Description : A fun sort of midrange portamento bass line. It's got a real acid feel to it I think. Would also be cool in electro or breakbeat probably. This is in the key of E minor.

Description : Here is another panned tom tom beat! This time made with samples from a vintage Emu drum machine. I like to imagine the placement of the different pitches of toms in a drum kit when panning and EQ'ing my toms, and I tried to demonstrate that in this loop. This kind of loop can add a lot to a regular drum beat. Would be good for acid, house, techno, breakbeat or almost any genre really.

Description : A very cool sounding arpeggio progression, which was built with a sound from my analog modular synth. I was kind of going for an industrial sound, but this would be nice in techno, breakbeat, dubstep, maybe even trance. This is in the key of G minor.

Description : Just as the title says, it's a simple kick drum. It was part of the project that I used to create the Glitch Tech series of loops, so I thought I'd share it. It's not specifically glitch, so could be used in electro, techno, breakbeat, dubstep, and whatever else you can think of.

Description : This is a funny vintage style electronic high hat sound, with some delay tails. Meant to help melodic elements blend well with rhythmic elements. Would sound good in glitch of course, but might be nice in electro, techno, breakbeat, and stuff like that. This is in the key of D minor.

Description : This is an unusual drum beat, which was programmed with samples from the "Cooney Set" drum kit. My friend loaned me his drum set back in the day, and I got loads of samples from it. Has kind of a gated sound. Made for drumstep, but might be an interesting way to break things up in a drum and bass track.

Description : This is a pretty sweet loop made from samples of a kendang drum which is a two-headed drum used by peoples from Maritime Southeast Asia. This would be a nice touch in psy or goa trance, but could be adapted for other genres like breakbeat, tribal house, and maybe even dubstep.

Description : This is a simple but effective snare beat, with some effects to enhance the image. The sounds were created on the Casio CZ-101 phase distortion synth. As this is pretty basic, it could be at home in about any "full time" beat, in genres like psy trance, goa trance, breakbeat, house, techno or electro.
