Description : Got a new tool for making risers which is pretty cool (UJAM Boost) so I'm making one musical riser for each note on the keyboard. In tune risers sound great in EDM and sometimes much nicer than generic white-noise sweeps.

Description : Typically phat Roland bass, sidechained to a 4x4 kick. Made with the JE-8086. Add your own groovy beat and this bassline sound very funky and rattles the subwoofer nicely. Enjoy ;)

Description : All trance all night with the JE-8086. No other FX required when using this beast of a synth!

Description : Celebrating new year over here in Australia and just recorded these nice house chord stabs with the JE-8086 synth. This synth is just so lush I love it. Happy new year everyone!

Description : Some more kick loops from me today, this time for trance tracks (although they could work for most faster EDM). Made with Reason using the Drum Mapping tool. Reverb on some elements is from UFX Reverb 2.

Description : JE-8086 in supersaw mode. Roland supersaws sound just so epic and this chord progression demonstrates this nicely. Works well if you put a trance gate over it too. No other FX used - just the synth.

Description : Waldorf Micro Q bassline for house or tech house.

Description : Back after the break with an Access Virus C loop. Tech house bassline. Used saturation on the output and compressed with Supercharger XT by Native Instruments.

Description : Can you make good house beats with just a 909 in 2025? You bet! These house kickers are just my RD-9 and (almost) nothing else. I used the individual outs for the toms and use some subtle extra FX on those, but other than that this is just pure 909 goodness. Enjoy and happy holidays - I hope you get something nice :)

Description : Another one of my ever growing collection of lo-fi hip hop style recordings. I don't make hip hop music myself but I do have a lot of fun experimenting with drum machines and samplers to make these beats for you. This is all SP-606 recorded straight into my DAW and looped. Enjoy!

Description : For these two house beats I sampled a couple of silly little grooves from my Casio and chopped them up in ReCyle, then combined them with punchy house drums from Kong. The lo-fi feel just comes from the Casio because it is a genuine 80s bit of kit.

Description : Another spacey loopy non-linear exploration made with the Kairos live looper in Reason. This device is a lot of fun but it's probably most useful for atmospheric textures and the like. Great to have in your arsenal though if you're one of the five people who still have Reason.
