Description : This consists mostly of a collection of Sony Acid Music loops plus a few loops I found at freesound.org and at Looperman. I was imagining Odysseus' voyage back to his beloved wife, Penelope, after the fall of Troy and his encounters with the witch, Circe, and the seductive Sea Sirens.
Description : In the great novel "Don Quixote" Dulcinea is Quixote's ideal and perfect woman to whom he gives his total devotion. He is completely and hopelessly in love with her but his love goes unrequited. The illusion of her sweetness makes the reality of the world less bitter for him to taste.
Description : I haven't posted a track here for a very long time. I hope everyone has been well. I found some vocal loops posted here by AnomalyJ and thought they were outstanding. So I made this track. Instrumental loops are from Sony Acid Music collections called Sonic Excursions, Tony Franklin Bass, Bradley Fish, Aftershock and Spectral Minimalism. Rain and thunder effects are loops I found at freesound.org and are by contributors named dobride and andriala. Hope you (and AnomajyJ) like what came together.
Description : An all loop based New Age sounding track. I was inspired by a vocal loop I found submitted by eshar....something about it moved me. Then I found lovely harp, violin and cello loops that had been submitted by Dj4real plus a choirboy loop from planetjazzbass and felt they would all go together well. Additional ambient loops came from the material included with the Sony Music Studio 7 software. I hope you enjoy listening to it.
Description : I was playing around with a loop I found at freesound.org called "cliche-hypno" (submitted by freqman) and slowly came up with this somewhat creepy piece of silliness. The female whispers of "look into its eyes, it sees what we can't" also comes from freesound.org and was submitted by Epanody. The piano and haunting harmonica loops come from Mhyst at looperman.com. All other loops are from various Acid Music collections.
Description : A few weeks ago I was looking through acapella's posted here and discovered a reading of a poem by Eshar (Elaine Sharp) which I liked it very much........both the poem and the reading. I decided to use it as a preface for this track. There are also a couple loops from freesound.org: "Mournful Violin" by cottager and "Gates of Heaven" by Argitoth; the rest are Sony Acid Music loops.
Description : A companion piece to Among the Stars. A special thanks to eshar for the whispered vocal and also a special thanks to mhyst for the softflute/piano combo melody. Other loops used are strings from DustHill and harp, cello and choral pieces plus strings from Dj4real. Other loops come from the content included with the Sony Acid Music Studio 7 software. I classified it as ambient but perhaps it could be orchestral or chill out.....hard to classify. I just hope it sounds good to you.
Description : I love reading scifi. One of my favorite books is The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell. It's about mankind's discovery of another world through music drifting across space. The planet was called Rakhat. I hope the novel is made into a good movie someday. In my mind I imagine this type of music being played during the opening credits. It's composed entirely from loops included with the Sony Acid Music Studio 7 software.
Description : Arrakis was a desert planet created by Frank Herbert in his classic science fiction novel, Dune. This planet had two moons; one bearing the image of a human hand and the other, the image of a desert mouse - called Muad'Dib. The main character of the novel later takes Muad'Dib as his own name and becomes a great leader of the desert people, the Fremen, The vocals in the piece are by Ilona from the Sony Acid Music Studio 7 loop content, as are the other loops used.
Description : Dedicated to Ravi Shankar and George Harrison.
Loops obtained from the looperman website are as follows: vocals - mhyst, sitar - Dj4real, tabla and deep tabla - s_singh. Other loops are from the content included with Sony Acid Music Studio 7.
Description : Trying to move a little more into a trance/dance type of music with a somewhat mystical, lonely feeling - but which still leaves a person feeling upbeat. The title of this one comes from the way I felt when putting it together - obsessed with getting things to come out the way I wanted. Hope you enjoy it. Made totally with Sony Acid Music Studio 7 content loops.
Description : As I mentioned before, I am a big scifi fan. I'm currently reading
The Rise of Endymion by Dan Simmons.....the final part of his 4-book Hyperion Cantos series set several hundred years in the future and concerning the evolution of mankind....physically, spiritually, and technologically. In the final two books of the series the character of Aenea discusses a term called "The Void Which Binds"....a mysterious universal force which allows for seemingly magical technology. Her take on the term is that the real "Void Which Binds" is love. I had her discussion in mind when I put together this track. Hope you like it.
