Yes I get the cold and the white and the snow!
Your target of the game scene is spot on too.
I'm not a gamer but I have kids and grandkids who are and I can well hear this in that place.

on Cried A Million Tears by Mosaic
I feel like I'm listening to the radio here.
Very nicely put together piece this and you've worked around or within that voice so nicely.
Very enjoyable from a listeners point of view and as someone who struggles everytime to get the production right it's very enjoyable hearing how this think gels together so well.
Spot on kiddo and here's to good health.
I too am suffering health problems which take me away from this place which I enjoy so much thanks to people like you.

Nice refreshing blast!
Your voice could fit in a lot of places but I think rock would be your natural home. Fantastic getting your daughter in there with you.
She sounds fantastic too.

on Melancholy by denyjanuary ft mildperil by T0mmyy
I think you have a very emotive voice and cinematic seems a very good place for this.
I could easily be sitting in a cinema watching the first few minutes of a film and this is the opening soundtrack.
My only criticism is as mentioned by someone else ... to short. I could do a five or six minute listen on this easily.

That voice is pure gold and it alone should be earning you money. Advertising world ... documentary's voice over stuff whatever. People say money can't buy you happiness ... but what about bikes and beer?
I expect to hear this on the radio some time soon.

on Whats Love by KnightHeir
I'm going to have to kill myself!
For heavens sake I'm 63 and almost everyday I'm listening to and enjoying hip hop!
It wasn't supposed to be like this ......
I love the little tweaks in this that appear here and there ... I dunno what you call them but I'm sure you know what I mean. Extremely well put together. You or whoever are very good at editing and arranging this stuff.
Someone mentioned mixing and mastering it ... hasn't that already been done?
KnightHeir
KnightHeir replied 27th May 2016 - 10 years ago
Glad you liked the song. Thank you for the compliments. Technically it hasn't been mix/ mastered no. It sounds ok to the untrained ear, but the difference as one of my sound engineer associates pointed out to me is significant. Didn't stop me you or the others from enjoying the song apparently, which is what matters most. Have a good day.

I love this and straight away it reminded me of Yoko Ono when she was doing this stuff. Please don't take that as an insult as I'm a weird old man who found Yoko had some very creative periods in her life. Great piece.

on Saturday Bugpop by DanGoldstein
The Ugly Bug Ball moves into the 21st century! Burl Ives it isn't!This needs to be attached to some mad professor documentary about the soil and it's inhabitants.I'm thinking termites not May flies.
DanGoldstein
DanGoldstein replied 27th May 2016 - 10 years ago
Ahh, Burl Ives! Didn't he do a tv role as a millionaire?

I'm happy if the music evokes some buggy imagery. This really is for something more substantial than a May fly, you are correct. It is giving me the creeps thinking about those termites! best regards, Dan

You're exceptionally good at this looping lark Dirtz.
If I was driving along alone late at night along my favourite highway (A55 Wales) and this stuff came on the radio I wouldn't be giving it a second thought beyond this is nice and turning it up a bit.
Excellent stuff.

on Yeah Thats Funky Now by Dirtzilla
I think you've done a fantastic job of this.
You're right it's a looper's site. Many people knock looper's but loop only based music is seriously limiting and this one breaks those limits. People presume because the software is easy to use then it's easy to create something people will enjoy. I've ventured more and more into add ons VST's soft synths and such.
At the end of the day if you're using animal guts skin bone wind metal wood electricity we're all trying to produce something that people will enjoy ... listen to. Want to listen to again be inspired relaxed excited by.
Great piece of arranging and I'm betting it took a long time auditioning all the samples.
Very professional sounding piece.
Dirtzilla
Dirtzilla replied 24th May 2016 - 10 years ago
Thank You for the ears and Yes it takes a while to arrange each sample and even more time to audition each loop. I also want to thank you for understanding what Looperman is. It doesn't matter if you play an instrument or not, you're a looper here and you create with loops and you can post on Looperman for review. I use plugins and Vst's and Loops to create my track and I really appreciate a good ear and a sincere comment and/or suggestions. So with that said I want to Thank You again and Hope that you keep Following my journey is this world of Loopers.

on LUNCK - ALCHEMIST by LUNCK
Wow lot going on here.
I've tried so hard to get orchestral sounds mixed in with 21st century electricity but I just can't do it.
You've inspired me to have another crack at it.
I don't know what to say about this really because I'm not sure what I think of it where it sits with me.
One thing I know for sure is it has interested me enough to be coming back to it.
The nearest I got to doing something like this was with my track .... to war. but it didn't have this much going on.
I'll be back and thanks for the inspiration.

on Duzz Yo Momna Eat Yoplait by vigwig
This is putting the fun back in music.
Interesting use of loops and good panning.
At 2.46 something goes decidedly wrong with the mix but I have a feeling you don't care that much.
You had fun making it I had fun listening to it.
Enjoyable stuff.
vigwig
vigwig replied 17th May 2016 - 10 years ago
I guess you are referring either to the seemingly off-beat and kind of random. I couldn't hear that when I was mixing it. Or maybe you are referring to a guitar loop that appears to be unnecessary because it was cut very short. I heard both times later on but alas I can't find the master project for this track so I'm stuck with it.

