serious. Inspirations were a Peter Tosh docu for the reggae feel, a surfing vid on what a point break was for the vox, the Ace of Bass vid The Sign for the drums and Jaco Pastorius song Crisis for a bit of inspirational bass thrown in. 2 drum loops used and a vocal effect loop for the heck of it in the middle, he. Live percussion, cabasa, guiro and double maraca. Me on git, bass, vox. Here comes Summer!

And one from seanmccuaig called vocal beat.