Description : Is there such a thing as Nashville/reggae/techno? Anyway, I mentioned Aenea before in "The Void Which Binds." Now imagine you are on a raft with her floating down a river which flows through a series of stargates taking you from world to world.....not knowing what each world holds or what might befall you just around the next bend of the river. Made completely with Acid Music Studio 7 content loops.
Description : This was one of my first tries at putting some loops together. It's supposed to express the way I feel when I think about someone special I haven't seen in a long time....remembering highs and lows, good and bad. Was trying for more of a rock sound and I think it has elements of both hard and soft rock. It was made entirely with loops contained in the Acid Music Studio 7 software package.
Description : I put this one together this past July at the time of the 40th anniversary of man's first walk on the Moon. I was imagining how the Sea of Tranquility would look in the light of a full Earth and thinking about the timeless, ongoing dance between the Earth and her constant yet seemingly always changing companion, the Moon. I think this track tends somewhat toward a soft rock sound. It's made entirely with loops contained in the Sony Acid Music Studio 7 software package.
Description : This was made late one night this past August after I had spent an hour or so outside in the dark trying to catch a glimpse of meteor flashes from the annual Perseid meteor shower. The vocals are by Ilona from the Sony Acid Music Studio software package as are the other loops used.
Description : I put this one together after making the Perseids track. Watching meteors stream across the sky late at night made me think about the extinction level event (ELE) which occurred about 65 million years ago wiping out much of the life at that time on our planet - on the land, in the air and in the sea - and how it could very well happen again. This track moves a little slowly and may take a little patience but hopefully the listener will take the time to meditate on our place in the universe and reflect on how even a small nudge one place can lead to a profound impact somewhere else. It was made entirely with loops contained in the Acid Music Studio 7 software package.
Description : The loops provided with the Acid Music Studio 7 package included a male vocal of the phrase, "Free at last from the tyranny of matter."
I thought this just had to be fit into a track in some way. Here is what evolved. It's all loops and all are from Acid Music Studio 7
Description : When looking for guitar loops on this site I found some really nice ones posted by Ingemar and djerc7. So I made this track using some of them plus some others from the Acid Music Studio 7 package (with a little bit of organ and violin). This is for all my guitar heroes....George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix and Ottmar Leibert. By the way, the title is supposed to mean "My Forsaken Love" so if my Spanish is off someone please let me know (used a computer translator). Anyway, hope the track is pleasing.
Description : I don't know........Tinker Bell has her charms but I think Iridessa is more than just cute too. **Nickname...Dess, Dessa **Talent...Light Fairy **Likes...Order, order, and more order **Dislikes...Not knowing the right answer **Favorite Sweet Treat...Lemon meringue pie **Best Described as...Even though she tries to look on the bright side of things, she can't help being a bit of a worry wart **Favorite Flower...Sunflower **Fashion Statement...Bright and golden in her sun-dress **Lives in...A sunflower **Notable Quote..."It might be the sparkliest thing I've ever seen... and I've seen a lot of sparkly things."
Description : A song for St. Michael the Archangel, fierce and faithful leader in the battle between the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness. Patron of marines and paratroopers, he is also said to be a kind and gentle angel of death who guides souls along the way into Paradise. All loops from the Sony Acid Music Studio 7 software package.
Description : "If you believe.....clap your hands" - Peter Pan.
I had this track posted several months ago but took it down while I did a little "tinkering" with it. It's partly a tribute to the image some people see in the pictures of the Eagle Nebula taken by the Hubble space-telescope, partly a tribute to J.M. Barrie, her creator, and completely a tribute to Tinker Bell herself. WARNING! As originally imagined by J.M. Barrie, Tinkerbell can be consumed with hatred and the vindictiveness of a jealous woman. She has a very naughty streak like wanting to pull hair, or pinching savagely and using offensive language (just not on this track), and she can cast off all disguise of friendship...........but I think she still rocks!
Description : Dark matter.....what is it? Where is it? Does it even really exist? Put this one together this past Halloween when I was feeling a bit spooky and then forgot about it. Should I have? Used several organ loops found on this site and in the Sony Acid Music Studio 7 software package.
Description : Some loops from the Sony Acid Music Studio 7 software package I put together over several days of late summer, early fall thunderstorms. To me it has a soft rock sound.
