You get some decent sounding woodwind results. Mine usually sound like ass, though I believe they're sampled using strictly mouths.
Has a bit of the Star Wars Cantina feel. Good for a fight scene. First horns (trumpet section?) sounds a bit hokey, but the rest are pretty nice.
Question, if you can't trust an intern, why let him feed the shark? Seems like a job for someone you trust. Gordon may leave the gate open and then the shark would be loose in the neighborhood, knocking on doors, pretending to be a Candy-Gram. Damn land sharks.
The distortion you're using is an interesting one. Sounds like it has a bit of ring-modulator in it. Neat. I like the riff. I guess you're still working out where to go with it. Best of luck!
Killer guitar tone! I actually use the Line6 Bass-PODXT-Live for everything I do. Nice that you get all those sweet tones from the guitar version. Is it still working, do you still have it?
Vocals are awesome, a lot of character in the voice, and that is 99 percent of what I look for in a vocalist. Really special quality to the voice.
The music is very well done and the ending is a nice progression. The only issue I had was with the tone of the distorted guitar. Seemed detached from the rest of the music, like recorded in a different room.
Overall, awesome. I am impressed and will be following your stuff!
For stopping by and commenting on my track. I am afraid I do not hear what you are talking about with the guitar. The sound to me sounds good. Maybe I need to get my ears checked.
That comes with to much loud music.
Everything you say is kinda rude, but all your tracks are pretty interesting, so overall it's just kinda "meh".
The clap and the ride really carried you on this one. The rest sounds like "I Want Candy". Harness that clap and ride cymbal and it'll take you to the top.
Note to Gordon: Urinate in Bossman's coffee till he starts being more personable. He seems like he might be an intelligent and interesting dude if he wasn't so dismissive of genuine praise. And Gordon, quit sniffing the White-Out.
thanks man I know this song could much greater I don't have the instruments right now to play it or I would and it would sound awesome the guy playing the piano loops I really felt his music minor2go has some awesome loops easy t write to
I now have to ask, does the band see your trombone section as total idiots? XD As I'm in a high school band and marching band us trombones get no respect, but we don't care! I love low brass and trombone lets me play low but still do cool solos.
I had fun making this. I'm starting to learn virtual instruments so this is all loops. While it sounds like using loops is easy its not. You really have to get every thing to match.
Your rhythm guitar track sounds a quarter-note early, or your pick-up note is early, something is off with the guitar and drums for sure. I'd sort that out before you look for vocals.
This will sound pretty good then!! The guitar solo at the end sounds like it was done in the right time, though very impromptu. Still some good soloing there.
I see you be drivin dem valves there! This is indeed some very heavy and dense shit you have here.
Not really a fan of the beginning tones. 0:39 is where it becomes a most enjoyable shred with some stellar distortion and feedback. Awesome.
1:17 chunkin is not my favorite either. Doesn't seem to be in time, but the delay on it is very tasty. I like the tones and squalls you get there. Sounds like a wah. I'm just not to keen on the rhythm of the chunking.
Gets a bit ethereal after that, with some nearly angelic guitars and what sounds like a whole cloud-full of angels who used to be hard partiers.
4:30 on is my favorite! Seriously the most badass thing I've heard from you. Fuckin wild as hell! Just plain snear music. Aggressive and cocky and just totally fuckin badass!!!!
5:17 Brick shat in true violent fashion. Anus devastated by shit speed.
The guitar tones that finish this track up are wild and quite epic. Rather catchy as well!!
Mr. Driver's stuff seems more industrial but this was one nice track, bro. One of your finest, for sure.
mn straight I be drivin dem valves. Gave them steel bitches a heavy pounding. A certain guy who works in a steel yard will have to find the time to replace them. But he's got valves of every description so no problem.
Shame you didn't enjoy all of it. I like it from the off but guess first riffs are too weird for you. First 40 secs are synth bass and bass g bits chopped up and reordered, then distorted. They were leftovers from Opioid. I never played the parts like that but it seemed to groove with those triplet drums.
Much quieter drop around 1:17 is almost exactly the same thing, without distortion. I like to show how the same thing can be cool both heavy and chilled. Or not cool either way if you find it too weird.
"Doesn't seem to be in time" Bass riffage is a real sample cut up job. I accept it has a weird fee. Was the foundation of the whole track so greatly inspired me.
Yeah, some weird squeaks n stuff though that's synth bass. No wah.
0:39 enjoyable shred pretty easy to play though there is also an interesting tonal effect that gets added after a while. Plus short widdly solo leading into big chill drop weirdness.
I'd expect you to be less into chill middle but like idea of "a whole cloud-full of angels who used to be hard partiers." Guess they're evil angels. Quite a few different melodies sung by those ladies. Obviously me playing them in off the keys. No pitchforks used to get actual ladies to sing evil melodies.
And then back to new badass though first just with synth megabass, drums and ladies, no guit until funky wah harmonics around 5 mins.
What is "plain snear music"? Sneering? Typo?
I was hoping to inflict some anal destruction upon thee with this one. I fired up the Anal Obliteration guitar distortion preset as well as the Colonic Explosion mastering preset.
5:17 I see as the"ultra-heavy funk". A simple riff partly embellished by chopping out a few notes of guit playing from elsewhere (eg from the very end section, just as well both use the exact same guitar tone) and thus making my playing sound cooler than it really is. I am a good guitarist but also a massive editing cheat!
This was so nearly called This Mean Motor Scooter in tribute to you.* But I got thinking of Mr Driver once those evil ladies arrived and I found myself having crossed over the Valveland borders. The border is actually open (no immigration control) though they don't get huge immigration numbers because it's a dark, foreboding place not suited to everyone's tastes. A bit like this track.
Yes, Mr Driver drives his valves in a more industrial fashion. Mine is more hard rocking band based, with actual guit fiddlin'. Shame I didn't stick any banj in here but I can't find my microphone since moving into the shed so can't record it.
Good luck repairing your exit hole.
*Will have to do Evismaed, Quivering Cunt Muscle or another interesting phrase as a tribute to you.
0:34 guitar tone is sweet as hell! Really caught my attention. Kinda too high in the mix at times but awesome none the less! Great soaring tone for leads and solos. Mic'd of amp software?
I like the strings and acoustic combo in the beginning. Very neat rhythms afterward. Pulsing and deadly. Good bass tone. Some very twisted spoken word stuff. Organ is pretty tastefully done here. Good organ sound. That stomping percussion is nice.
Guitar solo is raw and very fitting. great.
Synth soloing lead to follow is awesome and funky with some emotion put in.
There is a forum thread for this kind of track. This was a great listen!
wow Evan, than you so much for your kind words, I appreciate you taking the time to listen and feedback, I dod all kind of music but this track is really more my personality, thank you again.
Every track of yours has a totally creepy vibe that come 100 percent from your vocals. Very "I keep people in my basement" kind of vibe. I'd like to hang out with you, but not at your house.
I've just barely got "Your Cat Yeah" out of my head and now I have this one! This will keep my mind busy at work.
You've had a fan in me for a while now. Take care.

