I like the feel of this track. As far as the mix goes, I think that you could do away with some of the lows. I feel like they are overpowering the low end of your kick.
I also like the use of reverb. It creates a nice sense of depth.
Thanks for the review, man :)
Yeah, I'm a bit insecure when it comes to bass. As for this one, I wanted to make the low end part of the track more of a feel thing. I'll think about that for my next arrangement.
Every thing sounds clear and balanced to me. The only thing that I might adjust is the level of some of the low frequencies (not 100% sure on that though). If you were going for an "old school" hip-hop vibe, then I'd leave every thing as it is. If you were trying to compare it to contemporary club hip-hop songs, then I'd boost the bass a bit.
Thanks for your feedback. I actually had the old skool feel in mind while recording this song. I think the Engg did understand the song the same way I did, trying to transcribe that feel. :) Thanks for your review.
Hey what's up Enzotic. Thank you for your time and comment. I hope you and your family have a great Christmas Eve. I'll definitely stop by your page and check out your stuff.
This is a really relaxed arrangement! I love the acoustic drums and guitar. I also really like the little guitar solo, I definitely wasn't expecting it. I think it would have sounded 10 times as good if the autotune of the vocals wasn't so obvious :(.
Many thanks for the comments. Very much appreciate it. I found it challenging finding an arrangement that would compliment the vocal (there is so much going on with it!!) and hope I have succeeded in some small way.
I can't resist putting a guitar solo on. Hope it adds some colour to the track and gives the vocal some contrast.
I like the beat a lot, but I think it can be improved in a few ways. First, I think it would be more interesting to listen to if the main synth that is playing throughout the beat changed up (maybe the rhythm, melody, or automate an effect). Also, the vocal tag that you used sounds a little distracting. I think it has a little too much bass in it. I'd try putting a filter on it to see if it sounds better without as much bass in the tag.
I really like the vibe of this track! I also feel like you did a good job in keeping me interested for the entire song. Nice work and I can't wait to hear the final result!
This is a very catchy beat. Only thing I didn't like about it was that the vocal sample that is playing in the background get drowned out by the strings.
I like the style that you were going for! Not sure if you used a pop filter or not when recording, but I can hear a lot of undesirable noise when you say some words. All in all, I love the vibe of the track!
Hey friend, thank you for the supportive comment! I consider it a win if you're listening to techno and you dance til you forget what you're listening to! So that makes me happy! I appreciate you stopping by!
This is dope! The main melody kind of sounds like the style that DJ Mustard uses. Also like how the whole flow of the track changed from being "clubby" to kind of melancholic.
Sounds like a nice little introduction! I'm not sure what capabilities Garageband has outside of recording, but if it comes with in tools like EQ or compression then they could help your voice sit better with this track and your other track. Also, you can disable downloads on your tracks if you don't want anyone to download them!
I love the bass on this track and the weirdness that the vocals bring to the track. All of the sounds going on in the background are really interesting too. Another great track!
Hey thanks very much buddy! I too am quite fond of the bass. It's totally one of the most important songs to me that I've done to date, so your comment on the vocals means a lot to me. Loopmakers deserve most of the credit for the sounds on this song, so shout out to them! Thank you for listening friend!!
I like all of the beats. The all sound familiar, yet unique. My favorite is the last one, followed by the first. I'm trying to put together a beat tape in the near future, so I'd love to hear your tape when it's done!
Overall I think the mix sounds good. One thing that I'm not a big fan of is the kick. I can hear it, but to me it doesn't stand out enough (I've never made or mixed a rock track, so this I don't know how important that is). Other that I like it!
I think that more needs to be done with the recording and mixing of the vocals. I'm not an expert on recordings, but I would try looking up some techniques on reducing the effects that a room has on a recording because that seems an issue in my opinion. Also, it is very difficult to make out what you are saying at times. With more work on the recording it will definitely be a better track. Good luck!
Yes . someone who knows...finally... I'm new to recording, just got my first mic months ago...although I'm not try'n to be a singer I do need to get my work across as best I can...just a day or two ago I found the room I was recording in was receiving too much reverberation from bouncing off the walls....yeah I know, no shielding, no pop filter.....but I never said I was some superstar, I'm here to gain the knowledge i,'m interested in not what others think I should have....it's silly to give blind recommendations without learning circumstances. Sometimes its simple!
This was really cool. Some of the melodies reminded me of stuff from old handheld games. I also love the transition around 1:45 and how the ending of the track got exciting!
I like the chill vibe and the whole track sounds great. My only criticism is that there seems like there should be more of a build up in the section of the song where most of the audio drops out at the end. Other than that, I'm a fan.
Thank you for dropping by and reviewing this one, pleased you enjoyed the listen, might look at what said in the future but for now, not doing anymore to this one, had me putting enough hair out to get it too where it is now...Also thank you for the fav...Will head your way later today and see what you have...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
I love the variety of styles that you have going on in this track and I like how your switched things up a bit with those styles with this track. Nice work!

Yes, reverb makes the world complete.