Otherwise, it was fun to make and I enjoyed making people laugh their drink out their noses. vic

on Kingdoms by Billydragon1
As creative as ever Mister Dragon! I'd love to have a peep inside your mind for a whole day. I imagine it buzzing with lyrics .... things you made up .... things you heard and things you read .... all vying for position in the room marked creativity. Must be a big and busy room. I can see a thousand words ever tumbling over one another while decisions are struggling to be made on how can I put this bit and where can I use this and oh wow those words and that message are wonderful I must get it out there! Your head is like a beehive of buzzing activity.
My one criticism is your voice should be louder. The whole piece is quite gentle but a little to gentle. The message in the lyrics box needs declaring loud and clear. You need some fire and brimstone. You need to be bashing that pulpit with a sense of urgency. Eight out of ten for creativity ... ten if that voice can be fronted up.
Billydragon1
Billydragon1 replied 23rd May 2016 - 10 years ago
Brother Silver.
I am humbled by your feedback and oration.
I wanted the message to be the main focus on this track, hence the simplicity (gentle) of the track.
If the voice seems a little less, i guess it is the 'sub' bass that is bringing it down. But i did test the track on my little stereo and it seemed fine. But mastering is not in my field, usually it's just a quick mixdown for the final track.

Yes the poem/lyric has an urgent message to it for we are living in the endtimes, and yet many seem oblivious to this fact. The heart grieves when the eyes see people living in ignorance. And the timeless writing of Hosea rings true in that "My people are destroyed for their lack of knowledge(vison)".

But we who are free must continue to be and they that are blind must strive to see that this life is all vanity, that this life disappears quickly, and we are here now and tomorrow we are gone.

Stay true to yourself brother Silver.

Blessings - B.

on Journey out to space by NINJAHAHN
Retro gaming for sure!
And there's money in it.
silverman
First the genre thing.
I have no idea why this is classed as hip hop.
I'm 63 which doesn't help. We all get stuck a lot in our own time zones with music as you probably will yourself ... to a degree. The good thing is being amongst creative people on a place like this you get to flit about and enjoy all manner of stuff. I/m finding that I'm commenting on a lot of hip hop tracks. Because I'm enjoying them. I have this distorted view of hip hop being young black guys who wear their hats backwards and say yo a lot and do funny hand movements. But like I say I'm finding myself commenting on more and more of this stuff but it just sounds like good music to me. Good for film and tv production. Listening to this with my eyes closed and my hat on the right way round I was on a city street with the sun just going down and someone counting their money on the corner of an alley way.Have I got enough to hit a few bars tonight and get a cab home ... if I can avoid Johnny yeah cos I owe him twenty quid and that could ruin my plans.
I didn't check the genre by the way till I was settling in across the road from the alley watching this guy.
Okay I might be crazy but music paints mind pictures for me .... puts me in movies transports me top places and this tune did that. If it does any of that I listen all the way to the end and often .... come back and listen again ... see if the guy caught his cab.
Excellent little piece.

on The 9th Planet by Planetjazzbass
Great piece and I have to agree about the loudness. The levels need sorting. I know I know my wave forms are almost a block but I aint as talented as you so I've got a good excuse. It sits well with the description.
I'mn interested in space and creation and evolution and the whole science/religion/philosophy of reality ... struggling trying to understand quantum mechanics just now which is a truly mind altering substance in it's approach to reality. I'll give this a few listens whilst reading.
I came up with this recently ... I think it's my own as I don't remember seeing it hearing it or reading it but ....
The very first sentence in the Bible is very short but full of the whole of the creation of reality .... or I could of course just be slightly bonkers.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Beginning ... a reference to time.
Created ..... a reference to energy.
God .... a reference to spirit.
Heavens .... a reference to space.
Earth .... a refernce to matter.
Hey the tune was good and I'm downloading it!
Planetjazzbass
Planetjazzbass replied 11th May 2016 - 10 years ago
Hey Silver, thanks for listening man!...unfortunately I accidentally reset my operating system win 10 just after I made this track and lost all the files, so the level issue will just have to go down as a victim of the loudness wars! lol...the trouble I find with the word of God is essentially it is always the words of men you hear, God has never made an appearance and until he does I am not taking any sky pilots interpretations as fact...thanks again for the listen mate, and no more level issues in the future now that is something you can take to the bank! cheers Dave ;)
