Description : Not much in the way of a melody, just riffs mostly. Anyone want to drop a lead in here, have at it. Not asking for a collaborator. Just take it and do what you like if you'd like.
Description : Short piece, some strange transitions, I think. As usual, chopped a lot of loops and messed around with the tempo. Sort of weird. Thinking about adding to it and putting in some keyboard of my own. But I'm not so hot on keyboard. Maybe add some bells. I think I'm getting better at mixing lately. Trying to be a little more subtle. Not sure, though. Would like some feedback from anyone listening.
Description : This is another old one. Entirely made from ancient Apple loops I played around with. I like the way it progresses. Was trying to do a dance tune when I started it, but I don't think I'd dance to this unless I was really, really drunk.
Description : A really old bit, using a lot of Apple loops from an extinct OSX version of Garage Band dry, and layering on some not so dry effects. Just pulled it off my list and thought I'd give it a run here.
Fusion, pop. Not sure which.
Description : It is what it is. Two shorts, I Am the E. B. and Blues Can. The latter is a blues with steel drum, which I think makes a remarkable blues instrument. All from chopped loops. Both of these sound like they were recorded in a tin box, but I like them anyway.
Description : Not sure I'm finished with this. Fusion? Dunno.
A car breaks down in NOLA. A young man from Treme walks in Little Woods, 3 a.m. Darkened doorways. Mercury street lamps.
Borrowed from two pellas by Dinty in this.
Description : While there is a rich beat in this, there are no actual drums or even drum loops involved. Neither is there much bass. Instead, I chopped some sound effects and foleys, mostly industrial type sounds and looped the pieces into the beat and bottom. The only instrument loops are the guitars and a bit of strings, which I plucked out on keyboard mostly. Also, still working on teaching myself to mix. Think I might have done a little better here than I've done in the past. But, it's process, not an event, and I'm a novice. It's a pretty strange sound and I'm not sure what genre it fits in. It's short, and I'd love to get some feedback on it. Thanks!
Description : Chopped and converted a couple of midis to make the bass in this, added a bit of keyboard, and various instrument loops, but it's all about the bass.