Some pretty heavy feels in here. Good breaks and frantic kick drum moments. Did you record any of this or is it loop and Midi?
Either way, it is a pretty sweet creation. The feedback gets old around half way through, but damn, that's some good sounding guitar feedback with delay. I'd run it into the ground too!
Great sense of rhythm and changes. Bass at around 4:00 is too much and overrides , but I like everything you've got here.
Hi Evan, good to hear from you! So the underwater sound happens when I change the speed and tone. I cant change the speed without changing the tone or else it sounds really funky. What can I say, its a freeware program. Ill go pro. one of these days :). I still use a Vox preamp overdrive thing that plugs directly into my guitar. Instead of earphones I run it into my computer. If u were to see my current setup in its entirety you would probly either laugh or cry.... its a mess. I recommend a metalzone overdrive pedal though my friend. Peace.
Now, you just need to bring in some tuba doing some low foreboding droning, with a thin and tiny sounding chant produced by pagan grasshoppers gathered fireside for the solstice.
Definitely think "Ewok Village at night".
Pursue it, and make it a gathering of tiny friendly creatures who are celebrating nature together.

This is a good riff you have here, and it could be made into a lot more. The delay is fitting.
If you went into something else at 1:46, this would be more interesting, however I like the section before the outro. Wicked ending sound is alarming.
Amp feedback in the middle area is a bit odd, but this has great potential!

This one seems to have more feeling than some of your others. A bit dark and depressed. Some sad subject matter. Hope everything is alright with you.
As for any critique, this track needs guitars, but I like the power your words gave.
This one seems to have an "Embrace Life" vibe, so I dig it very much.

The drums sound like they were played in a parking garage. Seem to have a good bit of reverb. I do like!
2:42 tone is trippy as hell. This one seems to show more real composing. I dig this deeply. Also reminds me a bit of late Rishloo, off Feathergun.
Favorited!
Evan
I dig the fact that it resembles Floyd, but at the same time, It does feel kind of like a ripoff. That wasn't my intent, but...
I did use a quite a bit of reverb on the drums. Actually, I used quite a bit on all of it, really.
I haven't heard of Feathergun. But given your musical tastes, I'm sure they're good, and I will definitely be looking into them.
Thanks for the kindness, brother.
Take care.

The intro reminds me of the organ music for a late night horror from the 40's.
You've got some pretty big reverb going on in places.
2:12 is the start of something pretty badass, then cuts off. I like what you had going there!
Did you say the underwater drum sound comes from slowing down a faster drum loop?
What distortion pedals do you use? Looking for something that will give a lot of options.
Hope all is well with you. Been a while, it seems.

Your track has a nice, building quality to it. Simple melodies remind me of the kind of stuff I do.
Vocals sound good. A bit mumbling, but after a bit I get used to them and all is good.
The moments of backing tracks and lead lines are the highlights. Good sound quality.
Reminds me of a Puscifer song "Mission" at times, especially the vocals.
