Very groovy. It's giving the vibes of skaters coasting down Long Beach, California, on a warm, summer afternoon. Loving the bass, the performance, melody, and lyrics.
Thanks, VicaMOOR. I think the lyrics are actually kind of funny. Singing about a cat, but for some reason they did come together pretty easily (very unusual) and allowed me to finish the track. :)
Cool track. Very intricate piano piece and a lot going on. I feel it needs to be simplified a bit more as the melody gets in the way of the lead vocals, but I can appreciate the idea.
thank you ...love jammin blues...got my bro on lead guitar..orville on live sax...i grabbed some big band horn loops and transposed and changed bpm to fit..country drums fit nice..a bit boxy..my bass broken so broomstick bass ...yes i did vocs...i will get orville to do it ..put some soul into it...i hate my vocs,,haha...need a story to be told...coz i gotta pack up n go.....yes 60s feel to it,,,...ray charles is one of my idols saw him in vegas
Haha hey man, I just bought some new hats recently but idk if they'll still fit after your comment.
But thank you for listening, I'm glad you liked it!
Yea forsure is. Can check my written on something like "pressure" to compare. Clear difference, more lyrically indepth. Improv more about the moment and feeling, than intricate bars. I dont hit the beat roll, but I hit the tempo. I'll always improv first, I enjoy it to much. Its fun, like a daily diary of how I felt. I start to actually record written material and get it where I want it and thats work.
lol damn. this is pretty gewd. to know this was created live, in an age where everything is digital, stands out. i really like those piano keys playing the bass role. if that wasn't unsettling enough, here comes the stabbing strings! also, nice mix. even though this is merely a demo, it sounds ready to go! looking forward to hearing the full project.
nice atmosphere. sounds like reverb and delay used on the guitar strings, along with the sound effects of walking. nice touch. not really a creepy vibe, more so one of somber and melancholy
Exactly, more of a creepy somber atmosphere, after all the Zombies have won. This is what I love about cigar box guitars, alone they're so expressive. A little delay and reverb just to dress up the sound a bit. This thing has a hell of a crunch distorted!
Awe thanks bro. Naw, just keep experimenting and improving. I started engineering my own songs because I got tired of going to studios nervous and pressed for time. My sound didn't happen overnight and it wasn't cheap to reach you can ask many veterans on this site. Just use the same creativity needed to create songs to make them sound better. Best of luck to you. ~ 4M@
