on Bridge Of Time by Jowe
I love cinematic tracks!! Very creative :D I'd love to hear the three part project :P

Thanks so much ! :D

I still struggle to complete that track. So I really did my best to keep the feeling in the complete version of both tracks it represents : Before Apocalypse (which is almost done) and Time (which is on creative process). That way, they could be link together and still match, even if they would be 3 separated songs. Indeed, that project may end as an Epic Cinematic "Trilogy"... we'll see.

haha, no matters how it ends (as a "trilogy" or a full track) I'll share the complete result for sure. :)

on What does it take to get you in the mood by evilarmy83
Love it! 3:D Yeah, if you got a better DAW that would really be awesome! I use Reaper, the sound quality is f'ng amazing! Look up some info on mastering, regarding frequency cutting to to clean up the mix. I double my gtr tracks and pan them right and left, double my drum tracks and pan slightly, bass center. I like the way that widens the mix and makes the drums so much more powerful. Keep these great metal tracks coming!! We definitely need more around here :D I have a few to get up.

Dude, I apologize that it has been one month since u commented on this track and I havent yet replied till now. They should have like a little red flag or something when new comments are recieved lol. Im gunna check out Reaper cuz ya, the program I use is poopy.Everytime I ##### with the sound or add an effect, it seems like it messes with it a bit.

on My uneducated attempt at dub chill step by cheeseymofodude
Don't give up! :O This sounds good so far :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gHEIF0rT2w This guy explains theory really well in a that's understandable. Scales are a pattern of notes that sound "good" together. SO take a Cmajor scale C D E F G A B C the pattern is W W H W W W H (W=whole tone or step H= half tone/step)The pattern of any major scale is the same, the notes change depending on starting note. Key is just the particular scale. So your sample being in Aflat minor would be Ab Bb Cb Db Eb Fb Gb The natural minor pattern would be w - h - w - w - h - w - w. The white keys on a piano/keyboard are whole note name no )flats or sharps) The Black keys are the sharps/flats. Enharmonic notes because they have 2 names like C# is also Db The musical alphabet is A A#/Bb B C C#/Db D D#/Eb E F F#/Gb G G#/Ab A (last A is 8 notes higher the starting one so its an octave higher) A to B would b a whole step/tone because its 2 notes apart. A to A#/Bb half step. Hope that makes some sense LOL! The you Tube link is great help I find him very understandable!! Step at a time and the puzzle comes together :D

Hello again Phatkatz4,

So you found another of my few Blues songs. Glad you liked this one. Blues isn't my favorite type of music, thus I have only made a few of them. But am happy you enjoyed it.

Hello there Phatkatz4,
Thanks for giving a listen to my 'Rocking Blues' tune.

I've done only a few Blues instrumentals as I prefer country and rock more. So there are a few others listed here in my profile. Some are done with a Dobro and slide guitar as I own and play that instrument.
I'll give a listen to see what you have up.

Thanks again,
Randy

I think the trolls, haters and leechers should all be strapped to a chair bolted to the floor in a sound proofed room, deprived of sleep while being forced to listen to Justin Beiber on loop play for no less than a month, Then they'll have a reason to hate 3:) This is a neat track :D Brilbilly said it all :O do your thing and if they don't like it **** em!!

Chased haha great description! I feel that for sure :D Mix sounds good to me. Downward we spiral as we're being chased by.... that just adds to feeling of fear no knowing what is chasing us 3:) Love it! Great track here! You should fade out the end instead of just stopping, My only suggestion here.

Yeah it does kind of stop pretty abruptly. I'll probably play around with it a little more before i move on to the next one.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving your thoughts on the track.

on The Fool by theHumps
This brings me to an old western town during the goldrush days, Awesome!! I want to join Bear walking around the desert and old gold mines listening to this :P Oh well, just listening brings me there. Love acoustic guitar!! I see no problem with midi, it has opened so many doors in the world of music creation. Instruments we normally would never be able to play are now available to us :D
theHumps
theHumps replied 14th Nov 2013 - 12 years ago
You and Bear are on the same page as far as your reaction to the track, that's funny. Can I join you guys, sounds like fun, bring some acoustic instruments and jam in a mine?

I love the ability to create using midi, it has really opened the door to so many of us "real" musicians(i don't like to use that term but...). It has opened the floodgate to creativity to millions of us who home record. I just think of acoustic music being done with more traditional acoustic instruments, not needing amplifiers or using vst plugins but my instrument choices were close to not needing amplification. These days it's hard to tell what isn't a vst.

Thanks for stopping by, cheers!

on As Freedom Dies by topvega
Welcome to America the land where freedom is endangered! I know there's ways to EQ the drums and give them a better sound.I have a large collection of single hits, many just suck haha I need to experiment alot more with drums. This is definitely metal :P Some Judas priest like vocals would sound awesome on this :D
topvega
topvega replied 9th Nov 2013 - 12 years ago
Thanks bro...I agree, more can be done with the drum sound. I need to take the time and go with a multi drum out and eq each piece of the kit. Right now I just output the drums to stereo. Maybe I can make a drum template and save it. This way all I will have to do is go in and tweak it from song to song. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.
