Water Breather - Skwishfish
24th Sep 2019 04:03 - 7 years ago
Description : GUYS!!
I've missed you all! I took a break from Looperman (and music in general) to really soul search and find a sound that fit me.
So, after 2 years of searching, I decided to give it a shot and see if I can make something that TOLD me what my style is now.
Well, here's the result! Welcome to Skwish Fish's new sound! (the song is based upon the newly released anime Demon Slayer)

Description : It was one of those lazy Saturdays and I was like "Lemme open FL Studio and see wassup", and this is what I came up with. It was an experimental track with MychMych's acapella, but I ended up enjoying the vibe.
I hope y'all can vibe with it!

Description : One of my favorites...
I found that sample; I don't remember if it was the Mandrils or not, but after chopping, splicing and dicing, the painting sounded amazing! I had to put pencil to paper (it was 2010). Before I knew it, maybe 20 mins went by and I was done.
I created, wrote, recorded, arranged, mixed and put a small master on it in about an hour. I added a good music friend Jus J. to the end about a week later.
You won't be disappointed.

Although i am not much of a fan when it comes to dubstep. Still i did find the track solid enough to comment on. Although i am familiar with dubstep, still it isn't my cup of tea really. But i did find the other elements interesting the electronic part enough to listen to it completely. So yeah still a pretty solid track indeed. So yeah a job well done on that. Keep up the good work. * Thumps Up *
My background is primarily future bass so pretty chords and progressions are my strongest asset!!
Really enjoyed the track. Dubstep is not my favourite genre, but I do respect the technical skills that are required to make a good track. I really liked the synth parts, both the stabs and the melodic lines. I thought the track was very well balanced sonically. Had good bass content on my headphones. Clean mix and a decent amount of dynamic range, appropriate for the genre. All in all, a very, very nice piece of work!
Definitely more melodic dubstep coming soon!!
I took a break too by around 2 years... I love animes too... Not a big dubstep fan, but i love to mix some dubstep elements to my tunes...
So i like it, cool work. :)
Regards, traz
Thanks for sharing
The whole thing has an awesome energy to it that makes me keep listening to it on loop:)
Love your work and please keep 'em coming as fast as you can!

Melodic dubstep is extremely difficult to pull of properly, but I'm very happy to see that you managed to pull it off!
Also, great taste in anime.
Also it seems you have a great taste in anime as well XD
Thanks again and much love
Thank you for that final drop, it was worth the wait.
I love this, the synth sounds are really great, especially that lead at 0:40!
Nice pace to the track too, I hope there's more coming.
Jack
Definitely more on the way! :) and thanks for the warm welcome!
